I think I will leave pg moms up until 44 weeks and then take them off if there has been no word from anyone. I know a bunch of the ladies are not on here anymore. If I take you off but you come back... just let me know and I will add you right back up there! It's nice to know that people had their babies!

No nothing yet. Thanks, I could use all the baby dust out there.

I've hit the point where I'm like, AH HELL WHO CARES! And I keep telling myself, Watch you'll get it exactly a week late like other times.

But secretly I am hoping, I guess I'm just trying to not get my hopes up high so they aren't shot down.

AF wife, fingers are crossed for you! Hang in there!

CJ's GREAT birth story, brought tears to my eyes. The best part is when/if you have any more babies, you worry that how could you possible feel this way a second, third etc time and you do. It is as magical and wondrful adn awe-inspiring. [but I forbid dh from straying from my head and holding my hand during labor-yikes!] COol that your mom was there too!

I am fine, 20 weeks down and so halfway there. I am uncomfy though and this being my third, I remember OB telling me LAST time with DS2 that each preg gets a little more uncomfy in terms of ligaments stretching and joints relaxing. Seems true for me. The stress of this potential move doesnt help matters I am sure. After the holidays, we have a bday party for DS1 and then 2 weeks and we are outta here. As sad as it makes me to leave this area, I will be SO relieved when we are moved and it isnt hanging over us anymore...

Gods Beloved-bummer about the MD! Keep us posted in January though, 'kay?

Hi to everyone, have a good week, no major stressin!

Ok well now my breast hurt and itch. I wish this was something I could get excited about but I'm not. When I was younger, painful, itchy breast indicated pregnancy, now that I'm older, it indicates Aunt Flo is on it's way. I'm hoping though that because I'm late it's an indication of pregnancy.

I'll have to keep waiting and see.

OH BOTHER!

Hi Ladies,

Would like to offer up a topic for discussion and I hope no one will take offense for flame me.

I have 2 sons, one 5 and one 3. when I was pregnant with my second baby, around 5 months I just KNEW it was a boy and I mourned in a way, I cried a bit for a day [this was only based on my intuition] and thought about hpow I would never buy the little girl clothes etc. And then it was over. I love my boys and wouldnt trade them for anything! I am so grateful my second was a boy, as my eldest is so shy and easily intimidated and I think having a BOY to play with has been good for him, so now I am pregnant with #3 and I have gotten ANNOYED with in laws etc saying things like "I want a girl" and "you'll finally give me a granddaughter' blah blah blah. I am/was convinced it was a boy and am/was happy honestly, as long as this baby is healthy.

BUT...[you knew it was coming didntja?] the other day I was craving some pizza SAUCE and I remmebered this one friend of mine who had a girl and the whole time she was pregnant she craved spaghettios, so I thought, HUH, maybe it could be a girl....

For the first time, DH and I are going to try to learn what we are having this time around and this will be our last child and so I am kind of nervous. Ironically and selfishly perhaps I feel like I will both rejoice and mourn no matter WHAT this baby is. If I never have a girl I will mourn it a bit but also be thrilled to have another boy and if its a girl that would be exciting and new but I will mourn not having another boy and using this outfit or that outfit blah blha blah

so am I just incredibly difficult or whAT? Honestly, I really, especially at my age [36] just want thi sbaby to be HEALTHY and free of any serious issues, but in the fun of thining about who it might be I have al these feelings...

Why would anyone flame you for wanting a girl. I have 2 boys and want a girl sooo bad. But if I get another boy, doesn't mean I'll love him anyless. My children are just that, my children, regardless of the sex, even if they change it later. LOL

In laws can be a pest I must admit, mine are asking for a girl too. I tell them, you take what comes like I do or don't send presents for birthdays and holidays. lol

Cheers!

Oh, nothing yet over here. Still waiting!

Yeah I hear ya Lil Miss. So many woman would care less what they have as long as they can have ONE baby. But it's natural to want and there's nothing wrong with it. I hope you get that little girl. I want a girl too. And this one will be our last too by the way.

Hugs!

I'm really sick and tired of hearing, "Oh, maybe you'll have a little girl this time!" too. Most people, including relatives, assume we're only having a third child to try for a girl. I feel 99% sure I'm carrying another boy, and I couldn't be happier! I want whatever child that God chooses to bless our family with, regardless of the gender!

Janette! Me too! I am almost defensive when I hear that crap! ---But as I was saying there is this small part of me that goes 'ahhhhhhh a little girl would be cute' -usually when I see them all dressed up at church--- ANYWAY, I have also heard, from TO os my sisters [and I find this MOST offensive] that one "needs" a girl to take care of you in your old age. Excuse me? My male offspring wont care for me? News to me....

Funny, I was 99% sure this was a boy for us too and then JUST started having doubts. I was SO sure the 2nd time and was right! BUT I started to think maybe I just thought it was a boy becasue I couldnt imagine anything different. <shrug> my instinct is probably right, it probably is a boy and I am happy with that too!

PS when I did tell my parents I was preg they both expressed it would be a boy and I shouldnt "get my hopes up" This annoys me so much. We are having a third CHILD beacuse we want a third CHILD we are not trying to only have one gender over another...

Okay, another question up for debate... how important is it to YOU [and this is a totally personal decision] to use a family name? Either as a first name or a middle name? Curious as we try to come up with third boys names..

