Dear lord, I'm a guy and even I know not to shave it! Tweeze them and get rid of them by the root.

I have PCOS and a few under-the-chin hairs which I pluck. But my next spree is for lazer removal--even if it does supposedly last only 5 years

I have had this problem for years - ugh - it started in my early 20s and I am 48. I have plucked, had (expensive!) electrolysis done that wasn't really worth it, etc.

If you can afford it, you might try vaniqua prescription cream - no matter what method of removal you use, the vaniqua discourages future growth the more you use it - you apply it twice a day.

They have creams you can get from a dermatologist that gets rid of the facial hair. They also have those face shaver or groomers kits for both women and men that you can get at drugstores. Hope this helps!

Actually, my electrologist told me NEVER to pluck because each time you do, it causes the root to become stronger. You have to shave more often than plucking, but it doesn't cause the root to strengthen, thus making future hair removal a lot easier.

I have also had electrolosys and been told not to pluck it. It distorts the root, making it thicker & stronger! Shaving will never change the hair.

I gave up on plucking--way too many hairs to keep up with (sounds gross!) so I shave the sides of my chin each morning inthe shower. I didn't even think of doing this until I went to a party my sister gave with all her nurse friends and they say they have to shave too.

Yes, DON'T PLUCK! If it really bothers you, you can check into laser hair removal or electrolysis for a more permanent solution. Good Luck to you!
