Need some advice please

Well I don,t know what to do please help me.I ask my daughter if she had change for $5.00 she said she thought so look in her purse so I did.she had change alright and a pregancy test unopened.I know she probally forgot she had it in there I think she realized later on in the day that I probally saw it.She looked at me funny a couple times today.Should I ask her if she is preggy or wait for her to come to me.Kinda scared don,t want her to think I don,t care.Lord I hope not being shes in school and all.Advice from some of you that have been through this.

) certainly a daughter. I think you should approach her in a very supportive and non-confrontational way. Like you said, she has to know you've seen it, and you weren't snooping, so there's no reason for you to feel bad for having found it there. She may not want to bring it up, for lots of reasons. It could turn out that she's gotten it for a friend or a false alarm or whatever, but if she's PG she's gonna need you to go above and beyond to show her support.

Above all, stay calm (I know, easier said than done, right) and trust that it'll all be ok

I agree with the previous poster. Very supportive and non confrontational.

IF...and I hope it is...the test is negative, this is a perfect opportunity to talk about birth control and all the options available to a girl.

I have 3 daughters, ages 17, 22, and 25. They would always assure me that they knew "all about birth control", but when I discussed different things about it, they admitted that they didn't know enough.

BTW, does everyone know that you can be on the pill, take antibiotics, and get pregnant? I have a 3 year old great nephew to prove it. The antibiotic makes the contraceptive ineffective. My niece never knew that.

I would talk to her about it. As has already been said, it's not like you were snooping, she told you to go look in her purse. I think it's perfectly understandable that you'd wonder about it.
