Found a lump this morning

And I'm freaking out!!!!

It's a pea sized hard lumb in my left breast!!

My body is all screwed up, last month I hemorrhaged to death for 7 days ... and this month ... well I'm now 2 months late, I'm 41 and think I'm starting menopause ... I cry at everything, cramp all the time ...

And now THIS .... my maternal grandmother had Breast Cancer and I'm wigging. I know there's nothing I can do until Monday morning, but until then please keep me in prayers, becaues this freaks me out.

I work on an oncology floor at a hospital and there's no way I want to go thru that crap.

We all think the worse always,
I would freak out too, but the earlier the better!!!!!
It could just be a cyst or a clump of fat, my friend the exact same thing, but please get it checked out, Over 40 you should be getting mammograms,
I will be thinking and praying for you.
Try not to worry, I am sure it is harder to do than say,
Keep us posted!!!
Debbie

Yes, I am 34 and I am always feeling my boobs, in the shower, before I go to bed,
I am always doing self-test, I know i know haha
But I always say I need to find it fast in case, I have no history on both sides, but it still scares me,
I am glad that you are doing your mammograms, Maybe this year when I turn 35, i can get one done, I am paranoid, I know..
I will be thinking of you, and praying for you.
I had this one conversation with my girlfriends, talking about breast cancer, My main concern is too live, I am a new mom, so I told her, well god forbid I get it, I tell the Doctors chop them right off and stick me with a 36C PERKY AND NEW....
Keep postive and dont think the worse.... Please try!!!!!

Debbie

Debbie,
If you have history on both sides you should be able to start getting the squish treatment now, my MD did a baseline at 30 for me because of my maternal grandmother.

Hey,

Get it checked out.
I am 34. I found two and nothing showed up on mamo(2 views) and ultrasound. The doctors could feel them. I went to a general surgeon who told me I would need a biopsy. I was going to ask for one anyway.

I had a surgical biopsy done last week and everything was OK. I get the offical results tomorrow.

It was all worth if for peace of mind. Remember that 80% of lumps are begnin. My maternal grandmother had BC years ago and everything has been OK.

I understand that stress, but with everything going on try not too worry...easier said than done..but try OK?

Michelle

That's exactly what I was going to post. But remember, those who don't have lumps need mammograms too-- I had no lumps, nothing on the outside at all but had a teeny tiny bit of cancer inside a milk duct. By having the m'gram it was caught and removed early with out nasty chemo or radiation.

Good luck with yours!!

Hey,

Just wanted to post

I got the official results from the surgeons office yesterday and everything is OK
I go in today to find out what it was and get the stiches out. (surgical biopsy with 13 stiches around the areola)
It was all worth it for peace of mind.

Just posting to let you know that things will turn out OK

Co.Sweetie- That is too scarey!!!
You work around oncology, see the "worst case" so you must be even more freaked out, But I will keep you in my prayers. Meanopause can do freaky stuff! hopefully it is just a side bennie of that, and will be nothing. I had a lumpectomy years ago, it was a milk gland that had calcified. Ick! but nothing else in years. Good Luck and KUP!!
