I have a personal question, and would like some imput if everyone else has issues with it. I just changed BC pills, I went on yasmin, have any of you experienced weight gain with this one?? That is my worst fear, well, other than getting pregnant LOL, is trying to work so hard to lose weight, just to gain weight because of being on the pill.

Hi there sweetie, sorry I can't help with information on the BC pills,

some of them cause water retention.

I do know what causes pregnancy though

so be careful...

Casey,

I took Yasmin for over a year and was able to lose weight while taking it. The hormones in it made me feel great. I had to go off of it because my b/p was high.

Yasmin made me moody as can be (normally I'm always happy) and made me gain weight. As soon as I got off of it, the moodiness went away and the weight dropped off. Yasmin, as I've discovered from talking to friends, is one of those pills that you either love or hate. I was in the hate category. I have my tubes tied now, but I have multiple friends who's switched to Yaz and they really like it.

I love Yasmin - it's the first pill that I've taken w/o side effects! And I have been able to lose weight while taking it. There's something in the white pills that help w/water retention, etc as I recall.

I understand your concern, but I never had a problem with BC when I was on it BUT EVERYONE has different reactions to any medication so just go with it and if it doesn't work you know there are a million others to try. Good luck.
