No problem.

For any other lurkers.... most of the women here are NOT actively trying to get pregnant yet.... many are just trying to get in better shape to TTC in the future. The main theme is that we have have some baby fever to varying degrees!

So if you are NOT trying to TTC now.... don't let THAT stop you from posting!

Well I am off to the specialist tomorrow to see about metformin etc for my PCOS. I have the WORST cold, so feel crappy, did a test and got a BFN. This is the problem with PCOS, I have no idea when my actual period is due

Ah well onward and upward.

Went to my cousins babies first birthday on the weekend, hence where I got the cold I am sure!! kids are germ bags LOL, last time I went and visited them I got gastro, (they live a fair way away so I stay for the weekend) maybe next time I'll take a gas mask

he was cute though, but hard work, I entertained myself by looking through her baby books and freaking myself out at the labour shots

Anyway hope everyone has a good week

Hi Everyone,

My surgery is over...that's about the best thing I can say about it. I had a tough time coming out of the anesthesia, and felt like crap for a couple of days afterwards. Unfortunately they were unable to unblock my tubes, so it looks like we'll be moving on to IVF. I'm gonna call my doctor in the morning and try to get an appointment in the next few weeks so we can start to really move ahead with that.

Hope everyone is having an ok Tuesday . Nothing to report for me, we're saving all our energy for the 19-24 . Actually DH is crazy busy with school work and I'm trying to stay busy with house work to keep my mind off babies. It's kinda hard with me working at an Infant Room in a day care, but I try to clear my head at home.. sometimes... .

kasia15, I have PCOS and I'm taking Metformin 1700 mg. My cycles went from alll over the place to 39 days on the dot and then to all over the place again after the MC . But the Metformin worked for me, hopefully it will kick in again soon. I hope your dr's appt went well .

Annie O, Sorry they couldn't do more for you at your surgery . Good LUCK with the IVF !!!

saltire, I started temping and charting yesterday . GOOD LUCK to you!!!

Angela, DH is enjoying his freedom till the 19th so no ice pack till then .

jennifer-in-wv, I totally understand what you mean when you say that TTC is all consuming. I was driving myself crazy as well, I'd go to all the TTC boards and websites. Now I limit myself to this one .

bebamom, .

Laprettygurl, when are you planning on getting your house built????

Ok time to get myself ready for work, HAVE FUN LADIES!!!!

Hi All

Sorry to hear that your surgery was such a bummer Annie O, hope you feel better soon.

My specialist has sent me for every test under the sun, including your standard pre conception tests rubella Hb and C etc. that should be fun NOT!! he he

Also sending hubby to get his wrigglers checked just incase, hubby is excited, he likes facts and figures

I may not need a baby after all, my hubby got sick as well (just a little bit achy), and he was the bigget baby of all!! some men are hopeless, all I can say is, if he ever gets a cold I am going home to stay with my mum....never had one yet for 5 years I known him, and I am sure I would have to kill him if he does he is such a sook!

I missed the change... I mean, the thread switch. Luna, I'm a dork, can you post the new thread link or something at the end of the old thread. That way I get the e-mail and I'll know to re-subscribe to the new thread. Luv ya- thanks!!!

Luna-... you're crackin' me up with the doughnut reference! LMAO!!! But they still remain an obstacle. I've been doing a strict 30 carbs a day (for 6 days) and back to excersizing. If I'm gonna get preggo in a few months, I want to have a decent start!!! I don't have any weight to lose, but I want to be in shape, and healthy.

Bebamom- I have a 4 year old and I am already questioning having another because I'm gaining my independance back a little. I am so impressed with your desire to have another baby when you've got 2 half grown kids. Well, I guess that's easy babysitting!!!

Laprettygurl- There is never a "perfect" time to be pregnant. There will always be something- new home, unemployment, finances, moving, health issues...etc. So if your healthy now, go for it!!!!

jennifer-in-wv- When you are least expecting it, it will happen. Try not to obsess (I know it's hard) but keep trying!

kasia15- Wait until you have a pristine new baby- those "germy" toddlers will have you running the opposite way!!! Aren't men the worst when they are sick??? Mine is in denial until it's full blown- then he wants to be babied.

Saltire- A watched pot never boils!!! When I was anxious about starting TOM, (before I wasn't ready for a pregnancy) I would stress out over not getting my TOM...which made it worse... so my cycles were like 40 days!!! Then this last cycle, when I could have cared less either way...it was early. Try some relaxation techniques maybe.

AnnieO- I'm trying to get into the loop... from your last post it sounds like your had your tubes tied. I'm sorry you're surgery left you feeling like that. Hope you feel better soon!

Maja- Good luck with Baby fever since you have to be around them all day long!! Oh, and thanks for the warning- when you don't post from the 19th-24th we won't be worried!

For myself- I'll keep trying to avoid doughnuts!!!!!

Morning Ladies. I don't generally post here, but I am known to lurk. Anyhow, I've had a concern nagging at the back of my mind for some time now.

I worked so hard at losing weight after Tim and I got married. I am so excited to begin TTC next summer, but I am also scared that I will gain a ton of weight and not be able to lose it after the pregnancy. I know it's a silly concern all things considered, but it still twinges at the back of my mind.

Waiting, waiting, waiting..

Anyone else feel like they're constantly waiting for something????? I'm sitting here on the computer obsessing about my chart that I just started 3 days ago so there's not much to obesess about . So I'm counting down the days and waiting to ovulate, then I'm going to be counting down the days and waiting for AF to arrive or waiting to be able to test.

There's always something, waiting to lose all those lbs I gained in the last year, waiting for the phone call that there is a job opening somewhere out there for me. Sheesh..

All this waiting is making me depressed and is driving me nuts.... .

As you might be able to tell, I'm in an icky mood today, I "accidently" clicked on another TTC related board and there are soo many BFP announcements that I think I'm just feeling sorry for myself. I really should delete all the TTC bookmarks I have, I only get depressed when I go back to them .

Thanks for letting me vent, DH is SNORING so I can't talk to him, besides he doesn't understand these things.... .

Stress can screw up your cycles too, so try to give yourself a break mentally! Does not mean you have to stop "trying"

Good lick on the IVF... I have known many have great luck with it!

Now are you prepared for the possibility of more than one kid at once???

Annie was having surgery to have her blocked tubes freed up.

Have you tried out any of the lowcarb recipes for doughnuts? Or maybe just tried making your own without sugar?

I will start posting the new thread at the end of each old one! I totally spaced that out!
