Hi. Here are the 2 US pics I got yesterday. One is profile of baby...the other, is the baby's arm and hand.....it's like he was waving at us! No due date yet, dr. had to look at baby's measurements and determine, though the tech says I looked between 11 and 12 weeks, right where I thought I was. This is baby #2 for me.

It's been a while since I posted, thanks for keeping me up on the list .
No news from me yet . I started Clomid last month, 50mg days 5-9 and we're hoping that will work. Since nothing happend last month my dr is sending me to a fertility clinic. I have my appt on February 1st. Hopefully they'll be able to tell me what we should do next, I hope they just suggest uping the Clomid dose because our insurance doesn't cover infertility stuff .

I started back on LC on Monday and this weekend we're signing up for the gym so hopefully once I start losing weight things will happen. I have PCOS so that's my main problem in getting pg.

Drs office called. They are saying I'm 13.5 weeks (will be 14 on Sat) w/ a due date of July 15.(from the ultrasound measurements) That would put the first day of my LMP as Oct. 8, which I know isn't correct. I had a period Sept 22-27 and if I would have started that early in Oct, I would have freaked. My periods are never off by more than a day or two....not 2.5 to 3 weeks. So, I'll mention it to the dr on my next visit and see what he says. I wish I'd have paid better attention to when I got my period in Oct!

Hi Everyone. I'm back from my trip and went to the dentist for a filling. Why are you not supposed to get dental work done while you're pregnant anyway?

DH is DYING to start trying. He wants a baby 100 times more than I do so he's anxious to get the show on the road.

Shancopp- you should try to go by "lunar" months rather than weeks or regular months. It makes much more sense that way. Using regular months can be kind of decieving.

Aediekins...please explain lunar months to me. As for dental work, I was told you could get it done but you could not be "put under" for any type of work. But novacaine shots were allowed, as was antibiotics and tylenol #3s. (this is what my last dr told me while pregnant w/ my first baby). And that a dental xray was ok (preferrably NOT in the first trimester unless absolutley necessary), but you had to have the lead apron over you.

I'm freaking out! I've been starving and already gain 5 lbs in the first 6 weeks. Everything I read says you should gain 3-5 pounds in the first trimester. I'm going to be huge!!!!!!!!!!! Can anyone offer advice or ideas for me. I am eating LC with fruits but still putting on the weight. Would my body be storing up extra water for any reason?

carissa, just eat healthy according to your hunger and you shouldn't have to worry about it too much. I've gained 8 lbs. and I'm 14 weeks along, eating some fruits and whole grains along with my usual lc meals. I figure once I have the baby and start nursing, I should be able to lose fairly quickly. I started Atkins when I was nursing my last baby, and the weight flew off. It makes me want to have the baby now,lol!

I was wondering about godsbeloved, too, where are you sweetie??

ljh150 - you have no idea how much that helps! I know that nursing will help the wieght to fall off, but still.......never having had a baby before and this being a TOTAL SHOCK it just feels like.... Hi all! I know this isn't going to be important to everyone, but in case anyone here IS interested I think this is important to know.

This is taken from the Winter 2006 - Number 76 issue of Midwifery Today:

"The federal Emergency Treatment and Advanced Labor Act (EMTALA) requires hopsitals to admit women in active labor and to abide by their treatment wishes until the baby and placenta are delivered." The act was originally passed to prevent hospitals from "dumping" patients who can't pay, but its since been applied in all sorts of other ways and includes specific provisions that apply to laboring women.

The attorneys we've consulted on the VBAC ban issue have told us that hosptials are much more afraid of being found in violation of EMTALA than they are of malpractice suits because the act is routinely enforced and each violation subjects them to fines between $50,000 and $100,000.

I can't emphasize enough the importance to individuals who may find themselves in this situation of memorizing phrases such as "It's a violation of my rights under EMTALA to force me to undergo a cesarean," or "I'm invoking my right under EMTALA to refuse a, b, c." Whether the hospital in question says it bans VBACs is unimportant; according to EMTALA, you have the right to be admitted to a hospital once you're in active labor and, once admitted, you have the right to
refuse any recommended treatment. You can also remind them that VBAC isn't a tratement, it's the natural culmination of a normal physiological process. Cesareans are the treatment.

Also, it's helpful to know that EMTALA begins to apply once you are anywhere within 250 feet of a hosptial; you don't have to be in the emergency room. You can be standing in the hospital parking lot, and if they so much as touch you against your express consent, they are in violation of EMTALA. I found out I was pregnant over the summer of 2005....and we lost the baby on Sept 2 2005. Well, since then I have been trying desperately to get over the loss and to try and get back into some sort of weight mangement program....and for me the low carb is really hard right now.

My husband and I decided to start trying again and I have been working out and trying to get my eating back on track. I am not going to lie...I only have a couple of pounds to lose before I am pre pregnancy weight again...however, these last couple of pounds seems to hang on for dear life.

I am hoping that me trying to low carb will help w/ us ttc number 2. I just wanted to hear from you girls about your way of eating and if low carb helped any of you conceive? I miss being here and wanted to know if it was alright to come back and chat?

I did low carb w/ my first and then just got tired of it. LOL I have too much of a sweet tooth and I didnt want to eat sugar alcohols while pregnant. Lord knows I didnt need any help w/ the gas...rofl

I am excited about trying again and hope it happens really soon....

Hi ladies! I had my 23 week appointment yesterday. The doctor explained the results of ultrasound #2 to me and said that everything looks really good and is as it should be.

I hope everyone is doing okay. I had my biopsy yesterday. It was the most excruciating thing I've ever been through. They found two abnormal growths. They biopsied both and we'll get them back some time in the next two weeks. I'm still bleeding quite a bit and I feel like some one smashed my pubic bine with a hammer......needless to say the tylenol isnt cutting it. The doctor said by the looks of it and the earlier pap results its high grade precancerous cells. She said they'll most likely have to do something about it right after the baby is born. Either remove part of my cervix or the whole thing. Either way theyre not getting me to do that again LOL.

Tomorrow is my DD's B-day and were not relay having a party. She took cupcakes to school and is having a friend spend the night. We'll open presants from the family tomorrow night and have cake. I'm taking her and her friend to build a bear tomorrow (its her favorite thing to do), I'm hoping that im up for it because hubby will not enjoy being drug around the mall by 2 6 year old girls.

Orphaie-Oush! You poor thing! {HUGS} to you. Your DD bday sounds perfect! What more could one wnat, really? She celebrated at school with all her friends, she gets her best friend over night AND build a bear? AND a family party? Sounds great to me. I hope you feel better, it sounds like it was just awful!
