Breastbottle® Nurser

Our bottle is more like breastfeeding! This revolutionary bottle is more like breastfeeding! Unlike hard plastic bottles, this soft, comforting nurser has a breast-like shape and feel that babies accept more readily. No wonder it's endorsed by medical professionals as the best bottle option for breastfed babies! Ideal for working moms who want to keep breastfeeding, and it minimizes nipple confusion for baby. The lifelike nipple enhances latch-on and features three ducts--one open, two latent--so you can adjust the flow rate. With collapsible walls and a pressure-equalizing valve that minimizes air ingestion. Holds 7 oz.; cap included. Its design is easy to fill and clean. Dishwasher safe.

Hey ladies,

Well my little DD has pink-eye. We are trying to figure out how she got it -- she hasn't been to daycare since last Friday, and it just developed yesterday. Does it take that long to incubate?

So we're giving her the eye drops (oh what fun) and the doc said she'd be OK for daycare tomorrow. Normally I would keep her home anyway but I have my afternoon OB tests and I can't bring her with me.

On a lighter note, our doggies are in being groomed, clipped and such today. They're long overdue -- we should have had them trimmed in June before it got too hot. But they'll be so shiny and soft and good smelling when they get home!

-- Jenn

Good morning ladies!

Just a quick post before heading to work. I wanted to say that I'm starting to feel more symptoms (could still be another blighted ovum...won't know until the ultrasound in two weeks), however, I have been nauseous the past three mornings in a row so here's hoping that is a good sign. With my first pregnancy that ended up being an empty sac, I never had any nausea.

I'm happy about this latest development but I also know it could be the progesterone suppositories making me feel this way as well. Ugh! So frustrating!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning ladies...

Three words...TIRED, TIRED & SORE!! Ugh. And, tonight I have my second to last prepared childbirth class...which by the way, I have found a HUGE waste of money. I haven't learned anything new and exciting and in speaking with others in the class, they sort of feel the same way. Oh well.

Morning to all you mommies who popped in. Michelle, I PM'd you.

Barbi ~ Crossing all my fingers and toes for you that this is a healthy pregnancy. Glad you are feeling optimistic!! Keep positive thoughts!!

Jenn ~ Eww...sorry about DD. Hope you can maybe figure out where she got it. What kind of doggies do you have?

Morning Ladies,

Well I have been complaining lately that it is hot and that is over with! Highs in the 70's for the next week! I kicked butt yesterday getting all of the things done that I avoided while it was hot.

Grace-Good to see you!

Luna-Laughted at your advice yesterday of using a condom! DH and I did the deed about six hours before my water broke with DS. I didn't worry too much about the remnents because by the time I got to the hospital everything was probably washed out.

Jenn-Have you talked to your daycare provider? Ask if anyone else got/has it and make them aware that your DD has it. I got is last year 5 days after visiting my eye doctor to be fitted for my contacts. My DS caught it from me. It is very contagious(sp?). Wash your bedding often! The eyedrops are no fun but will clear it up quickly.

Daisy-Good to hear you are doing great. Like Amy said, keep positive thoughts.

Amy-Sorry you are tired and sore. You are not the only person who has been disappointed by their birthing class.

I loved our Graco Snugride carseat (still have it) and used the base all the time! I will have to dig it out and check when it expires to see if I can use it with this baby.

Hi to everyone else. Have a great day!

Morning everyone. Sorry I haven't had a chance to read previous posts yet, so I'm still not up to par. So to anyone I individual, sorry if I don't use your "real" names!

jeepifer - Pinkeye can take up to 5 days to show signs, I believe. My youngest dd had it last year and oldest had it in Jan or Feb. I would definitely check with your day care, see if it's going around and also to let them know so they can update the other parents. Not a fun time!

Daisy - I don't know all the circumstances of your situation, but from what I can gather, the symptoms are a good sign! How are you finding the progesterone suppositories? My girlfriend has started taking them, but I haven't talked to her in a few days to know how she is reacting to them.

Amy - I hear you about the childbirth classes, I didn't even bother this time. I figure I've done this before, and i don't think I've forgotten that much in 4 years! I have better things to do with my time, like getting ready for baby!

Trailboss - Since you're getting rid of the hot weather, I'll take it up here! We had about 2 weeks of nice hot summer weather (not that I enjoyed it, but everyone else did!) and it's been cold, rainy and miserable since! They even had a frost warning out last night, can you believe it? We never got any, but even to hear about a frost warning is depressing in July!

Hope everyone has a great day, I'm working again today and hoping for a busier time than yesterday. It could be a long 12 hours!

