Howdy!
I'm a few days post ovulation and in the two-week-wait (2ww). Don't you just hate your life being chopped up into 2 week intervals? Getting TOM and waiting to ovulate and then the 2 weeks after ovulation wondering if those twinges were implantation cramps? What do I do to relax? I read mostly, that's the most relaxing thing I do and it helps me fall asleep (well unless the book is really good!). I read a book on Friday night - yes the whole thing - it was an easy read. ![]() |

Alright, Monday, here I come, and I'm taking no prisoners!
Cycle info: I'm CD8 and expecting O in the next few days As far as relaxation goes, I'm trying to use this cycle to get to know myself a little better, so when I start stressing about this or that being a sign of whatever, I'm journalling it for reference next cycle (maybe I won't drive myself so nuts that way ) Is BB tenderness an indicator that O is on the way? I'm so clueless I also read and needlepoint and just hang out with DH (he's my fave stress reducer )

Hello ladies, I'm on CD11 and I'll be starting Femara today.
To relax, I take naps, read, watch television, and my favorite thing to do is have "cuddle time" with DH. |

Hi, Im Krysta, Im back on the boards after about a year away. Ive been TTC basically since I got married (Nov 04), but with meds since Nov 05. I am on day 18 of my cycle, so I have a little less than 2 weeks on this cycle. Then I start Femara. I have had 4 failed rounds on Clomid. We'll see how Femara works. If it doesn't work on its own, we will be adding injectables on the next round
As for relaxing, I haven't relaxed in so long, I don't remember how to do it! ![]()

Hey Krysta!! Glad you came over to the thread!
Hoping that if this cycle isn't the one that Femara helps you. I'm on Metformin and I'm hoping that it's the magic pill that helps me the next pg - I'm a recurrent m/c. I just got a call from a friend announcing her pg - I'm actually okay with it - probably because I'm in the 2ww so there's hope that I could be too I suppose. I wish all my friends would call in the 2ww! ![]() |

Hi Ladies,
Krysta I'm currently taking Femara; this is my second day taking it. Jenn, I'm so glad that you're feeling better this week. Klick, how are you doing? I'm thinking about you and sending good thoughts your way. ![]() I'm on CD12 and waiting to ovulate. I'm trying not to become obsessive about all of this stuff. I would feel so much better just to know that I'm to the point that I can O! Have a great day everyone! |

Jenn~I am on Met, also. I've been on 2000mg since late October. I don't know about you, but it took me a good 2-3 months to finally not be sick on it! However, I still can't eat salad, which is a problem since restarting LC. Last time around, it was a staple for me....this time, I can't even think about it!
![]() Roxanne~You will have to let me know how things go for you on Femara, since you are starting it 2 weeks before me. I'll cross my fingers for you! |

Morning ladies!
How is everyone today? My question for today : were any of you on BC for a long time before TTC? I was on it about 10 years and am wondering if some of my cramping, etc is from my ovaries "waking up" as my doc put it. Did any of you all experience this right after going off BC and did it last for many months? This mid-cycle pain is the pits, altho it's definitely less this month than the last couple. Any info is appreciated! |

Ok, my cycle has me totally confused
Not one month since I've been off BC has been the same as any other. They are roughly the same length, 24-26 days, but in terms of type and degree and timing of cramping and such, they're nothing alike. Is that normal? I'm starting to get a little worried. ![]() |

Kat, I can't answer your question because I've never been on BC for a really long period of time. I'm fairly new to actively ttc so my cycles are a source of confusion for me also. I hope that others can answer your questions and help relieve your worries somewhat.

Hey Jen - your cycles are really short and I would think that would be a problem in TTC. You must have at least a 11 or 12 (think it's 12 though) day luteal phase (the time after ovulation until you get TOM). Wait here's an article on luteal phase defect. I have this myself and it's only a low risk to fertility.
http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/lu...se-defect.html I was on BC for years but I've been off it for many years now. I don't remember TOM being that messed up for me after going off of it. As far as pain, yes every month can vary so differently for me. I wouldn't worry about that at all. The big thing is making your cycles last longer - now your OB may say that it's normal after being on BC for so long, honestly I don't know, but I do know that short cycles are not good - as are really long cycles.

Thanks for the support and info, ladies. Jenn, I looked at a few other things on that site, too, and it looks like I'm maybe ok as long as my cycle doesn't go below 21 days or so. I think I'm gonna see how this cycle goes and then maybe start temping next cycle just to be sure I'm Oing and get a better feel for my actual LP.
Who knew having a baby would require this much brain power ![]() |

Not to be a downer, but my cycles are 27-29 days in length but I still have LPD due to when I ovulate and the days until I get TOM. This is why they say having a baby is a miracle - so much science goes into it!

Not quite 3 weeks, but only a few days more. I'm running between 24 and 28 days. It's possible this is a fluke cycle, so I wouldn't get too worried. Seems like everything can throw off our cycles Have you been regular before this? |

Krysta - could just be a fluke cycle, don't know!
Okay - mini rant - reports say Britney could be pg again - anyone else bothered and disturbed by this? Why she'd want to have ANOTHER baby with her sponge of a husband, I have no idea. It's when people like that get pg so easily and here some of us are, TTC for way too long that grates on my nerves. Okay, rant over... |

Jenn - I hear ya! I can't believe it, myself. One day, kick him out, the next get PG again
I wish the best for all of them, but dang does it make me a little jealous. BTW, glad to see I'm not the only one who gets wrapped up in that stuff ![]() |

Hi! I was the official lurker from the old ttc thread, hope I can do the same here. My DH and I are feeling pressure all around since I am 35 to have our first. I was hoping to get to a better weight before conceiving, but I don't think I should be waiting around anymore. Thanks for having this thread available and have a good weekend! |

Just because I was so nervous, and upset, I put this off long enough....March 22, I go to a RE and discuss meds. I'm going to make a push for the Metformin....I'm not going to say that wha-la, I'll be pregnant, because there are factors that are out of my hands, science, and higher powers....but I'm here ladies, PCOS and all, and I'm going to be a mom someday....better than my own mother...and I can't wait!
I "Spotted" last month, and I mean spot....it was a day, but it's been since July 2005 that I've had TOM, and for me, that spotting, was a big accomplishment, with this WOL (low carbing).... I thank you all for sharing with me, all this important information, because without you all and your wonderful resources, I wouldn't have known to ask about Metformin...Thank you so much!!! If I could reach out and hug you all, I would! |

Hey ladies....I understand this....I AM a paramedic, and some YOUNG female was in our ambulance, with a cheif complaint of abdominal pain...her words to me "I think I'm having a miscarriage, but that's alright, because it's number 9 for me, and I was having IT aborted on Monday..." I can't tell you how upsetting this is for me... |
