Morning Mommies!

I'm up early and watching the Muppet Show with Liam, who insisted on chicken nuggets and apple slices for breakfast! He's cranky today. Then he's off to visit grandma while I go to work. Later tonight there's a Tae Kwon Do tournament which I'm competing in - Pattern and Breaking only. Should be a good time.

Happy Friday ladies....

Don't have time for personals, because....TODAY IS MY LAST DAY AT WORK!!

As I was driving to the doctors yesterday and was almost in tears because my back hurt so bad, I just decided that I needed to just be home. Then, it didn't help that my appt was 30 minutes late, so I was in agony sitting in the waiting room!

So...not much progress was made. The doctor said that I am not dialating, but my cervix is thinning good. I went from a minus 5 to a minus 4 station. But that is it. She said that she still doesn't think I will go early or possibly not even on my EDD - but I know not to read to much into that - I just hate hearing it.

But...OMG...that internal hurt SO bad yesterday. She just kept saying "just a second, just a second, I know..." and I am like "Lady, if you wanted to check my tonsils out, I would have opened my mouth for you!!"

So now today my stomach is really sore...I assume from the internal.

Anyway...my mom arrives tomorrow to stay with me until after Sara is born. I don't know why, but I am not really looking forward to it. I don't know if it is the reality that she brings to the situtation or just remembering how long she is going to be here and not being sure how that is going to go. She plans on staying until September!! We haven't had the talk about how long she will be staying with me...I kinda don't want her there the whole time, but I don't know what she has in her head.

Anyway...since I will be at home and my mom will be working (even though she lives in Canada, she works for a Massachusetts doctor, so all she does is plug in her computer and she can work from my home) I might not be on as much - NO I definitly won't be on as much as I am now. I will probably check in daily once or twice, but that is it.

Sorry I just typed all about me and didn't do any personals...just wanted to fill you all in and I need to get me work done.

I am sure I will lurk and BBL!!

Amy - Congrats on your last day of work. The kind of pain you were in, it's best to relax more at home!
I hope the time with your Mom is not as stressful as you fear, maybe her work will keep her quite busy.
Here's hoping that Sara doesn't keep you waiting too long! Good luck!!!

Anastasia- I CANNOT get over the fact that you are doing Tae Kwan Do with triplets and competing in tournaments yet! Obviously more willpower in your pinky then I have altogether. Congrats , you are doing amazing!

I am so glad you decided to take off work. I hope you can get some rest before Sara arrives. Good luck with having your Mom there.

Kaillean-Cute sweater! I tried to make a sweater as a gift, but gave up on it. I really should try again. The soaker you made is so cute. When I told my Grandma that I plan on using cloth, she told me that she has all the soaker patterns she used for my Dad and his brother and sisters! She said most of them are knit, so it looks like I'll be learning to knit soon.

I am feeling pretty good day. I have so much to do at work though. Hopefully I can get it done so that I don't have to work this weekend.

Louise - Does your Grandma still like knitting? Maybe she would enjoy making some soakers for you? This, of course, is coming from someone who found knitting a confusing challenge. Glad you are feeling well

Hi, Val. I am not sure if my Grandma knits much. She usually does crochet (as do I). I really love doing any crafts with my hands.

Well, I put a call into the new doctor. They will take me as a new patient, but the receptionist needs to talk to the doctor about when he wants to see me since I am already almost 14 weeks. Hopefully they'll call back soon.

Louise - yay on the new Doctor. Feeling comfortable with who will be delivering your Baby is so important I think. I had a Doctor I really disliked a couple of years ago and hung in there with her for a while since it's so hard to get a new Doc here. But fortunately I got in with my DH Doc and now am referred to a OB and she is fantastic! I started seeing her because I was high risk, and she is really great.
I hope the new one is the right one for you!

Val--I am sure your situation is different since you're in Canada, but it is pretty hard to find a new doc here that is accepting new patients. I am so glad this new guy was.

They suggested I keep my appointment with my current OB so I'll go there one last time on the 15th, then I meet the new guy on the 24th.

I cannot begin to tell you how much less stress I feel today

Same here as far as finding a new Doctor goes. Very hard. Glad you could get in to a new one who you feel better with. That's the last thing you need to stress about.
