*~*~Losin' The Baby Fat - Thunda Thighs Thursday*~*~

So, I'm up late looking at baby t-shirts... Found some that I'm dying over... LOL!

I should send Ezra out with Hank with this one on...

This is cute... The mommy T says "Cranky" and the baby T says "Stinky" LOL!

Ezra needs this one...

*snort*

Okay... I REALLY need to go to bed now... LOL!

See you girlies in the morn...

Oh... Forgot to post these... Figure I'll be the pic ho for the day!

Anna and her hat! (Well, it's actually Allison's hat, but seeing that she's not a baby anymore...)

Cute pics Jen, loved the ones from yesterday too!

Hugs to everyone with “bad mommy” stories. One day when Logan was about 7 weeks old I could NOT stop bumping his head on things, I swear, I must have knocked him 5 times that day. He never cried, but I sure did!

Chelle, OMG, I now can’t get the visual of you sitting in front of the computer drooling up a storm! LOL

Melissa, I never had an exersaucer either, but I’m wondering if I have enough toys for him.

Tracy, you’re really freaking me out with the ghost stories!

Dar, great pics of Allison, look at how chunky she is in that last one! And, I just had to chortle at the one where she’s slipped down. Logan’s head flops over in the car seat sometimes and it always makes me feel like he’s going to have a kinked neck!

I guess I’m going to call the counselor the doctor recommended today. I’m not sure I will be able to spill my guts to her, as I find it really difficult to complain about Sweden to a swede (other than DH!) Sometimes I get this completely overwhelming feeling that I’ll never be a good enough mom. And, sometimes (like the past few days) I really question myself, “am I holding him enough, too much, does he have enough stimulation, does he have too much? Why didn’t he poop today (like it’s my fault)?” Plus, it didn’t help that the doctor yesterday asked if I was breastfeeding, and when I said no, she gave me a nasty look and said “why not?” but it sure came across as “why the HELL not?!” It was none of her business, and I really hated having to explain myself.

I hope everyone is having a better day than me! Although, it looks like it’s finally stopped raining, so maybe I’ll be able to get some fresh air and sunshine.

Will check back later

Jen- I love the t-shirts and the pictures of Anna!!!

Martha- Toys, they seem to creap up on you. I could probably fill 2 toy boxes at this point. We have his toy box in his room and then we have a basket of toys out in the livingroom. He will have more than you know what to do with before you know it!

Well, Andrew went to bed at 5am and when he did he decided to shut off the AC (I guess the storms finally hit that brought in the cool air), so he must have been hitting the wrong buttons on the remote because he was beeping away, which of cource woke me up...then he flopped on to bed and I had to ask him to open up the window for air...then about 15 mins later Hunter woke up (probably from all that beeping on the wall by his bed)....so he is having some french toast and watching the dreaded Tellie Tubbies (I HATE THEM)...............

Good morning ladies!

Melissa~well Murphy only nursed once instead of 3 times last night, so crossing my fingers today will be normal. I brought a bottle of fenugreek to work with me. I was thinking of starting with 3/day and working my way up. Kellymom dot com suggested doing that until you start to smell like maple syrup. Ok, no big deal. Until I read the label, which says "Not for use by pregnant or lactating women". ?????????? Did your bottle say this?

Morning!

I'm having some quiet 'me' time while Emily's still asleep.

Jenn- Great pictures! Anna is so cute!

Martha - Sure hope your day improves!

Melissa- Emily has so many toys she doesn't even know what to play with. We put away a lot of them and recently brought them back out. It was like Christmas to her! She'd already forgotten them. PS-I HATE the tellie tubbies too!

Jen- Sorry, I can't be of any help about the fenugreek. I wasn't able to BF because of medication I have to take.

Elana has definitely broke a top tooth through the gum line so hopefully the 2nd is sure to follow and then her crankiness will calm a bit. The doc called it right, she said this week would be the week and here it is!

I'm having some "ewww" moments lately. After losing what I've lost weight wise, I'm noticing times when my inner thighs and my upper arms (where I already have hanging crap) kinda "slaps" against some other part of me (other leg, side of my ribcage). It's really quite nasty

Scale sitting still...TOM due next Tuesday so we'll see what happens. I WILL WORKOUT TODAY (repeating that over and over) when I get home.

Have a great day ladies!

Have a good day at work Chelle!

Well, I got out over 9oz on this mornings pumping session. Thanks for the reassuring words, Melissa.

Murphy went down at 8:30, woke at 2:30 but I got the paci in quickly and he went back to sleep. When DH got up for the day at 4:30am, Murphy was still in his crib. He woke a few minutes after that around 4:40am. I think 8 hours is great!!! So he nursed at that point and that was his only nursing this morning.

BBL at lunch

Hi to everyone else!

KJen- Yeah, all the bottles say that, but you can talk to any LC or the LaLeche League and they will tell you they recommend it. You can actually take up to 16 pills a day, but I never went that high. The most I was taking was 9 pills total, 3 in the morning when I got up, 3 at lunchtime and 3 during dinner. I have my fingers crossed!!!! Let me know how today's pumping goes with Murphy only eating once last night. If you end up starting to take it, tell your daycare providers, because Murphy's poop and pee can smell like Maple Syrup also...just so they are not alarmed :-)

Chelle- Later down the line, you can have that skin taken off.....losing the weight and having things "slap" is worth it!!! Congrats to Elana and her first tooth!!!!!

