Can't find a cervix?

Your kidding me? I've had 2 babies in the last 2 years and never heard that they couldn't find my cervix... Went for my yearly and the doctor couldn't find my cervix.. He could find it with his hand but not when he did the pap... Has anyone ever had this happen.. They are going to try again in November... I am a big girl but gosh not that big where it would disapper.. I mean its got to be there...lol

hmmm. I had never heard this. Perhaps he could have done a better job of explaining to you (ie you have a tilt or just a high opening).

Saying he can't "find" it sounds very odd!

If you were in the ovulatory portion of your cycle it is common for the cervix to be very high. Maybe that is what the problem was.

I never heard of this before? i mean they dont just fall out? Where is it? I would asked a ton of questions. Although at the time you were probably so freaked that you couldnt think of any.

I just went in for a pap last month and my doctor said the same thing, she said after a while that it might be setting on back, she got the smear so i ssume she found it finally but it took a while... not exactly something you want to take a long time LOL

She also mentioned my uterus seemed enlarged? maybe that has something to do with it? I dont think you cervix or internal organs would change becuase of your weight either....
