new pregnancy
Any women out there who have just found out they are preg? And been low carbing? Curious what you plan on doing as far as diet while pregnant!

When I was pregnant, any "plan" went out of the window. All I could eat were mashed potatoes, mint ice cream and nachos. And yeah - I gained 40 pounds.
Just try to eat sensibly (lean meats, fruits, veggies, lowfat dairy). |

My doctor advised me to eat maintenance level of atkins. Of course that's not his exact words. His exact words were to cut out potatoes bread pasta, and eat lean protein lots of veggies and fruits.

How much weight did you gain eating mostly lean pros, fruits and veggies? Was that your 1st pregnancy or can u compare weight gain eating like that with another pregnancy?

I followed Lean for Life before getting pregnant and stuck to the basics of the plan during pregnancy, for the most part. There were times when I let myself indulge a bit, but I was still pretty careful. I gained about 28 pounds with my pregnancy. With my first I did Atkins maintenance and gained about the same amount.
