Morning!! TOM still here but on his way out the door. Hoping to drop the 5 lbs he left on my doorstep! Next Wed-Thurs I should O so until then, I'm just chillin'!
On baby dancing - dh's schedule is a problem for us and we really have to "schedule" bd when it's during the week. I try for just prior to O - then 36 hours later and 24 after that. |

Mornin, ladies!
QOTD: Since we're not actively TTC, we end up pretty much every day or every other most of the time. I imagine when we get to the actively trying, we'll have to make sure it's every other, cause of DH's issues. (maybe that's another reason I'm not ready to commit to trying Well, I've started charting and am at least in the habit. Do any of you guru's of charting have any advice to offer me, given my terrible sleep patterns? The only time I have more than a couple hours of sleep in a row I'm usually waking up between 3 and 4. I go back to sleep, but generally not for more than an hour at a time. Should I temp when I wake up around 4 or should I temp when I wake up again 'tween 5 and 6? So confused (TIA for your help) I'm in a holding pattern this week. A 28 day cycle has me starting Monday, but last cycle was just 24 days, so my goal is to make it to Friday or so, at least, so it's a little longer. (wish me luck )Have a great day, ladies!

Morning ladies! Hope everyone had a good weekend!
QOTW: We try to follow the Sperm Meets Egg Plan (SMEP). Starting on CD8 BD every other day until you get a positive OPK (start OPKs on CD10), then BD for 3 days straight, skip a day, and BD once more for good measure. After that, we do what we want. Unfortunately, we haven't been doing much of anything this cycle because we're both sick. Hopefully we'll both be better in time for O.Babydust to everyone!! |

Wow, y'all are having tons of s*ex!
Dh works 60 hours a week and commutes 10 and works nights. It's amazing we ever get a chance to bd at all! Thank God I work from home so I can take a "break" when he gets home on those days but man I tell ya, when your man sleeps 5-6 hours a day, it ain't easy! Poor guy...Kat - I think if you consistently wake up early and take your temps when you wake for the day, your temp is your temp - it may be more elevated but if it's consistent, who cares? At 4:00 a.m., it will be really low and warms up as the day goes on... Hope TOM stays away until Fri! Krystal - hope you and dh feel better soon! Roxanne - baby dust your way girl!!

Hello ladies, mind if I join?
I am currently limiting my carbs while nursing my 4 month old son. This is the start of my fourth week and I'm down 13 pounds! We would like to conceive asap but I'm still waiting for AF. How soon did AF return for those of you that breastfed? I also have two older children ages 16 & 12. Good luck to all that are ttc! |

Shrinking! I'll be no help on the BF/cycle question cause we're just working on #1, but GL to ya so here's my rant of the day (sorry if you've read this on another thread) - as if I need more stress someone has stolen my debit card # and run up a ton of charges over the weekend. I don't understand why people do things like this, but I'm trying to not get too stressed out, so I'm trying not to dwell (ya right, have we met, I'm a dweller ) Anyway, just needed to vent, thanks for listening ![]() |

Hi Ladies!
Jenn, that's quite a schedule your DH has! It IS a good thing that you work from home! Amy Congrats on losing those 13 pounds! Kat, so sorry you have to go through that. That has happened to me before, but the card was cancelled before any charges were made (they stole the number from an online database). It was still annoying though. I hope you're able to resolve the situation very soon.Okay, my question for today is: How can you tell if you're a POAS addict? My answer: I just had my HCG trigger shot last week and I already want to POAS in hopes that I will FOR ONCE get to see a positive test result. I know that it would be from the HCG that I injected, and not from a pregnancy, but still...

Hey Amy! I think everyone here is ttc their 1st. Congrats on your baby!! I can't believe you want to ttc so soon! You're brave girl...
Oh Kat that stinks. I'm so sorry to hear. What a PITA that must be! Rox - hey can I call you that? I think it's such a cute nickname. I am also addicted to hpt - it's a sickness. I swore to myself that I would not do that this time but that one lone hpt was calling my name!!! On other cycles, I would POAS from 10dpo on! I found out on 11dpo a few times - weird being 3.5w pg! I'm going to try to wait until at least 12dpo though. I gotta order from that place I told you about. Their hpts are so accurate and CHEAP!! Like $.40 each is nuts! Okay buying some now - for 20 tests, it was $8.99 - $10.98 with shipping! By the time I need them, I'll have them! |

