7 weeks today!! Some slight nausea set in last night - not too bad. Still exhausted but that's to be expected. Counting the days till my next u/s on 5/16! If we still see the h/b then, I will breathe a little easier!

carissa_konrad... alot of the pg boards have long threads on placenta issues. many times it worked itself out. As for Daddy Day... no clue yet.


randtbrown... any other news yet? I tested + VERY quickly my last two. 11 hours? My 4 year old still does not sleep through the night... There are no other threads for the moms on here that I know of. There is room for one though! The pics you posted were GREAT!


averyjenn Whoo hoo on the HB! My best sticky thoughts your way hun!!!! As for LC and MS... I have seen no connection so far. It seems random to me. I know some people swear by it and most do not think it matters.


Hazelsmrf Sounds like you need a hug or two! Next time jokingly remind everyone you are almost 30 and not a kid anymore. If they still don't get it then maybe someone is a acting a bit passive agressive in trying to seat you at the kiddie table. If you are truly bothered by it you don't have to take it!

I was wondering if it would be alright to join the Pregnant rank??? I found out two days ago I am pregnant. We are excited and surprised. I am crossing my fingers for a healthy pregnancy. But I feel very confident w/ this pregnancy. No spotting or anything.

I am due January 10-13 2007. So if you would add me to list that would be great.

I cant believe I am pregnant again...wow....this is a great feeling.

Luna- no news yet but I do have the same early symptoms as I did with Kyle. Tired, thirsty and sore boobs- even this early. BUT I do fully realize it could be all in my head. Wouldn't be the first time I convinced my body I was pregnant! I'm a little afraid my next little one won't be so good! Kyle has been sleeping through the night since 8 weeks. Have you read "The Happiest Baby on the Block"? I followed his steps and he was out all night from that very day forward!

Avery- are you counting 7 weeks from the conception or 7 weeks from your last period? It always messed me up! When I found out i was pregnant the first time I was almost 4 weeks pregnant by their terms, but 2 weeks post conception- so screwey! I'm so excieted for you! You are going to see that precious heartbeat!

Morning ladies! I missed last weeks thread somehow....

There hasn't been much to report. This pregnancy is so easy this time. Knock on wood.
The girls pregnancies were complicated and stressful and scary...(pre-eclampsia w/ both)... this time.. I feel wonderful. No migraines either. I'm not complaining at all!! It is just so different. I wonder if it has to do w/ the sex or if I'm just lucky this time!! lol

I have to do the glucose test next week and then my next appt. is May 15. Time is flying by!!

I'll be 26 weeks on Sat. I decided it was time for me to start accomplishing things around here! I've been such a slacker on getting the nursery and things ready. Mostly b/c I am busy w/ the girls and DJ and I haven't had a lot of time to just sit and think about this baby coming.

A friend of mine had two boys (who were both born in July) so she gave me all of their clothes. I am set from birth to a year now. I cried when she brought the clothes to me. I couldn't believe what great condition they were in!! Many still w/ tags attached! It took 4 loads in the washer to get them all washed and dried plus I have another load of things I picked up and blankets that need to be washed. I bought 30 hangers and ran out and that was after folding all the one piece outfits and sleepers seperately!! This kid will not be naked.. that's for sure!!

I decided that for my shower, I'm going to let ppl know that we registered at Target, and then if they want to do something else, either get Walmart gift cards or diapers, as he doesn't need any clothes at all. Hopefully no one is offended by that.

I'm going to pick up the crib and bassinet from my mom's house tonight and see what shape its in. It's been in storage for 4 years. LOL That's what I get for spacing my kids out like I have!!

I guess that's all for now!!

Thank You Tarrah and Amber. I just saw in your siggy that your baby is due on Aug 12....that is when I found out I was pregnant w/ my daughter.


I am going to call the doctor and make an appointment and make sure everything is ok since we did miscarry 8 months ago. So....my DH says to wait but I just dont think I should wait because of the fact of me losing the last one. I figure the doctors would want to at least keep an eye on this pregnancy...but I could be wrong.

Sorry for rambling, I am just really excited....

Tiffany Congrats!!! And for your loss, I'm so sorry and I understand. I had 4 miscarriages myself. I can tell you that all they will do this early is take your bloodwork and check to see if your pg hormones are doubling every 48 hours. It can be a good indication if the pg will continue or not. They should also check your progesterone levels and if they are on the lower end, may want you to go on some supplementation. They would also give you earlier ultrasounds - with the first one about 6w to make sure that there is a gestational sac growing appropriately. I'll be praying for you that the one m/c was a one time thing.

Tarrah I hope those symptoms are the real thing! I know I was the victim of wanting it so bad and creating symptoms before. How many days are you past ovulation? And on my pg, I'm 7w LMP (last menstrual period) so yes technically 5 weeks since this baby was conceived but OBs don't go by that but your LMP.

