I think I will leave pg moms up until 44 weeks and then take them off if there has been no word from anyone. I know a bunch of the ladies are not on here anymore. If I take you off but you come back... just let me know and I will add you right back up there! It's nice to know that people had their babies!

psst, I'm a lurker....Jai's baby was born November 16th, not October 16th. You have it listed in the right month, but typed 10/16/05. Has any one heard from Tiffany lately? I can't think of her user name...I think it was Sierra or something like that (sorry). TIA

Hey guys im hoping someone is still up. It snowing realy badly, and my head is about to explode. I'm sick and have no clue what I can take but I definately need to take something. I have several things I have to do tomorrow, absolutely no choice, and I need to get some sleep. Does anyone know what medications are ok to take during your first trimester for sinus pain and congestion? The only thing I ever took with either of my other 2 pregnancies was tylenol and fenagrin, luckily I never got sick with them.

HI Ladies

I'm on my second day on Clomid today, hopefully that will do the trick and help me ovulate. I'm soooo hoping for a BFP around Christmas time .

GOOD LUCK to those still trying .

Kaillean had her baby...it's a boy named James Ian (Jamie) on Sunday, November 27th!

Here is what she wrote:

Hi girls!

Well, Herm decided he had cooked long enough! He arrived last night at 9:37 pm.

I had some a little bit of bloody show - nothing I'd really call the mucous plug around 9:30 am and went back to bed for a bit. DH and I got up around 10:45 and were getting ready to go out for breakfast when my water broke. I had one gush of what I'd guess was about 3/4 cup of fluid. But no contractions or anything at that point.

I called the doctor and he said I might as well stay home for a while to see if contractions would start naturally, otherwise they'd induce me within 24 hours or so.

DH and I decided to go to brunch anyway - we were starved! Had a couple other small gushes of fluid and called for the check halfway through brunch just in case. Contractions started while we were eating, but I didn't think too much about it as they were quite mild. But then I realized they were coming about 4-5 minutes apart.

So I called the doc again on the way home, but he said to wait until the contractions were about 45 -60 minutes long before coming in. By this point, they were only 20-30 seconds long.

My house was a pig sty and I hadn't packed a hospital bag or anything, so DH and I ran around frantically for the next hour and half or so packing stuff up and what not. I made DH clean the bathroom at least. He was freaking out more than me!

By about 2ish, the contractions weren't getting any longer, but they were stronger and I decided we'd better go to the hospital anyway.

They admitted me and I waited about 45 minutes in the triage area while they assessed me. The doc said later that the nurse told him she expected I'd be going home because the contractions were still quite short, and they slowed down to 4-5 again when I was lying down and relaxed.

But I knew different. They were getting stronger and more painful. But the doc came and checked me (my doc was on call) and I was already 5 cm, so he hurried the nurses up so I could get into the birthing room.

We got settled upstairs around 4/4:30 and I was getting pretty out of it. I felt kind of weird - like I just wanted to retreat into myself. They were quite strong and I had a few times wondering if I could do it without the drugs. I thought I'd want to walk around and stuff, but I really didn't. I just wanted to lay down on my side mostly. At one point, I did ask the nurse to go over the pain relief options again because I wasn't sure I could do it. She suggested we try the ball for a bit, mainly because the baby was facing sideways and she thought that might hurry things along, but it didn't do much and was uncomfortable. I wasn't too interested in the shower or anything either -- it just seemed to hard to move around. I wasn't getting much break between the contractions. I agreed to use the gas and that did take the edge of the contractions a little bit. It makes you feel a bit dizzy, but I didn't get nauseous like some people do. So I sucked on that like crazy through subsequent contractions.

The doc came again around 6 pm and said I was at 8 cm and he thought I'd probably be ready to push around 7:30. But the baby was a bit stubborn (i.e. big head like his dad!) and wasn't advancing down into my pelvis, so it took a little longer. He wasn't turning face down how they wanted and couldn't quite make it past the rim of my cervix. I did finally feel ready to push around 8/8:15, but they weren't all that effective at first. The contractions were strong, but still quite short. (The doctor said later they were the most efficient short contractions he's ever seen).

I think it was around 8:45 or 9 that they got out the squat bar which attaches to the bed, and I hung on to that for a bit. I couldn't do it too long because I was really tired, but it was enough to do the trick and the baby moved a little farther down, so that my lying down pushing started to work. He finally came at 9:37 -- the ring of fire is a real thing!!

But I did it naturally!! So I'm really happy. And I didn't tear at all - the doc was good about stretching things out while I pushed.

