I think I will leave pg moms up until 44 weeks and then take them off if there has been no word from anyone. I know a bunch of the ladies are not on here anymore. If I take you off but you come back... just let me know and I will add you right back up there! It's nice to know that people had their babies!

Labor vibes going out big time to CJ!!!!!!

We have a bunch of mommies about to go into the third trimester!

I think last weeks thread ( Pregnant or Trying thread for December 5th - 12th ) may have been one of our busiest yet! That was NICE!

I am finally not throwing up everyday, so I am starting to eat better. I am going to see if I can drop almost all if not all grain products before I give birth. Still working on getting in enough protein each day. And my vitamins have been really good.

Orphalie........ OMG that has to be one of the worst things I have heard!

kbeth........... the exhaustion could just be part of pg, but it could be something else. I have that too but I had an autoimmune disease before I got pg, so it's hard to know which is which. Have you talked with your doc about it?

saltire.... take it easy lady! You are not in a race!

Are you waiting until after you have the baby to not go back to work.... or now?

Hi ladies! Good monday morning! I hope everyone is well!!

I've got a question. Not sure there are firm answers, but I certainly welcome your opinions/experiences.

I am ssoooo tired. Like completely useless, paralyzed tired. I know that exhaustion is normal, but I'm at 17/18 weeks and thought I would be feeling better. It's to the point of depression, because I am falling behind on everything. I mean, just typing is an effort.
I am eating well..upping my iron-rich foods just in case it's a bit of pregnancy induced anemia. (btw, made the pumpkin sausage soup from the recipe room. OMG. SSOOOO good)
Are there any tricks to this? (other than more rest. My work hours stink but I'm doing my best.) Can I take a vitamin B in addition to my prenatal? Can I occasionally take an extra prenatal to get through this slump?
Don't know what answers I'm looking for...just ANYTHING that may have worked for you. It's been several weeks of feeling like I need to just quit my job and stay in bed for the next few months. (If only... )

Luna--my next dr appt is still 3 weeks away. I may call them if this doesn't let up. It's just hard to know what's normal....

kbeth~ I would talk to your doctor is you are feeling that exhausted it is probably because your iron is low and you might need to take a iron pill... I felt this way with my son Ethan and it was because my iron was extremely low! I wouldnt suggest taking an extra prenatal vitamin because you can get sick from it and as far as the vitamin B I would just call your OB or ask the nurse if it would be okay...

Luna... Glad the MS has eased up! I just started feeling better myself the only problem with that is that my husband is starting to look like a walking rump roast..lmao

Kbeth are you craving anything that would let you know you're deficiant in any vitamins? Are you sleeping well? Are you working out at all? Depression can also come in many forms and some times seem completely physical like exhaustion. Definately call you doctor. Some times when I would put on alot of weight in 2 weeks ( when the baby was going through a major growth spurt) I would feel wiped out.

What is everyone taking for constipation thats over the counter? I was also wondering if I could add in some magnesium vitamins. Since I am a bit naucious I cant seem to choke down the medimucil I bought last week, it makes me gag. I'm definately going to ask the doc on teh 22nd.

Orphalie... not sure as I had the opposite problem.

More fiber, flax, mag/calcium, more water, etc is pretty standard. Maybe some malitol will clear the "sinuses"?

To all who are TTC, my fingers are crossed for you. I had been unsucessful for the last four, almost 5 years. I am over 35, O.K., over 40 too!
I conceived naturally, maybe it was the weight loss!

I am 4 weeks today, so I havent had any major changes yet. Except for the fact that I can't stop smiling

, as I'm 26 years old and me and hubby are trying at this moment. We understand that God is truly in C O N T R O L and I trust that he knows what is best for us. If it is a girl her name will be "Sky" as she will be a gift from heaven!

I'm going to my first OB appointment for this tomorrow!

I spent like 4 hours wraping ( then unwraping and rewraping the ones hubby helped with) presents last night. Those were just the kids. I'm done shopping for me parents also but their gifts are all in bags. My grandmother is also comming up for Christmas and I want to get her something nice. But what do you get for a filthy rich 92 y/o woman who has everything she wants? She called my mother and said she wanted a painted wooden box that she saw in this store. With in 10 minutes she called back and said nevermind that she was going to get it herself. That was the only thing she said she wanted for christmas LOL. Crazy old lady. My mother says if she starts acting like her I have her permission to "put her down"

The answer depends on one thing. Is the rich "kind" that is snobby and looks down on everyone's gifts and there is no pleasing her?

Or is she sweet and just well off?

#1 you can't win on.

#2 your best bet would be to do something sentimental. Family scrapbook, family picture quilt, find an old photo of her and get it restored, find an old memory of hers and somehow make it come to life, etc...

I got my first ob appt scheduled.....Jan 4 (9am...tooooo earlyl for me!)

So tired and bloated today, but of course I prolly have eaten a dozen homeade choc chip cookies today too!

Got a nap today, that was nice. Had a very real dream that I was onstage with Prince, singing Purple Rain and then went over to a table and told Jennifer Aniston all about it! lol! (musta been all those cookies I ate! lol!)

My girlfriend made 18lbs, YES....18lbs of fudge today!! I wish she lived closer!! wah! I want some fudge!!

Will they do a heartbeat on the first visit? I'll be 11 weeks. You can hear it by then right? Wonder if they'll do an ultrasound? Prolly not, I've got cheapo ins. I have concerns about some meds I took before I knew I was preggo (pain pills, sleeping pills) and want to make sure everything is ok.

Hope everyone is doing good today! Cold here and freezing rain! ick!

Diana-CONGRATS! Poor thing, that is a long time to be TTC, it took me about 2 yrs my first preg and I know how frustrating it can be! SO happy you are preg now!

Shancopp-LOLed at your dream! They didnt do heartbeat for me til 14 weeks. But maybe they thought I was too chubby?

Kbeth-WAKE UP! Seriously girl, ask your OB for anemia test or something. BUT I will say I did NOT get that 2nd trimester lift til just recently, do you have other children? My friend said its probably bc I am preg AND chasing a 5 and a 3 yr old...

But what do you get for a filthy rich 92 y/o woman who has everything she wants? She called my mother and said she wanted a painted wooden box that she saw in this store. With in 10 minutes she called back and said nevermind that she was going to get it herself. That was the only thing she said she wanted for christmas LOL. Crazy old lady. My mother says if she starts acting like her I have her permission to "put her down"

Poor thing, that is a long time to be TTC, it took me about 2 yrs my first preg and I know how frustrating it can be! SO happy you are preg now! Shancopp-LOLed at your dream! They didnt do heartbeat for me til 14 weeks. But maybe they thought I was too chubby? Kbeth-WAKE UP! Seriously girl, ask your OB for anemia test or something. BUT I will say I did NOT get that 2nd trimester lift til just recently, do you have other children? My friend said its probably bc I am preg AND chasing a 5 and a 3 yr old... Must run, DH MADE DINNER!
