Getting us going beautiful mommies!!

Scale settling on 273 still...but I started my workouts full force again last night. I did the 2 mile watp and it kicked my butt...I could feel my muscles the whole time. But isn't that the point??

Anyone else had problems with their teeth since pregnancy? I'm starting to wonder if my giving birth at an older age plus 2nd pregnancy has. I broke a tooth in the hospital after birth on a piece of bacon and then last night half a tooth just fell out of my mouth Luckily, neither have nerves/roots exposed as Knowles' dental for me hasn't kicked in yet and I can't afford crowns until I pay off this stupid lawyer. But it's starting to get a bit annoying! I'm gonna need dentures before Elana turns one at this rate

If all else fails...it will definitely keep me from eating too much

G'mornin'.

(Friendship just woke up and dashed out of the room because I wasn't beside her. Some nights I just can't wind down, and this cold isn't helping.)

Tooth problems suck. I'm sorry. Hopefully you get insurance before things get worse. There have been huge advances in dentistry, though, so there are more options than just the standard messy dentures.

Becca- I never used the sterelizer things... we just washed them by hand. I just let them dry and poped them back together...never really paid attention to how I did it. I wish I still had mine, I would send them too you, but I just eBayed them so Hunter wouldn't see them.

Mandy- Weird, your country didn't have any home run ones in the list? I pulled up a couple counties and they had home based daycares in the mix. I agree with Luna, check out the base. Most bases do have daycare centers, but many of the moms do daycare also.

Wow, no late night chatting last night...it was easy to catch up while Andrew was in the shower.

Okay let's see what I retained from yesterday

Luna- and you have an absolutely gorgeous babe!!!!

Deidre- My DH had a V and it is great, but we KNOW we don't want anymore kids, I love the convenience of not forgetting anything. You do have to go w/out sex for like 2-4 weeks though...MAJOR to you though!!!

Tracy- I totally agree w/ you 200% about the AP thing!!

Jefinner- Howdy, Oh meant to tell you when I did take BC pills I took Yasmin and Ortho Cept,...I loved the Ortho Cept 28. Then I did the ring and thats how Lexi came to be...

GREAT pics yesterday to everyone who posted them!!!!

Sarah- how is BFL coming, sorry I quit but I can't keep gaining weight before my vacation...I gotta look good on the beach!

Vanessa- Sorry bout the van issues! Tell Jared to take a chill pill! You deserve major !

Dawn-Howdy!!!

Chels-Hey to you!

Becca- I hope you stayed strong girl!

Mandy- I looked in the paper, then took their address and did a search for criminals, I went to their houses and did "interview" with them as to how they ran things, etc. I went to 4 different ladies and watch them for a while so I could see how they react w/ other kids as well as Lexi....GET REFERRALS...ask them if you can call other moms and get their opinions!!!

Melissa- I notice you are having fried tilipia, Meijers had them one sale BOGO bag last Saturday and I stocked up, I love that fish, did you coat yours w/ parmessan cheese and fry? MMMMMM!!!

Andrew- BTW I cooked the stuffed peppers for my mother and step-dad and they LOVED it....they couldn't believe how simple it was....thanks again for the recipe!!

Chelle-Howdy!!

Lauren-How is work? I hope it is not as hectic? I wanted to ask where in Ohio are you coming? Has the acne cleared up yet?

Kjen-Hey there!

Cecilia- I miss you!! I can't wait for school to get back in session to have you back again!!

Holly- How is the MS coming?

Well...

sorry for all those that I missed but EOM and I gotta run.

Oh

BTW went to my yearly pap smear and my doc was so impressed that I was back down to my pre-prego weight!!! All the nurses there begged me to bring Lexi in once I showed them her pic...it's so nice going to a place where you feel the love...they all remembered my name and Bruce's and asked how the boys liked being a big brother....so nice!!

Awesome. Glad it was a hit, and thanks for the report back!

When your doctor notes your weight loss and expresses happiness at it, you know you're doing something right. Congrats!

Geez!! I'm sorry to hear that - hopefully you can get it fixed sooner than later. Do you take a vitamin daily? - and even a couple of Tums per day might be a good idea for calcium.

Hey!! Things have chilled some, but I'm in the process of studying to take the PMP (Project Management Professional) exam in early September, and it's INTENSE!! I feel like I won't really be able to relax until after that, but I'm getting there!! The acne is improving, but taking a while to go away. I'll be close to Wright Patterson AFB - are you anywhere near there??

We've found a new daycare to replace our most recent new daycare. The one we found in a pinch was about 15 miles from our house and WAYYYYYYYY out of both of our ways. Plus, she never wipes the high chair, puts the kids to nap with filthy faces, etc... - even though she is very sweet. A gal who lives about a mile from us who our family knows really well (and who even did drop-in care for Mac a couple of weeks when she was 7 mos. old) just happened to have an opening when I called. Kendall starts there on August 22nd, and she will also take the new baby when he/she arrives, so that will be AWESOME!!

I told the current lady today, and she was not happy, but hey - what can I do? I basically told her that we'd been on a waiting list with a family friend who is only 1 mile from our house, and she has an opening so we can't pass it up. She said, "okay," but wouldn't even look me in the eye after that. It's very apparent that she's taking it personally, but I can't help it. The main reason is the distance, but the other things come into play as well...but I didn't have to bring them up, ya know? Oh well - I just hope the next 3 weeks aren't awkward as hell!!

Hi Mommies,

I read through yesterdays thread, but now I've forgotten everything I was going to say!

Chelle, that's a bummer about your teeth. I hope you can get them fixed soon.

