Hey girls!!

I just got home from the hospital today! I had my c section on Monday. My daughter Mia was born at 10:44 in the morning. She is absolutely adorable! I am having so much trouble with my computer right now. Another thing, I can't seem to shrink down the size of her pictures. I don't have photoshop program on here. could someone help me with this? I would love to share pics!

Jessica - you still pregnant? How much longer?

mrs. I how you doing?

I hope Mandi and her lil boy is doing well!

JD, my c-section was a breeze.. it wasn't nearly as bad as I was envisioning it all to be.

Also, Alex was born on 2.20.

My c section procedure was a breeze as well. But the healing now is killing me!!! It hurts to move, to get up, to sit down, to bend over! It's only four days after my surgery and I'm hoping that it'll get better soon. The worst part about it is that it hurts too much for me to jump to Mia whenever she cries. I usually have to cringe and move towards her slowly, but by then DH and mom are already there.

no i had a very tramatic c section recovery... the incision was infected... they reopened it with no anesthesia after a week of it being closed...so basically it was healing but underneath all the puss was building up... it was open for six weeks and my mom and ex hub packed it daily with guaze... it was amazingly painful and just imagine seeing your insides for 6 weeks.... to say the least i am mentally scarred...

so hoping that this next go round is boring and uneventful ...

Did they give you any pain killers? My Dr. gave me percocets and 800mg motrins.

I got paracetamol. I don't think I have access to a lot of american drugs over here.
Usually the pain is okay if I get up and down while holding my stitches. But once in a while I'll move a lil bit in bed and BAM the pain hits and it feels like someone is slicing me open.
I havn't weighed myself yet. I don't own a scale at home. I wouldn't be surprised if i havn't lost much though. My appetite has been insatiable since Mia's birth.

I was hungry the first few days and ate the hospital food.. I felt the same pain girl.. I am now able to get out of bed and get around good. Now I have no appetite at all. I am down 32 of the 40 pounds I gained.

Lucky - Congrats. Yes, your tummy will tighten up - I looked like a MONSTER for a few weeks - but it slowly snaps back. Yes, mine just hung there - but it came back. No worries. Yes, the pain is normal, should be better by end of week 2. Remember, you had major surgery!

Wow, a doc that gave no pain killer after a week - talk about mean! I was given something for a few weeks after, but didn't take much of it.

I had a great first C - but now I have a new doctor in a diff't state because of our move. I am nervous - I just hope all goes smooth and no screw-ups occur. Hubby can only stay home with me for 2 weeks and we have NO family and NO help here. If I have problems, I will really have problems.

Have a great weekend ladies.

Oh BTW, diagnosed with placentia previa at 24 weeks. 3 weeks have to get another ultrasound to see if it improves. Let's hope.

Hi all...

I am getting ready to try ttc via IVF. I have about 8 weeks to go before we actually try it. I have three kids already. I had my first one naturally, no drugs or epidural. The second one was a c-section. She was breech and I was toxemic. The surgery itself was fine. But, the next day...actually about 11 hours after the actual surgery... the doc came in and took out my staples and said,"Ok, you go home now." HUH? I said, you just did this surgery a few hours ago!!! He looked shocked, looked back at my chart and then over at the staples he removed...oh man I knew I was in for it. It was a HORRIBLE recovery. I basically had an open wound to contend with. And, yep, it got infected and we had to do the packing and cleaning it out with really long qtips that went inches inside my body several times a day.

The next c-section (new doc) was a breeze. He did some repair work on my old incision and my recovery was awesome. I was up and around and in the shower the next day. It was nothing like the first.

We are going the IVF route because I had my tubes tied after my third. My others are 15, 9 and 6...you might say I am crazy, but it's a new dh and he has none of his own...we just want to give it a try. But, get this...the new doc (another new one) says she does a bit of a revised tummy tuck after a c-section. It's her little trademark. Not anything major of course, but she gets rid of some of the flappy stuff.

Anyway, that's my story. I just wanted to introduce myself because I'll be around here alot as I go through this. I am 153 right now and hope to get to 139 before the actual implanting. That will be my lowest weight ever and actually below my goal. I wear a size 5/6 right now, so 139 will be small for me, but I think it will be a good foundation for the weight gain which is my biggest concern. It seems ridiculous to be so worried about that, but I am sure you guys understand.

Thanks for reading all of this LOL.

Hi Nicolope - wow your doctor and Jessica's seem like they took their profession to punish women! i hope they rot!!

I wish you all the best in your weight loss prior to being preggas and all the best wishes for you and your future baby.

My stitches hurt a little less today and I've gone through most of the day without having to take any pain killers.

The baby has been sooo good to me, not crying much and sooo fun to stare at. I can spend hours online sharing her pics with my family and friends at home.

Sad moment, DH brought home a scale so we can weigh the baby daily, I stepped on it and have not lost a single lb since my surgery on monday, in fact, i gained a couple i think. wat the heck?!! a seven lb baby has been taken outta me! I have been breastfeeding too!

Oh yea, I wanted to add, my doctor is from germany where he was an obstetrician as well as a plastic surgeon. I'm pretty confident in the quality of my stitches just becuase I figured he must have performed a number of stitching from just boob jobs alone.

Lucky, are you swollen around your feet/legs?
I had only lost 7 pounds when I came home which was about day 4. Then it started dropping like crazy once my doc gave me some water pills. I only gained about 25 real pounds, the rest was water.. I lost almost all of it about a week after that.

I also don't really have much of an appetite at all though.

I'm so used to be bloated during my pregnancy that I honestly wouldn't know if I still or not. I have a huge apetite so that can't help either. My mom's staying with us so she's been cooking all kinds of food for me and I havn't stopped eating. Starting today I'm going to watch out and eat better.
