Is Splenda safe while pregnant?

Ok, ok, I thought I could make it. But now my sweet tooth is calling me. What do you think about using Splenda while pregnant?

All my pregnancy books said splenda was fine. I consumed it regularly. You (and baby) will be fine.

I guess as fine as regular sugar would be. It is made from sugar. I'm sure it'll be alright.

My midwives all agreed that Splenda was fine during pregnancy... in fact they believed it to be better than sugar because it doesn't cause blood sugar levels to spike in most people. As long as you don't overdo it you'll be fine ~smiles~

My dr said it was fine and I used it in moderation while pregnant.
