Laproscopic Surgery ... Bloating from the gasses... How long?

I had a tubal ligation via laproscopic surgery last Wednesday... And I'm wondering if anyone can share their experiences as to how long after surgery did the swelling and bloating from the gas in your stomach cavity take to go away???

I've lost 30+ pounds and I'm now the same size I was 30+ pounds ago!!! This is very frustrating and depressing to go from a size 12 one day back to a size 16 the next... after all the hard work of losing it the previous two months!!!!

i think only a day or two if i remember...the pain from the gas was worse than the operation itself especially in the shoulders(the gas will move up).

Mine lasted a while. I don't remember how long but I do remember being very frustrated with my bloated, more than usually blubbery tummy. A few weeks maybe... Is it better now?

Mine was done years ago. But I think it was a about a week for it to go away. It takes awhile for the body to absorb the gas.

it takes a few days to a couple of weeks. all i can suggest is walk walk walk. that helps the gas reabsorb

Thanks yall. I think the last of it has worked itself out of my system. The bloat went down in about two weeks, but I had gas pains in my shoulders and back for nearly a month. Finally this past weekend they moved their way up and must have finally absorbed or something... DH is calling me an "airhead" ... Thanks for posting! All is good!!!
