Luna , you are a list genius!!!
LOL thank you for keeping track of it all and noting when someone mentions their EDD.... Well I am in a very good mood as my hubby is coming home tonight I can finally brealk the news!!!!!!!!!! Aprt from some very mild spotting on the weekend (which I wasn't to worried about thanks to the discussion on last weeks thread I can't wait to see hubby, I am meeting him in the airport with a little gift...inside will be a pair of baby booties and my positive pregnancy test with a note GUESS WHAT!!! he he then I can tell my MUM thank god!!!! I have so many questions to ask her (after 5 kids she nows most of the tricks!) Hope everyone has a great nausea free week I only have it very midly, although I went to dinner with my brother and his wife and nearly puked when the food arrived at the table, I had to have a few gulps of water and stuff some salad in and hope for the best...thank god that helped, as they are unaware of the pregnancy they might have thought it a bit odd if I ran to the bathroom to puke!!

Lol I look like a loser, constantly posting, but i posted in the morning and it is now afternoon for me, all you gals are snoozing
Well i started to have a little red blood and some very mild cramping. After obsessing over this for a few hours and then telling myself I am ok...I thought bugger this!!!!!!! so I rang my specialist who said I should test beta HCG and progesterone so I trotted down to the doctor and asked for these tests to be done to reassure myself I shall now proceed to obsess quietly until I get my results back ![]() |

Luna-Thank god you're okay, what happened? Why were you in the ER? You poor thing! Maybe you responded to allt hese Q's on last weeks thread, I will have to check... Ok, so had fabulous US last week [Tues} and as of Wed night I have not had one iota of nausea...do I count myself blessed? No I OBSESS. So I am going to call the MD today adn we shall see if they say it is normal to have it let up this early [8 weeks down] or if they draw blood. Either way I hope to feel reassured. Hope everyone has a fab day. Cant wait to hear how Hubby takes the news Kasia! I told 2 sisters over the weekend. That was kind of fun..Have yet to tell my parents or DH's parents... |

Kasia, let us know your husband's reaction. I bet it will be priceless!!
After not having any nausea for a couple of days, I had it all day long yesterday and am starting out today the same way. It isn't major nausea, just minor, irritating nausea that only goes away if I eat. I am trying not to think about the nausea with the hope that it will go away. My husband wants to go visit his parents this weekend. I am not looking forward to this trip which is three hours by car. There are not a lot of places to stop along the way that have bathrooms, so I am a little concerned since I always gotta go now. Also I can't imagine sitting in a car for three hours with this nausea - ugh! I also cannot imagine being at my in-law's house and feeling sick there. When we go by his parents, it seems that he always runs off on me for a couple of hours so that he can do some chore or another that his parents haven't gotten around to doing yet. That leaves me with two little kids to entertain (my in-laws have no toys for the kids to play with, so if they are to have any, we have to bring a ton of ours) all the while feeling sick and not being in my own surroundings. If I don't feel well when he wants to leave, I may just tell him to take the kids and go by himself. My in-laws, as usual, are not all that excited about another grandchild coming. They weren't even excited about their first grandchild coming. I remember that I had to force my father in law into a picture with our daughter. I am just glad that they are three hours away and not next door. Thanks for listening to my complaints. I am just not in the mood to make a long trip like that this week. Have a great day everyone!!! |

IGH Cenicineta, that trip does NOT sound like fun. I finally put my foot down when my DH wanted to take the kids to his aunts house which is like a museum. A doll museum. She has DOLLS everywhere within little ones reaches but they arent allowed to touch.. I say whether or not you are feeling bad or not, take the day to yourself! Will he let you? I never do that but we deserve it, it is hard work chasing two little ones all day adn it is downright heroic when you are as fatigued and ill as one is with pregnancy.
Called MD they said not to worry about nausea disappearing at 8 weeks. So...hooray! But I will still feel 10,000 times better when I reach the 12-13 week mark. Maybe then I will relax... Told 2 more sisters still havent told my parents or DH's parents. |

Hey ladies!
cenicienta.... I honestly would tell my hubby to have fun on "his" trip! I have ZERO qualms about NOT bending over backwards for people who could care less! He should care more about how you feel. Kasia I hope everything is ok! Let us know what the doc and hubby said! I went into the ER because I was in severe pain and they wanted to make sure it was not something else wrong. Turns out it is still just my disease. They gave me Vicodin, but I don't like using it so I still have most of it left. Let's just say after all the needles, scans, catheters, etc... and the fact they would NOT let me eat at all... I walked out of there feeling worse than when I went in! Ladies.... NEVER joke around about getting a catheter ahead of time... Murphy's Law will give you the worst one you have ever had in your life! ![]() |

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles Luna, hope you are feeling better
LOl lilmiss we can be obsessive together! Ciencienta I'm with the others, don't go! I am starting to learn my lesson about my in laws, my sister in law is very cunning, super nice one minute, complete B&*tch the next!!! I am trying to learn to keep my distance Hubby is home, he was very happy with his pressie of the booties (at first he thought it was food )He had a tear in his eye and look at me and said "Really??PERFECT!!) only problem is now he wants to name it after his dad if its a boy I am gonna have to put my foot down on that one, his fathers name is sahabdeen.....i'm sorry but my baby will already carry his fathers last name,(quite a mouthful I assure you) he/she is a child of mixed heritage, and his/her name needs to reflect that, if it is a fully sri lankan name( first and last), and the dominant sri lankan gene will mean he/she will look sri lankan, is not awknowledging my part in the whole process at all. Previously we had agreed to Aidan Jack . What do you think?? Anyway get my test results back today, but bleeding stopped so I am sure it will be ok |

Kasia I am sure it is because of the recent death... it ppobably makes him feel better to think of doing that. But I agree that both parties need to be in agreement!