Amy - I think I can safely speak for everyone when I say, you are more than welcome to stay here. Clearly your baby dust is effective
![]() Thanks for the support guys. It is a PITA, but it doesn't look like I'll have any long-term probs from it, so now I'm just gonna focus on nailin the guy Waiting for the witch to show, here. Today is day 24, so if I can make it till tomorrow, my cycle will at least not have gotten any shorter. Do ya'll think it's possible that my cycle's been like this cause it's adjusting to a friend of mine? I remember this phenom. from college (altho never dealt with it myself, cause I was always on the pill ) Anywho, my best friend and I work together, commute together, and hang out at least several hours most days. She starts tomorrow, so it would make sense that I could've been adjusting to her... (I'm grasping at straws aren't I )Roxanne - it's all good. I'm not entirely convinced that they ever DO show a pos. result I'm now at the other end of the spectrum, and terrified of POAS. ...Crazy much Enjoy hump day, ladies ![]() |

Hello I have 4 children and keep saying I am done but Have that desire here and there. I say if it happens it happens if it don't it don't. We did it 2 days leading up to and during(THAT IS PAINFUL!) And then the day after. It seemed like the month I didn't try with my last child it happened.

Here is something that I found!
Timing sexual intercourse The most important factor when trying to conceive is to have sexual intercourse during the woman's fertile phase - that is, the five days leading up to ovulation and the day of ovulation itself. New life begins when an egg (ovum) from a woman is fertilised by sperm from a man. Ovulation occurs around 14 days before the start of the menstrual period, when an egg is released from one of the ovaries. Conception occurs when the egg is met by a sperm in the fallopian tube. Having sex in the days prior to ovulation (when the woman is aware of a slippery sensation at the vulva) and on the day of ovulation (usually the last day of the slippery sensation) increases the odds of pregnancy. Couples who have sexual intercourse around the middle or later stages of the woman's menstrual cycle may have already missed the egg, which has a short lifespan.

Hi ladies....can I pass on a tip I heard somewhere. I used it too. Try to have your O after your man has and by O I don't mean ovulation. lol, it helps to slurp up what's left there and help it along.

AveryJenn.... Starting Saturday, I'm beginning Clomid 50 (5-9).....I'm totally excited, since starting LC'ing, I also added Vitex (Chasteberry), probably in January sometime....
Last month (Feb) I spotted on day on the 21st, and to the date this month, I began full time TOM, MARCH 21st! So happy since I have PCOS! SO, I guess baby dancing will begin sometime on April 1st.... I just left the doctor's office today (on a cloud, full of hope)....good luck everyone! |

Good Morning everybody! I have a quick question.......what brand thermometer do you recommend? I have one, but it takes forever for the reading and there is no backlight. I am writing the information on a calendar, does anyone do the same thing?

Woot!
AF did NOT show yesterday so my cycle will be at least 24 days this month!!!! I NEVER thought I'd be so excited about something like this Anywho, she's definitely "en route" if you will, but maybe I'll even get a 25 day cycle out of this Megz - congrats on the OB visit/Clomid! Have fun gettin your BD on I kinda jacked your clomid thread, sorry if you get a chance I'd love to hear about that Vitex stuffthanks for the tips LA and Mom! Have a great day, ladies! ![]() ETA: Janet - I just started temping, but I found my thermo @ wal-mart, the brand is Omron. It doesn't have a backlight, but it stores your last temp, so I temp then just record it later when I'm online (I'm using FF for charting). HTH! Last edited by LuckyKitty : 03-23-2006 at 06:54 AM. |

Good Morning ladies!
shrinking - ![]() jenkat - sorry to hear about your debit card But, w00t! on the longer cycle!Roxanne - This is how I know I'm a POAS addict: When I take an HPT, I also take an OPK, just because I know the OPK will get a second line, even if it doesn't mean what I want it to. It just makes me feel better to see a second line on somethingaveryjenn - I buy HPTs and OPKs from saveontests too, that way I don't feel quite as wasteful when the POAS addict in me takes over momof4 and Laprettygurl - Thanks for your input. It always helps to hear from women who have been there, done that megz - Congrats on TOM!! I will keep my fingers crossed that the clomid does the trick this cycle! janetaz - I bought a Vicks BBT. It is not backlit, but it does store the last temp, and it's also flexible, which I like b/c I do vaginal temping As for me. I had my pelvic sonogram yesterday. I have a mature follicle on my right ovary, so I should be O'ing anyday now. I also have a "larger than normal" cyst on my left ovary. The sonographer said that it looked clear and would most like clear up on its own after AF, but that since it's larger than normal they'll probably want to do some follow up. Other than that, she said my uterine size and endometrial thickness seemed good. Unfortunately, I just don't think that DH and I were meant to conceive this cycle. On top of both of us being sick as dogs, I bruised my crotch last night. We were having a plumbing problem last night, and I was standing on a chair to look at something on the ceiling, slipped and fell, and landed in an very uncomfortable position on the chair back. I'm walking a little funny today as a result. Thankfully, none of my all-male coworkers have asked why! ![]() Babydust to all!! Oh! QOTD: I would be a Milky Way. I don't really know why other than that I like Milky Ways, and I do like myself. ![]() |
