Sorta Offtopic: Retin A and Vitamin C for skin
HAPPY NEW YEAR
I am starting to get more sagging and wrinkling. I've read the skincare threads here - but need to ask the following: Can you only get Retin A by prescription? (my doctor's office not easy to deal with) - if not, where can I get it? (please don't list links, just name of the company, thanks) Which Vitamin C product is considered stable for use on the skin? Thanks so much, Rosie |

SkinCeuticals Ferulic is an excellent Vitamin C serum! As for Retin-A, you can get it without a prescription from Mexican/Caribbean websites where a prescription is not required. With insurance, I pay the same amount for my prescription Retin-A Micro, and am able to obtain it immediately. (Dermatologists will typically write Retin-A prescriptions for "acne" so insurance will cover a great deal of it.) Plus, the percentage of the tretinoin in the Retin-A Micro is .1% - considerably stronger than the .05% available on the Internet "black market."
Hope these pointers help! Good luck. ![]() |
