I think I will leave pg moms up until 44 weeks and then take them off if there has been no word from anyone. I know a bunch of the ladies are not on here anymore. If I take you off but you come back... just let me know and I will add you right back up there! It's nice to know that people had their babies!

Shancopp-Hey I am 36! I don not consider myself an "older Mom" at all!

Janette-I cannot explain it but I used to drink 14 cups of water a day and now can barely shoke down any. It isnt the nausea with me, that has lifted..

Had horrific experience with Obs office, they gave me the WRONG lab results for my quad screen and they were bad! I was sobbing for HOURS until they got back to me with the "error" So angry I couldnt see straight but thankful that everything is looking good. It is a long story and I will spare you but in a nutshell my MD knew the test was wrong and had sent it back to lab for correct results and some other person in the office picked up the phone to tell me the "bad news" left hand didnt know what the right hand was doing...

Appt Thurs and hoping my weight gain has slowed down I have been much more careful this month..

HI Luna!

Thaks for setting us up each week!

Shancopp- I think they generally recommend you have another c section once you have had one, but some people really want to experience a vaginal birth so they ask for it and all the planets have to be aligned in order for it to be safe [so to speak] at least this was my friends experience. So if you want a c-section I think you can "easily" have one, but someone may come along and correct me

lil miss.... what a HORRIBLE thing to have happen! At least it was WRONG!!!!!! And I saw you on here and I am not ignoring you... just trying to get everything moved over here!

godsbeloved79.... good luck at your appointment!!!!!!

Shancopp.... you can choose a Vbac if your csection did not show any problems. Though many doc's do NOT like doing thatm because there is a chance your uterus can basically split open and you can bleed to death and possibly lose your baby (worse case). If you have no physical problems inside you should be able to choose it.

I can not have one and I would not choose to have one, but I have my own personal reasons. My first born was badly (and permanently) injured by the docs during a vaginal delivery that should have never been allowed to continue. And during my 2nd's Csection they discovered some issues with my uterus and placenta.

I say if you want to go for it.... go for it!!!! It is YOUR body and YOUR choice!!!!

Oh Luna, I didnt think you were ignoring me! Just I feel like I get on here so infrequently I wanted people to know I responded to some of the questions!

I am BEYOND pooped. 3 yr old has been waking every night and sleeping in our room, we have decided we must nip this int he bud before we move adn new baby comes [poor little 3 yr old must be stressful for him!] so I was up A LOT last night, walking him back to bed and comforting him etc.

I think I am going to abandon grocery shopping for now nad put my feet up for a moment of peace....

Thanks guys for the quick replies. I didn't have any medical complications during my previous csect. (only thing was I had to have 2 spinals to be numbed enough). Basically, I'm scared to go through labor. I can't imagine! That's the main reason I'd like another csection. But, now, hearing those other reasons (splitting open, bleeding out, losing baby), those scare the chit outta me too!

lil have you thought about putting a toddler bed in your room so you can get some more rest? They all go through that stage and I finally got to the point where rest of any type is more important!

Oh Shan.. I SOOOOOOOOOOOO misread your post! I thought you were asking if you could have a VBAC!!!!!!!!!! OOPS! Yes pretty much every doc will assume you want one unless you ask to try for a vbac.

Another C is a piece of cake, and yes there are real risks to having a vbac, but they do not happen often so it is still safe for most to try for that too!

I need to clean out my eyes....

Luna - thanks for adding me to the list! Still kind of reeling over DH being ok with moving it up a month, but now I can't wait to get started

Does anyone have any resources that are MUST-READS for preconception?
or any advice that you swear by for TTC? (sorry I'm all questions and no answers for those that have posted other questions - all I got are and - but I give those out freely )

Thanks Luna, didnt see your post! I DID do that and now I cant get him out off my room! I figured I would get more sleep then when he was in my bed [and I did!] but he is SUCH a light sleeper and I want him to be confident enough to sleep in his own room before baby arrives and is crying and I am nursing every 2 hours or whatever and baby is waking 3 yr old up! Also, I am expecting him to regress a bit when we move int he end of January so I thought some success NOW might help him. I dunno, it always feels liek these decisions are so big, doesnt it? You want to coddle them and make them feel safe but you also want them to be confident and know they can do it!

Jencat- start taking your vitamins now is my only advice

lil- congrats, and i feel you pain, we have a 2 y/o were going through the same hting with but when he gets up hes very quiet and goes out of his way to get in trouble not come to our bed. Baby gates dont work because he just hops right over them so we dont know what to do.

shancopp- I would definately ask for a c-section if I had a previous one. My best friend had to have one her first time, her baby was breach but wanted to have a vaginal birth this time. Shes a tine girland has huge babies and I knew she'd wind up having a horrible episiodemy or wind up having an emergency c-section anyway. The way I look at it is if you already have the scaring in one area why make in another She thought an episiodeny was cake but after I told her how awful mine was (and it was horrid) ahe decided she'd go for the c-section which her doctor wanter her to have anyway. She said her second was lot less painful and she recovered alot faster.