The family name isn't important to me. I was named Lillian after my Mom. Weird huh, usually it's boys named after there Dad's. Well in my family it works both ways, you will get names by your Mom if your a girl, first born and Dad if your a boy, first born.

I don't play that game. LOL I mean what if you don't like the name? Ain't gonna use it that's for sure.

Middle name, maybe but I gotta really like it and so far, I haven't used any and if I have a girl, the middle name I have picked out is Michelle, after my Best Friend.

It's Tuesday now, and still nothing for me. I'm waiting patiently! Tomorrow makes a week since I was suppose to get it. I've had it exactly a week late before so, I'm gonna give it a few more days.

AF-oo thtas exciting though, a whole week! Maybe we will know something real soon and we're hoping you're knocked up!

My first son was given a name we just liked but his middle name is a family name and my second son has my grandfathers first name and then my mothers maiden name. Now that I am thinking of third boys' names I feel like I have used to male family names that I like up! It isnot HUGELY important to me but I think it is nice to do if you like the name, its kind of neat, so I was just curious what others were thinking or doing.

My parents had 6 girls, and I was the last so they were plum out of family girl names and so my grandmother LIED and told them my first name was a family name bc she liked it [Kathryn] they didnt find out til years later that she had made up this distant relative! haha

Well, I went in for my diagnostic ultrasound and found out that I am having a girl. I must admit that I was shocked to death about this one. I really thought that I was having a boy. With my daughter, I wasn't sick at all. With my son, I was sick, but not for very long. With this little lady I was sick all of the time up until about 13 weeks. Based upon the way I felt with my son, I thought for sure I was having another boy. Must be having a tomboy I guess.. ha ha ha!!! They always say that every pregnancy is different. Guess they are right. My baby radar is always off anyway. When I think that I am having a boy, I have a girl and when I think that I am having a girl, I have a boy. Go figure.

My daughter (who is 4.5) is happy though. Now she has both a brother AND a sister love and fight with. She has told me that the baby can only live in her room for "just a little while". She is very possessive of HER room. We eventually will need four bedrooms I guess. My son could care less. He is a three year old boy and really only cares about whether his sister stole...I mean borrowed... his Thomas trains or not. According to the ultrasound the baby is now 11 ounces and I am at 19 weeks and four days.

Anyway, now the name search can begin in earnest. Let's see if my husband and I can agree on a name this time around.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Hey guys! Christmas is SOOOOO close! My family is going to be flying in tomorrow for our first Christmas at OUR house makes me feel like a grown up

My first ultrasound is on thursday. My husband has a very rediculous name for the vaginal ultrasound and he keeps saying thursday is the day for it

Lil Miss and the rest of the ladies, I total understand where you're comming from on wanting a girl or boy. We were blessed with a DD and then a DS so which was exactly what we wanted, a girl first and then a boy. This baby is just that, a 3rd baby which we wanted. My husabnd is a goon and says he wants a boy just so they can out number us My daughter wants a sister..............but we'll see.

My father in law told my husband that he didn't realy feel like a man untill he had a son or some crap like that. My husband told him he'd feell like a man and a dad even if his house was full of girls. In laws can be pains believe me.

I had a friend with 4, yes 4 boys. They tried one last time for a girl (they had planned on having 4 children only). At 6 months the doctor told them they were having another boy. She cried, and then realized how lucky she was to have a band of boys, who would always be close and friends. Well the day came to have the baby and guess what, that doctor was wrong. She and her husband cried and screamed hystericly. They were so happy, but so loud the nurses thought they were realy upset about having a girl and they had to explain the situation to everyone LOL. I guess realy realy you never know what youre having untill they get here.

Grocery shopping is an awful awful thing for me and I just got back from some massive shopping. I can be total fine when I go in and by the time I leave I'm green from looking at all the food.

AF~ Pass on the tests, thats my vote and always works for me. The minute I take the test is the day I get my period. I just wait it out and think everyday that maybe it will come and it never does I dont know why this is but its the same way for my Best friend. It will happen when it happens, try not to stress over it.

Hope everyone is having some good holidays.

I also wanted to chime in about the family names. I'm named after my great grandmother. My mothers father died very suddenly when she was only 13, he was born on April 10th. His mother was the only greatgrandparent I had living. If I had been born on April 15th, my fathers fathers birthday I would have been named after his mother, Delia. I realy love my name, it used to be very uncommen, which I liked. My grandmother had a very special fondness for me, being born on her sons birthday and sharing her name. I was the only grandchild who wasn't scared of her (she was hospitalized and had alot of machines and such for 1/2 the time I knew her) and some of my fondest memories are of her reading to me in her hospital bed and me combing her hair. She died when I was only 6 but she one of my avorite relatives to this day.

Although my cousin was adopted and kept the name his birthmother had originaly gave him and my husband isnt his blood relative we are all happy about them sharing a name. It definately helps him feel more like a family member. We used to tell him when he was very young that he had eyes like his grandmother, hair like his aunt and a name like his cousin. It was very cute.

I think giving a child a family name can help them have a special bond with that person especialy if that person is great person or rolemodel it can help the child feel special. We like picking out the rarer family names.

Now it's Wednesday, 140pm and still nothing.

I have been so good God and have thought of others before myself and have given when I had nothing left to give, I ask to be blessed with a 3rd child, please. I've always wanted 2 boys and a girl, the girl being the youngest of the 3 and so far so good, if I could just have the girl then we will be complete. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

***Anyone ever pray like this too? I mean, do you feel like, hey it's my turn? Is it selfish?***
