COULD BEING ON LOW CARB SHOW WRONG PREGNANCY RESULTS

I am rather confused. I have been trying to concieve and its only been my first month but I am 3 days overdue. I know 3 days may not sound long but I suffer from DVT (blood clots) and am on regular anticogolant medication which I take orally. During pregnancy I am suppose to transfer to Heprin which is again a blood thinning medication but through injections as the oral medication can be very very harmful to the feotus.

Normally I am irregular and my period can vary from 21 days to 28 days, however I am past my 28 days which is very rare. I have taken a pregnancy test but that was negative. I am told to wait another week as results are more accurate then.

At the same time I fell off the wagon during the weekend and since then I am feeling sick, nausea dizzy and all other symptoms to go with it.

I now am wondering my sickness and late period, is this due to the fact that I fell off the wagon and these are the effect or is it the fact that I may be pregnant???

I am really concern and worried due to my condition.

Could it be that being on ketosis can have an effect on the pregnancy result???

No ketosis can't have an effect on pregnancy test....it will either detect the human growth hormone in you urine or not. The sick, nausea dizzy feeling could be from either your slip or morning sickness.

I agree, LC would not give you a false neg. However, that doesn't mean that you couldn't be PG and just too early to read on a pee test. If you are concerned, call your doc and go in for a blood test. It's probably the only way you'll know for sure at this point.

GL! (and sending baby dust at ye )

I have to disagree, I got several faint positive pregnancy tests when I was in deep ketosis. I have no idea why.

thanx all

I guess I will wait a couple more days, and if needed go a blood test to confirm it.

Like I mentioned before its rather confusing whether these symtons are for the slip or
PR. I know these symtoms are rather common is the so called induction flu and also ketosis can effect TOM, making it irregular.

I am also aware the pregnancy tests are not always 100% accurate!!!

guess will have to just wait and see.