I have my first appointment friday, during my 8th week, which is also my husbands birthday. He's taking the day off and were going to spend it all together. A friend is watching the kids and were going to drive into boise (the big city around here HA) and do some christmas shopping and go out to dinner at his favorite place. He asked if we got to have a sonogram at this appointment and when I told him i doubted it he was upset, I told him the baby would just be a peanut with not any real shape anyway but he was still upset. The strange thing is this is our third baby but he seems more excited then the first 2. I think this is the first baby were truely ready for, although our last was planned also (our first a big suprise ).

My 2 y/o who I always respond to as "baby" is aprently tired of it. He walked into the kitchen this morning when he woke up and said "Hi mommy", I "Hi baby" and he abruptly said "No, I Byron"............which hes been saying all day if I accidently call him baby. It was cute, I guess he is growing up. my husband says hes sorry for making our poor guy the middle kid..........I hope he doesn't feel that way growing up. Being an only child myself I realy wanted to make sure my kids had siblings.

Ayway, super long post, my mind is going a mile aminute right now. Have a great day everyone, I hope you all feel great.

Hey orphalie!

I feel the same way abou tmy 3 yr old, now he will be a "middle child", but was just reading in that book "going from one to two" about having a third that the middle child has such a unique experience, gets to be the big deal older sibling to one sibling nad gets to be the little follower and learn things fromt he bigger brother.

Cute about your DH, I bet now that he has 2 kids he is just more comfortable and conifdent about having a newborn so he is able to be more excited! With our move coming up etc I dont think it has even hit my DH yet! To behonest, its JUST hitting me and I am just now getting REALLY excited.

Have had 3 dreams that baby is a boy. This happened to em last preg, aroudn this time and I was right, do you guys think you know based on dreams or otherwise?

Thanks for the tips, ladies, I did try adding a little lemon juice. It seems to help some.

Shancopp, actually some hospitals are not even allowing vbacs anymore due to lawsuits, so I'm sure you won't have a problem getting another section. I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum, I've had two sections and desperately want a vbac this time. I never had a contraction either, but we want a lot of children and I don't want to have a lot of c-sections! The risk is around 1 percent chance that the uterus will rupture, possibly causing death to the baby and/or a mandatory hysterectomy. So, it's a lot to think and pray about.

Actually, God changed our hearts last summer about having children. We were not planning on having anymore after our two boys, especially after I had my tummy tuck/breast reconstruction, but God had other plans! I know it sounds crazy to most, as it once did to us, but we've been convicted of using birth control. We've decided to accept every child God gives us as a blessing, and trust Him for provisions.

Holy moly Janette, you are braver than I thats for sure. This is our third and baring some sort of miricle (which we would gladly except if god granted us) it will be our last. My husband would like 4 children but with the amount of miscarriges and difficulty of our pregnancies I dont want to go through it again. Plus with 3 I dont know how on earth were going to afford to put them through college as it is. So either during the last trimester hubby is going to get fixed or I will after the birth. The idea of not having to take BC ever again is very appealing to me.

Even a 1% chance at rupture during a vbac, with a dead baby and possible hysterectomy just seem like too much of a risk. I cant imagine not only my baby dying but the thought of never being able to have another all happening at the time. Although C-sections aren't the most comfortable thing in the world it definately has its advantages. A friend explained to me that she didn't feel like she had fully experienced her first pg because she had had c-section. After 3 days of only mild labor waiting for her regular doctor to return for her scheduled c-section she changed her mind. It just seems like an awful risks for no real reward. The end result is always the same, c-section or not, you get a cute warm snuggly baby to take home and theyre alot less likely to be mistaked for a conehead or have an ice big bruised face like my son from not turning his head the right direction

Orphelia, I definitely understand you not wanting to go through another pregnancy, with how much you've had to deal with.

With my PCOS, we may not even end up having many more biologically either, I guess we'll wait and see! We're also very interested in adopting a sibling group from Liberia, and will probably start paperwork on that as soon as we move to GA.

DH is very leery about that 1% risk, so I will most likely have a section, unless I just go into labor at the right time and I go fast. It's been 3 yrs. since my last section, and I was obese at the time. We'll see, I don't know.

Janette if you don't mind sharing later on I think ALOT of ladies would like to know how your pg looks since you have had the tuck, and what it looks like afterwards!

Would you get another one if needed?

I also just want to wish good luck to everyone!

lil.... with my other pregnancies I ONLY dreamt I was having boys, even before I knew they were. I never ONCE dreamt they would be a girl.

This pg I have not dreamt either way and it's driving me nuts!