I just realized that TOM will arrive for myself maybe tomorrow or this weekend? YUCK...gotta go get my BC prescription to CVS in the morning on my way to work so that I can pick it up on my way home from work.

Does anyone still use Similac? If you do, I have a $2.00 off coupon for Similac 2 (but I know most places will take it for the normal brand also).

Hello everyone.

Hey Jen. Fenugreek, along with every other herbal that you'll find, has the "not for use by pregnant or lactating women", or, "p or l women should consult a physician before using this product". It is a spice that is used liberally in some foods, though, and it's been consumed for milennia by pregnant and lactating women, with the only real side effect being a measurable increase in lactation.

You might as well put the same warning on basil pesto... Same idea.

...And by the way, after I pressed about 4 buttons on the AC remote, I slipped gently into bed, and then was told to open the window. Then as I was about to fall asleep, someone had to announce loudly that she had to go pee. Then she came back singing a silly song and wiggling in bed with a funny little dance. Someone probably doesn't even remember all of those things, that also could have woken up Hunter.

I do stuff like that too. Dh will say "do you remember doing XYZ" and I'll think he's crazy. But I know he couldn't have made up what he said I did!

on getting a good batch this morning Jen! I used to get about 6 oz. per sitting when Spencer was in the NICU. Now that he's home, I only find time to pump 6 times a day instead of 8 and I usually can't sit for the full 20 minutes per session. I'm only getting about 3 oz. now, which is why I started taking fenugreek yesterday. My bottle just says for preggo women not to use, but so many LC's suggest it that I decided to ignore the bottle.

Martha, good luck at the doctor today. Just let it all out, whether she's a sweede or not!

Jen, cute pics! I meant to tell you I watched the video of Anna eating and she is so sweet and funny. You have your hands full!

I'm drive by posting for the time being. I'm usually not up at this time of the morning, but Spencer needed to eat and then I had to pump, which woke me up enough I thought I'd get online for a minute. Now I'm headed back to bed. I'll BB around NOON!

Mandy

Hi Mommies! Wow, you guys are all doing so great! I read the thread *almost* every day and I love hearing what all your little ones are up to. Anyway, I had to post this picture just for Jenn. I read yesterday's thread and saw the pic you posted of Anna in all her bedhead glory and I just have to say, miss anna aint got nothin on Kelsey's bedhead

check this out....which leads me to a question for you mommies....is it ok to put conditioner on their hair? I know this may seem like a stupid question but I am clueless about this one. I always use just the Johnson & Johnson No More Tears shampoo...no conditioner. I am hoping conditioner will be ok so that maybe it will help bring this tangled morning mess under control. We literally wrestle for 15 min every morning while I try and comb it out and she tries to run away.

Tell me about it! Yeah, I am guessing some mild conditioner would be ok but you would have thought I was planning on poisoning the child when I brought it up to my MIL. She said I should call the pediatrician first . Mind you, she is sort of an alarmist but she got me kinda freaked out.

I love it!! Conditioner is definitely okay - I've been using it on Mac since she was at least 2...she needed it bad! Also, if you're worried about it rinsing in her eyes, get the leave-in kind and spray a bit in her hair after bath. Or - they also have the de-tangler by Johnson 'n Johnson that is especially like a leave-in conditioner for kids.

Add my name to the bad mommy list. I put Emily down to nap on our bed and put pillows all around her so she wouldn't roll off. Well, she rolled over the pillows and onto the floor. I heard a loud thump then she started crying. Of course she stopped as soon as I picked her up.

Jen, my bottle also said that. And yes, you will smell. Alot.

Martha, can you just pin down one of your American friends and vent awhile? Hopefully the doctor can help you. You are doing fine with Logan!!!!

Melissa and Andrew! Rob loves to rehash silly things I do in my sleep.

Summer, I would definitely get some sort of detangler or conditioner. Oh my!

Menu today:
B- deviled eggs, bacon
L- leftover steak and squash
D- pork chop, salad or squash
snacks if needed- cheese, celery w/ cream cheese

Reposting some pics I posted last night...

Sleepy baby a few nights ago.

And here's what I came home to yesterday afternoon (doesn't look comfortable, does it?):

A baby who loves her changing table!

Dar, those are great pictures of Alison. You always have a lot of good pictures of her smiling. I'm still trying to catch Abby smiling when I have the camera! And she hates her changing table.

DAR! I love those pics!!!

SUMMER - I already use a shampoo w/conditioner in it for Anna... I just use the Suave Kids brand. Her hair was so dry, and I wasn't even washing it every day. They have some awesome detanglers out there now too. There's no reason why you couldn't use them. If your MIL complains, tell her to come over and fight with Kelsey to brush her hair! LOL! Now I'm seeing Anna's future though! LOL! I think she just doesn't have enough hair to have that much bedhead!!! What a scream! She's still darned cute though!

I am so flippin' excited!!! When we were travelling to Houston around Thanksgiving, I saw what looked to be a drive in theater in the making... Well, we just went back a couple weeks ago, and movies were showing!!!

It's in Ennis, which is around an hour away from us in Plano, but I think it would be SO worth it to go. I could take the babies without having to worry about them disturbing anyone else, and I think drive-ins are cool anyway. I loved going as a kid, and would love my kids to experience one. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO!!! And I found out that Hank has NEVER been to a drive-in. I know it's not because of his age, because I remember going as a kid.

Here's an article I saw on it - http://www.drive-ins.com/detail/txtenni