Hey Luna can you add me to the list as well??? My husband are trying very hard for the next couple of months for now. Before we tried for almost a year before giving it a break while I tried to loose some weight. Now we are trying hard seeing as how he is going to another country for awhile to assist his parents on a religious journey( they are older). Anyway he really wants to get me preg. before he goes. BTW Kasia I know what it is like to deal with In-Laws I think we can relate as far as culture goes.... I know sri lanka is not india but the culture is there with any desi people I should know I am half indian, yes I look just like my mom(white) ( Father is from rajisthan india) and my hubby's family is from hyderbad india. anyway InLaws can be freaks my SIL same way... I will never trust telling her anything ever again.

Thanks ladies for all of your support! My husband seemed a bit disappointed that I didn't want to go along with him to his parents, but understood why I am choosing not to. So it looks like I am going to have a nice, quiet, hopefully nausea free (yeah, right!) weekend. I must be honest and say that my nausea hasn't been as bad the last few days, a fact that I don't believe that I am going to clue my husband into since I really don't want to travel this weekend.
Kasia, like someone else said before, maybe you will have a girl and then you won't have to worry about that mouthful of a name. Although, I went to school with a guy whose mom I believe was from Thailand and his father from the United States. I know that his first name was a Thai name and his middle name was the English name. Even though his legal first name was some unpronunciable Thai name, he went by his middle name. In fact, I was surprised to learn that his first name wasn't really Brian. Could that be a possibility for you and your husband when naming your baby? You could give the baby the name that your husband wants, but the baby could actually go by his middle name? Just a thought. Speaking of names, I haven't come up with any that I am satisfied with. There are just tons of names out there to choose from for girls, but very few for boys. I am a pretty traditional person, so I want to go with a more traditional name. I ask my husband about names and he says "I haven't given 10 seconds thought to it yet." Thanks Honey, you are a HUGE help. Guess that means that I can name this kids anything I want without his protest. I think that I will whip out the family tree and see if I can come up with some ideas by looking at family names. Gotta go. Must take my daughter too preschool. Have a good one ladies! |

Cenicienta--I'm so glad you've opted-out of the trip. You deserve a day to yourself. Enjoy it.
Kasia--what a great response from your dh! Maybe with time (you know, 7 months or so ) the name won't be so important to him. I agree, you should both be represented.Welcome PrincessAmeena! Good luck! Well, I stopped spotting last weekend, so I feel oh so much better!! My first drs appt is Oct. 6th, so hopefully everything with check out alright. I have noticed something nausea-wise...I can hardly tolerate the wonderful veggies that I typically love...so, I've given in a few times to the high carb white stuff that I've been desiring. The few times I gave in...I found for the next couple of days I had horrible morning sickness. The days that I have tricked myself into eating veggies and meat instead I feel pretty darn good! So, I'm adopting what Luna said last week. Something along the lines of...it's all about choice. We have the choice to eat bad things...whether pregnant or not. We have to battle those cravings. That's all they are. You are so right. Have a great day, ladies!! Kbeth |

Good morning,
Tired, sick and cranky.. but otherwise doing fine. Yesterday Bethany launched herself out of the van and onto the pavement! Ouch. It was pretty scary too. Took her to the doctor and she is just fine, but now she screams when I put her into the van. Had an ultra-sound yesterday too. Doctor was worried about the spotting. Everything looks good. One baby in there, measuring right on target. Little olive is 1.72cm at this point. Sac looks good. Heart rate is 166 beats per minute. They changed my due date to the 7th of May now. Glad the bleeding has stopped Kasia and Cencienta. Howday Kbeth, Luna, Lilmiss! Welcome Ameenah! I am supposed to go back to work tomorrow. I don't know how I'll function. I've been so tired. The Dilectin for the morning sickness is working finally. It is really nice not to be throwing up four or five times a day!! But all I want to do is sleep. I guess it doesn't help that it has been rainy and dark and cold here. Hibernation weather.

Whew!!
I had quite a day yesterday I spent most of it in the hospital, my spotting turened bright red, became more and had fibrous tissue in it So I went to the hospital and they checked all my bits and pieces. My BHCG went from 5350 on Monday to 11,000 on thursday...is that normal?? Anyway my cervix is still closed (a more pleasant experience I cannot descibe ladies NOT to find out that particular piece of information) and I had an ultrasound that showed a gestational sack and yolk, Apparently I am measuring only 5.5 weeks (which is possible as PCOS stuffs around with dates) but there was no fetal pole. They weren't too concerned as I am right on the cusp of when it should be there. I have to go in next week to see if they can find it....I am thinking positive!!! After all bleeding can sometimes just happen (I Hope!!) and as the cervix is still closed it looks good. While having the ultrasound the lady check my ovaries to see if they were doing their job...MAN that hurts!!! |
