Try sniffing clary sage essential oil, having an "O" and drinking 2 teaspoons of castor oil. Did it for me!

Afternoon everyone. I hope everyone is having a great Saturday! I feel a lot better, I picked up dd from camp this morning, and she had a blast! I should ahve known she'd be okay, but I can't help but worry, kwim? She can't wait for next year, and was so full of stories, I hated to leave her to come to work, but I guess I'll hear about it all tomorrow lol!

Jenn - Your date sounds awesome, I'm kinda jealous! I wonder if I can convince dh to get us a sitter one night so we can have a date night! Let us know how the movie is!

Melanie - I don't blame you about the caster oil, I took it with Syd and almost threw up! I don't think I'll be that desperate this time, or at least I hope not, dd was 2 weeks overdue when I took it!


Becca - Interesting formula, is it required that you do it in that order lol? Or was that over a period of days? I know I tried everything with dd and nothing worked. The night my water broke I had given up on all the old wives tales and just figured I'd be pregnant forever lol!

Is anyone else having stronger Braxton Hicks contractions lately? The past few days they've been less of a just tightening feeling and more of a painful feeling. I know they got stronger with dd, but I don't remember this happening 6 weeks before my due date. They're not consistant, so I'm not concerned, but when I get them they are painful! Anyone else?

Call and speak to someone if you are worried. Better safe than sorry. I was on meds both pregnancies for pre term labor.

Luna, I've talked to an RN i know and she says if I have 5 or more strong BH's in an hour to definitely go in. She also said that even if they get less intense, mention it to my doc on Tuesday. The last few I've had have been a bit milder, so maybe it's over for now. Thanks fot he advice!

During my first pregnancy, at 7 weeks I went in for strong braxton hicks...they checked me, and I was fine (but dilated to 3), the problem was dehydration. They put me on an I.V with fluids. The contractions slowed and then stoppped.

This happened twice... I thought I was doing fine, then they started again. so I remembered the I.V....and drank tons of water. As soon as I started in with lots of water... the contracitions would stop. If they started up again, then I would just drink more water. (I drank approx. 2 gallons a day!) But it slowed the contractions. The alternative was a pill. Yuck. Natural is better.

But there was a definite correlation between dehydration and getting enough water. Just try a lot of water and see if it helps.

I figured I'de go the more natural way, even though I peed every 5 minutes!!!!

Just wanted to check in and see if anyone's heard from Amy... I hope she's off having little Sara.

I'm still here, and still pregnant. Liam and I were in a wedding yesterday - he was ring bearer, and he was so cute in his little kilt. (it was a scottish wedding) It was a really long day for everyone, and he was so tired by the end of the night - and cranky - that I was ready to jump off a bridge. *sigh*

Ugh...I feel SO out of the loop. I am used to being on here almost all day and knowing what is going on. Now that I am home, it is hard. My mother is always working during the day, so by the time I get on, IF I get on it in the evening. And, my weekends are all booked up.

Jenn ~ Please let us know how Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was. I am very curious. Looks weird to me. DM and I saw "Must Love Dogs" the other night. Very cute movie.

Becca ~ I keep thinking about the castor oil thing. But my doctor told me not to take it yet. Maybe she tells ladies to take it at some point?? I tried the "O"...nothing. I don't know what the other thing is. It is some sort of herb??

Dal ~ Glad your DD had a good time at camp. Was it overnight camp? How long? I used to go from camp to camp almost all summer. I loved it!! Plus I am sure my parents liked it too. I unfortunately can't relate with the BH...never had one. Don't even know what one feels like. Just keep an eye on them and if you are worried, don't hesitate to call your dr. again.

So, I have my dr's appt in the morning. I believe a decision will be made tomorrow! I already warned DH and DM that if they give me a date to be induced, I will probably be hysterical. I have a feeling my anxiety will just take over. It is one thing to know that it is coming soon, but to have an exact date might be more than I can handle. I am a little nervous.

It will be nice to have an u/s. I keep depating on whether I should invite my mother in with me. I know when she was pregnant, she never got to see them too much and she would SO love to be in there. I just don't know if I am comfortable. I don't know...I know it would make her so happy. Maybe if she promises not to look at my fat, dent of a stomach and just look straight at the monitor. I keep wavering. I am uncomfortable talking about being pregnant with her...let alone having my belly hanging out, stretch marks and all and lying there on a table for 45 minutes. I don't know...we will see what happens tomorrow.

Well, got to go. More plans for today.

I will probably pop back tonight. Sorry if I have missed anything over the past few days.

Hi, all, thanks for the thoughts! We're still here, probably reporting to the hospital tomorrow night. I'm hoping he'll check me in the AM and we'll have some progress.

The more reading I do, the more it seems like the real average for first time moms is 8-10 days past.

I know what you mean Amy, I've been freaking out the past couple days knowing I have a deadline, even though I could theoretically go at any time.

My tongue hurts from eating pineapple....

Happy Sunday evening everyone! I am working a night shift tonight, 12 hours from 7pm-7am. It sucks, since I'm not used to working nights anymore. It really screws up my schedule, and it takes days for me to feel back to normal.

I've been feeling overly emotional today. Because I work away from home, I basically live with my in-laws for most of the week. They were away this weekend at the lake and I thought they would be home later in the evening, but instead they showed up at 10:30am. Dh and the girls were in town with me at the in-laws house and decided to stay and visit with them instead of spending the afternoon out of the house so I could sleep. I ended up packing my stuff and heading to my moms house instead so I could catch a few hours of sleep this afternoon, which really is not a big deal, but I bawled all the way from my in-laws house to the store and then to my moms. I just could not stop crying! I still feel kind of weepy tonight, and snapped at my dh before he and the girls left for home. I feel bad about it, but I think I've just had it. I'm tired of working, tired of being away from home, I miss my dh and my girls miss their beds! I only have 3 weeks left, I hope I can make it.

Sorry for the vent girls, just had to get it off my chest. Quick individuals:

Aedie - I am definitely going to pull out my water bottle when I get home and keep it full. In the meantime I bought a bottle of water at the store here and I've just been filling it up. So far no bh's today!

Anastasia - Liam dressed in a kilt sounds so cute! I just love seeing the little ones in weddings, their just too darned adorable!

Amy - glad to hear from you! It must be frusterating not being able to get on the computer! DD was at an overnight camp, from Wednesday till Saturday. She'll keep going only 3 days until she's 10, then they go for a week ! But that's a few years away, maybe next year It'll be easier to let her go.

Melanie - Is the pineapple a craving, or something that's supposed to help induce you naturally?

Luna - Congrats on your positive test!! Welcome to the club! And I love your due date, same b-day as my oldest dd ! How are you feeling?
