How to deal with PMS?
EVERY time, EVERY fricking time, I get bad cravings, huge appetite, and lose control and blow my calorie limits.
I can do so much better without TOM. I feel great right after, and I wish I felt like that all the time. Is it a good idea to go on M/E a few days before so that appetite is suppressed? Or, should I just lock myself in a dog crate when hungry and have my DH bring me the foods I am supposed to eat, no more? ( he probably doesn't mind locking me up during PMS)WHat's your strategy? I am sick of being a victim. I want to be ready to fight back. |

Mac,
You know I've been there just a few days ago...HOW WELL I RELATE AND EMPATHIZE with you! I'm up for the dog crate idea.....padlocked room with a view, perhaps? This past TOM was the worst I've had in several months, appetite, huge weight gain, moodiness, all of the above. My family looked at me like I was from Mars....! I too have wondered about doing something like M/E to get into the deepest possible state of ketosis right before, but I really didn't like being on M/E very well at all.....but I can't have it both ways.... A TOM like this month or M/E for a few days before? I may have to try M/E next month.... ![]()

I always try to have lots of healthy snacks around for my hubbie and I during this time, olives, really fine cheeses, veggies, nuts, cauliflower with curry dip. I try and keep this out when he comes home from work so that I am not tempted by anything. To kill the sweetooth I always do sugar free hot cocoa with a big dollop of frozen whipped cream in it, It works everytime! Now I am on to the strawberry frozen whipped cream in the hot chocolate and it is like really rich and tastes like a choc covered strawberry. I always drop 2-3 pounds the day after I start!! Yeah!

Wow..I can really empathize here..pms week is he!! for me and everyone around me..try to keep a lot of the healthy, legal stuff around for when the cravings attack. For me, a spoonful of natural peanut butter with a little splenda sprinkled on it works wonders
I've tried to do the m/e thing, but it's just not for me, I felt really dizzy and nauseated , even to the point I felt like I was going to pass out a few times ![]()
