Yaz and nausea
My DD is on Yaz and told me every time she eats she feels so sick to her stomach. Is this normal and will it subside. She is going on her second week.

I see your thread ended up in No Man's Land.
You're guaranteed to get a lot of answers here. Not! Anyhow, not Yaz, but when I started on BC pills way back when I was sick for two weeks before the nausa subsided. I hope that helps. ![]() |

I was on YAZ for about 9 months... I don't remember how I felt when I first started taking it... but, I can tell you that it is what caused the blood clots on my lungs this past February. I was in the hospital for two weeks and am still undergoing treatment. While blood clots are a rare side effect of YAZ, it is an effect. I hope that your daughter is feeling better soon!

I do think that it's a fairly normal side effect, but if it's still happening in another week or so, I'd take her back and get her a different script. With so many options out there, there's no reason to stick with one that continues to make her sick
Hope she feels better soon! ![]() |

I started Yaz 3 cycles ago and I didn't have ANY side effects on it. I was expecting to, but didn't, so I can't really answer your question, just offer my experience with it. Sorry

I've been on Yasmin for over 2 years. When I started my Ob/Gyn said that a lot of people are queasy for the first pack or 2. And that was right on the money with me. First 2 months I felt like I was going to lose it whenever I ate too (as unsexy as they are, the Sea-bands they sell for motion sickness were AMAZING to help...they also help if you are getting a little queasy from ketosis). As soon as I started the 3rd month it was gone! Now I absolutely LOVE it!!

I gave up on BC years ago because I didn't like the fact of taking hormones to regulate hormones. Since I am now over 30 the risk for blood clots also increases so although I hear Yaz is great from many, I don't think I will be trying it for myself. |