So all in all it was a pretty good labour. Only had painful contractions for about 8 hours. They do get progressively worse of course, and I wondered a few times if I would be able to do it without drugs. I would have to say though that the time went -- not fast -- but I it didn't really seem like that long. You're just kind of out of it, trying to remember to breathe through the contractions. DH put pressure on my back which helped and the nurses were really good.

The birthing room was really nice -- private bathroom and a pull out bed for DH and it was good not having to move at all. The baby latched on well last night a couple of times and had a good dose of colustrum. Today he is more interested in sleeping, but everyone is telling me that's normal. We'll keep at it.

I had a crappy sleep in the hospital so we came home around noon today and I am going to go for a nap while I can.

I'll be back tomorrow and will post some pics then. We haven't quite settled on a name yet. He surprised us by being early!

He was 8 lbs, 8 oz (just as well he was early then!) and 20.5" long. He's doing great!

Congrats to Kaillean!

I'm still about a week and a half early, had no real progress other than the baby dropped a couple of weeks ago. But today I've had some strong pelvic pain when standing (feels like muscle cramps in my joints) and I'm starting to get some menstrual-like cramping, so I'm wondering if things are starting to move. I go to the doctor this afternoon, so we'll see what she says. DH gets back from hunting tonight, so that should be ok. My SD has her 11th b-day on Saturday and we're throwing her a party, and then next Tuesday we're supposed to be in court for custody of SD and SS. We were hoping that baby Sam would wait until after court, but we'll have to wait and see what happens.

I guess I ought to get my bag packed when I get home tonight. I've had a diaper bag packed for a while though. Had to make sure I had a couple of cute outfits ready for him!

Orphalie... you have a PM

Maja... good luck hun, my fingers are crossed for you!

Kaillean......... WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THANKS Amy for letting everyone know!!!!!!

cjthedog64...... good luck on all your court stuff and I hope everything goes smoothly!

godsbeloved79.... I would think it would be up to the doctor. My best suggestion is to see a Reproductive Endocronologist (sp?). And I would assume they would start running alot of tests!

CONGRATULATIONS Kaillean !!!

godsbeloved79, I have PCOS so my dr. put me on Metformin for that before we started trying. He told me to try with that for a few months and then see what happens. We briefly discussed Clomid during that first appt, but he said we can talk more about it if the Met. doesn't work. Since my cycles haven't gotten better since March, he put me on Clomid when I went to my last appt. He didn't do any tests because we know I have PCOS but he did have my DH get a SA just to rule out any problems on his end.
GOOD LUCK with your TTC efforts . Are you temping or using OPKs??

Maja thanks for your reply. I've used OPKs in the past. We are just taking it one day at a time, but I was curious to what happens at the first Dr. visit in this area.

Hey guys, hows everyone?

We tried for 2 years before we got pregante with our son. I went to the doctor several times and each time I was just dismissed. Pretty much like every other problem I've ever had. We've also had 3 misscarriges total and no doctor has ever considered I may have a problem or done any tests. Did I mention I hate military doctors? I'm having problems getting appointments now, I couldnt even get the doctor to tell me which cold medicines I could take this last week.

I'm a little stressed out over the whole situation, especialy considering my history. I just want things to go well. I'm trying to relax alot and make things easier on myself ( we've ordered out dinner 3 times this week) and that definately helps.

Is there ayone else whose not finding out the sex of the their baby before the birth? Thats what my husband wants to do.....he says it will make for a bigger suprise and also because we dont care either way what the baby turns out to be as long as its healthy since we already have 1 of each

Congrats to Kaillean on baby boy, I hope everything is going well

We also want a healthy baby and the sex is not a major concern. When I get preggo, it will be our first! I would like to know, so I can decorate the room, buy clothing, and etc. Best wishes to you.

I definately had to know with our first 2. Both of us realy water a girl for our first and hubby said he absolutely knew it was a girl from day 1 but I had to find out. Then for # 2 we realy wanted a boy, so we found out, even though yet again hubby said from day 1 he knew it was a boy. This time he says he refuses to guess what it is I am kind of leaning tword wanting a girl because our daughter is rather adimant about wanting a sister. When we had talks about having another baby, all year, she would always say "can you please make sure its a girl" or "i asked god for a girl and he said ok" even though we explained we couldnt ensure anything she seems pretty certain.
My husand jokes he wants a boy just so we'll be out numbered

I pray that your daughter get the healthy sister she wants. Keep us informed!
