Please help... scared regarding my period!

Please help....
I am getting really worried about myself. I am 5'5 and 117 pounds, and I have stopped getting my period. I think that it is due to my really low weight, or something, and I am trying to gain some of my weight back. Being women, something (like your period) that is so constant in you life just STOPS, it makes you a little worried. If you could please help me in anyway, any advice or similiar stories, it would greatly help.

I don't know how old or how tall you are... is your wt appropriate for your height? have you ruled out any chance of being pregnant? If neither of those are an issue...are you do for a physical soon? How many cycles have you missed? occasionally one skipped cycle is no big deal but if it continues you should see your doc. It sounds like you are very worried... a call to the doc for at least a phone consult would be wise.

How long has it been since it stopped? Your weight doesn't seem low enough to cause that directly, but every individual is different. When I was 18 I weighed less than you do now at 5'8" and still had a period. I'd make a visit with a gynecologist and possibly also your GP and get everything checked out if I were you, especially if you've always had a regular cycle. Could you be pregnant?