Hi Melissa & Andrew

Well, I swear I'm going to need Valium soon! My DH was able to get me in to see the doctor about my, um, surgery, so we went right away and I wasn't at all mentally prepared. So this woman pokes and prods me for about 10 minutes, then proceeds to tell me that yes, I need surgery, but they can't/won't do it until my estrogen levels are back up--which she could aparently tell were low just by looking at my vagina. She also said she thought I'd have long term pain and recommended *gasp* lidocain (sp?) cream to numb me. OMG I just cannot imagine!

Did any of you see the episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm where someone gave Larry "special" condoms that were supposed to make him last longer--well he put it on inside out and his wife was numb for a week! I just can't get that out of my head now.

Logan is seriously fussy, bbl.

Hi ladies...just wanted to pop in and say thank you for your help yesterday. I went home and rested - or tried to. Still have the pains today, but not as bad...hopefully they stay that way.

And regarding the "smelling like a balloon" comment. It isn't like I stick my nose down there, but after using one, if I don't take a shower immediately, every time I pee/wipe, that is all I can smell.

Well, I will leave you ladies alone and head back over to where I belong. Thanks again!

Hi Martha, I'm sorry about what the doctor said...

Morning mommies!

Chelle- on losing half a tooth. OMG that would scare the crap outta me. Yay on starting your workouts again! And the compliments you were given were well deserved. I am going to save that posts of yours and repost it when you are downing yourself. I think you are very beautiful, inside and out.

Dar- WTG on your loss!!

Lauren- that's really great about your sitter! I just would be really cautious of the way she might be treating Kendall in the next 3 weeks
Maybe do some unannounced drop ins!

Cynthia- yay on getting back to your pre-preggo weight!

Hi Andrew! So nice to see you popping in once in a while! I wish more dads did.

Amy- glad the pain is a little better today feel free to chat here anytime.
Oh and on the sex thing, don't worry about a *ahem* mess there, should you happen to go into labor. They have seen it all, trust me and lots of women use the big (O) plus the magic swimmers in semen to soften/ ripen the cervix and possible jumpstart their labor, me included
You are not at a risk for premature labor- I say go for it.
Sex after baby..... well, may be a thing of the past for a while.

Nothing new going on here, I am sorry, I can't remember everything I just read.

I am projecting and lots that I might see 154-155 by Friday.
I ate horribly over the weekend and Sunday my weight was up to 164
Probably a lot of water, but still.
Monday- 163
Tuesday- 161
This morning- 158

So, maybe, just maybe, if I continue doing what I am doing this week, I might break this stall.

Anyway- bb in a bit, going to get some coffee.

Oh and Jen- Katie LOVES blues clues too! It makes me physically nautious ( ) but she just stares and stares, so I can deal with it for short bursts.
She has also become addicted to, get this, the beverly friggin hillbillies

She even does the little wave at the end, along with them,

Oh and I had the scare of my life last night while I was cooking and she was standing right next to me playing in my "plastics" cabinet and then disappeared.
We were near hysterics (after calling her for maybe 15-20 seconds) until her rotten little butt opened the cabinet and popped out.
I just have no idea what she is going to do next.

Hi again, sorry I haven't had time for personals (WTG Dar, though!)

Logan is finally napping, and now he's whimpering and outright screaming in his sleep. I'm not sure what to do...should I wake him?

LOL...Friendship. I have people at work who are constantly checking to see if I am in in the morning. Gets kinda annoying to hear "Oh, you're here!" "Ah...yeah!! Duh."

It will only get worse.........I remember the 9 days after my due date came and went......everyone would pause, look at me, shake their heads, ask me why I was there and when that baby was going to come out.

I used to want to scream at them, telling them I was still around because I needed something to occupy myself and to leave me alone.

Good Morning everyone. Well other than fighting w/ DH last night about how late he stays up...my evening went really well. Going on day 2 w/ no spotting...and Emily slept all night long. Put her in crib and she woke up, as usual, but went right to sleep. And that was 9 pm.

Anyhoo...the scales for me are reading 112. So I think I have officially gained 2 lbs. But I contribute that to doing more of a high carb diet. lol

Well take care and I will check in later.

I am really trying to turn over a new leaf and stay focused at work, so I am trying to stay away from the boards except when I am pumping or have quick question. Maybe I can do some more personals when I start feeling like I am making progress at work.

I am typing this post outside of the internet and am going to copy and paste it. Sorry for the hit and run, but I need to ask a quick question.

Melissa~ Murphy has been sleeping fairly consistently from 8pm to 3am (or later). I usually nurse him once at night when he wakes and then again before I leave for work. Last night, he woke at 12:45. So he nursed at 12:45, 3:30, and 6am. There was an extra feeding in there I guess my body wasn’t used to. I know this seems like common sense, but I am guessing that is the reason my typical 8oz morning pump was only 5oz. Did you ever have this happen to you? I am assuming that if he goes back to normal tonight and doesn’t have that extra feeding, that my morning pump should return to its usual level. What do you think?

I am stressing out about so much in my life now, that I don’t want to let one low pumping session send me into orbit, ya know what I mean?

Ok, I’ll be back at lunch to get caught up on reading.

Well - I just lost my last post so I'll try again Anyway - cold front landed here in Texas and the high today is only supposed to be in the 80's - in Texas - in July! Love it!

I'm going to my last daytime yoga class. Next week I'll be back at work and will have to try and make it to the evening class if I even have time to go.

Wanted to check in early while the thread was still light..

Congrats on the workouts Chelle and the weight loss Dar!! Great job to both of you!!

Sorry so brief - but with the rain don't want to chance an outage!!
