TOM

I know I read on here where you guys were talking about your TOM and how lc affected that. I am a few days late and not really concerned with pregnancy. Has LC ever made you late or possible skip a period?

I have heard an explanation for this, but don't know for sure if it is true or not, so maybe someone with more knowledge can weigh in. Anyway, the theory I have heard is that excess hormones, like from birth control pills or something, are stored in your body fat, safely tucked away until you begin burning up those fat stores, like you would be doing on this WOE. As the fat is burned, "old" hormones and things are released back into the system. For some people, can take a few months to get things all sorted out and settled down.
Like I said, it's a theory. If true, it seems from your start dates like you might all be in that initial phase. However, LOTS of other things could be happening, so keep an eye on things and see a dr. if you need to.

Mine is wacky too.

I have skipped months and now I get it about every 3 weeks instead of 4.

However, I must add that I usually lose weight during TOM.

Are any of you on birth control? I guess I should continue to take my pills as normal, but am I still protected even though things seems to be screwed up??

I'm also on b/c and started a week early. It's been light, but very dark. I think I'll be heavier next week. This happened to me once before when I ate low carb. Hopefully it is that we are losing body fat! I hate tom.