Amber Oh that's so awesome about getting all those boy clothes! How wonderful! This little guy sounds set!

Thanks Jenn...I am going to get some prenatal vitamins today.I called my doctor and the office was closed so I am hoping they will call tomorrow so I can get in next Wednesday when my hubby is off. He wants to be there for everything...which I think is very sweet

My appetite is not real strong...I dont feel hungry hardly at all...I just feel very very tired.

I've been cranky and tired and I can't sit for too long, so I'm just reposting what I posted over on the gentle mommies thread....

Sat I started to get Braxton-Hicks contractions that were quite strong and then by Sunday, after a night of horrible upset stomach, cramps that felt like mild menstral cramps. By monday they were stronger and I got some wicked contractions all day and night Tuesday. Went to the doctor and I'm actually two centimeters dialated. And I'm 75% effaced. Not much, but if any of you remember what happened with Bethany, this is major progress. I also lost the, icky, muscous plug!!! So, all of this is good news. I'm stil getting contractions, about every 15 minutes or so. They don't have any particular order to them. Some are mild and some cause me to gasp for breath. A few have brought tears to my eyes. The doctor figures if it is going to happen, it'll be by this weekend!!! Because of the previous c-section, I won't be induced and I guess I have tons of anmiotic fluid again (26 cm according to yesterday's ultrasound), I don't think they want to risk rupturing my membranes. I go back to the hospital on Monday for reevalution if nothing has happened by this weekend.

So, I'm happy and excited. The doctors this time have been very respectfull of my wishes for VBAC and have been very relaxed with minimal intervention. They are all willing just to let me be, but still keep an eye on me.. so I'm really quite pleased. I am ALMOST ready to come to terms that if I do need another c-section, at least I did the best that I could and nobody has pressured me into anything.

So that is my story

Hi Girls!
I'd like to join this thread, I am pregnant and due September 26 with my second child. I'm trying to eat low carb because I have found that in my first trimester I had been eating too much sugary foods due to morning sickness & cravings. I am trying to not eat processed sugar anymore and cleaning up my daily diet.

But i'm glad I found this thread and congrats to all the other pregnant women and good luck for those who are TTC! For those who are TTC, I found www.twoweekwait.com very fun to go onto for support!

I'd love to join too, I just found out we are expecting yesterday! My 1st Drs. appointment is the 31st of this month. I calculated my due date on the computer and it says Jan.1st which means the week before Christmas for me, I'm always induced due to my blood pressure!

I my son Devin was born 11/29/05 so they will be 13 months apart! Yikes, I said I wanted them close in age and I guess I got my wish!

Well I was actually able to get my mile walk in yesterday and I was surprised because it was raining so bad. But it eased up enough for us to walk. Emily really loves to get out and walk.

I still havent got a phone call from my doctor yet...so if I dont hear anything by noon I will call back.

My name is Amanda and I posted awhile back on this thread.

(Congrats to all the new moms to be!!)

I have a question, and I apologize in advance for the threadjack!!!

DH and I are TTC and we are an "older" couple (I'm 39, he's 50).

We've been actively TTC for about 4-5 months.

Recently my GYN suggested I take his "boys" in for a semen analysis because of some health issues he has/had that may impact count/motility.

Anyway, long story long (lol!), I took them in to the lab this morning (he would not go in to give the sample himself) and got them there within a half an hour. But here/s the doosey: I did a really STUPID thing! I put the cup with the specimen in it on top of my lunch pail while I was driving. (I was so out of it; I was diving across town at 6am) and when I got to the lab I realized the cup had gotten cold!! I feel like such an idiot. I told the lab assistant that it seemed cold but I couldn't figure out how it had gotten that way. (Then when I got back into the car, I realized the lunch pail was where I had rested the cup.) She said don't worry about it, but she didn't know it was basically on top of a cold pak for 30 minutes!

So here's my question. (thanks for reading by the way!) -- Would this cold temperature exposure for thirty minutes drastically effect sperm count/motility? I can't find anything on the internet about this. And nobody told me I had to keep the sample in my bra or coat pocket or whatever...

I hope someone can help with this answer. Thank you so much. I am beating my head against the wall, b/c I just spent 160.00 on this lab!

I just wanted to pop in and say thanks for adding me to the TTC list. I'm in the waiting stage for this month...TOM was due to arrive yesterday, but hasn't...which is good. I'm waiting a few days to test because I am a late ovulator...so I think it may take a few days to get an accurate test result. With my son I didn't get a positive result until 1 1/2 or 2 weeks late...I think due to the late ovulation.

Congrats to all the newly pregnant ladies...seems it is a good time to get pregnant around here!!

Amber - Where in Ohio are you at? I'm North of Columbus...out in the country.