Dal ~ Glad you came in and joined us!! Not much time left for you either! Hope your day goes quickly...

Jackie ~ Eww...it has been really hot here too. Today is supposed to feel well over 100 and HUMID. But, starting tomorrow, into the weekend it is supposed to be 70's and dry!! Whew...am I glad for that!

Got room for one more?

I was a part of the original pregnancy board when I was pregnant with my daughter (with Sarah, Lauren & Jen) so I know some of you. Got my BFP yesterday after 6 months of trying. EDD is April 4, 2006! I'm bouncing off the walls I'm SO excited!

And YES, we ALWAYS used the base for the Graco carseat, it's much more secure that way and so easy to not have to deal with the seatbelt getting in and out each time.

AMY I've been following your pregnancy since the beginning, you're getting SO close! The last weeks are the hardest. Hang in there.

Good morning, Luna, Michelle, Pauline, Dar, Martha, Jenn, Barbi, Amy, Jackie, Dal & Welcome Stacy! I thought I posted a note as well last night. (In addition to starting the thread) Don't know what happened it it. Oh well!

I must be in full-on nesting mode. I can't seem to find enough time to do everything that I think of to do. I have started to keep a list and check things off, which helps. But, still I think of more things all the time to add to the list. Trying to manage this remodel & getting ready for the baby, not to mention my real estate career, is kind of crazy.

Another thing that has been keeping from LCF is that my DH has decided that he is sick of this on-line video game that he was playing since last September, "World of Warcraft". Can anyone else relate? He has had a lot more time to spend with me, which is very nice. The video game playing didn't bother me that much, believe it or not. I was just hoping that he would tire of it by the time the baby got here.

We had a nice weekend away at San Juan Island, near Roche Harbour (for Kaillean's benefit). We had fabulous weather. We stayed at a friend's family's home, which was right on the water. The place is currently on the market for almost $3 million. The price is almost entirely because it is 300 feet of waterfront property. The house was just a little old shack, but nice enough. We did a little too much walking for me. Boy, my feet are starting to get HUGE!

Amy, sorry to hear that you're so uncomfortable. This is a miserable time of the year to be at the end of your pregnancy. I can relate a little bit. It is really hot here too & miserable for me to be carrying around the extra weight. I am getting to the point where I don't care as much how I look, as long as I am as comfortable as possible. Hang in there at work. The more time you can stand it, the more time you will have with Sara when she arrives.

BBL!

Dal-Hi! Frost warnings is July-that stinks. I can remember several 4th of July celebrations here that have been snowed out! Hope your weather improves soon. How has your pregnancy been?

Stacy- and Congratulations!

Grace-Will your remodel be done by the time your little boy arrives? Glad you had a good trip!

Today I am feeling "things" in my lower abdomen that make me wonder if it is the baby. I have to keep reminding myself that 14 weeks is way to early to start feeling the baby (right?).

Hi girls!

Dal and Stacy!

Grace, it's good to see you back. Sorry you've been so busy. I can't imagine having to deal with a remodel right now! I can't remember what you're doing -- converting your garage into something right? Glad you had a good weekend away!

I'm so anxious to go on holidays now. Our boat partners have extended their holiday a week, so we aren't leaving until Aug 6 or so. It's good in a way because I have a chance to get more work done, but bad because I so want to be doing NOTHING!

I had the dismal experience of going to try on maternity bathing suits yesterday. I did not buy one. I'm bummed out by how flabby I've gotten -- can't blame baby for that, just pure laziness! I've been slacking a bit with my food, not going crazy, but eating more bread and stuff than I should be. And not nearly enough exercise. I'm usually really active on our holidays swimming and walking and stuff, so hopefully that will help.

Yeah on feeling sick, Daisy! Never thought I'd be saying that to anyone! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. I bet you're wishing the days would go by faster!

Too bad about your childbirth classes, Amy. You guys should provide the hospital with some feedback, so they can make future sessions better. Maybe you can even get a credit for another type of class, like breastfeeding or infant care. They should know about it if you're not learning anything new or useful. You have to have your baby before I go on holidays so I can see pics!

Sorry DD has pinkeye Jenn. How long does it normally take to clear up?

Well I suppose I better get back to work.

Hi to everybody else I missed. Sorry I haven't been very good with personals lately, but I'm trying to keep up with all the news.

Jackie, hopefully our remodel will be done by the time the little guy arrives, especially since this will involve having no kitchen for at least a couple of weeks, possibly longer. Our contractor is a friend of ours and he is trying to make this as easy as possible on us. The family room part is getting drywalled today. (We are converting a one-car attached garage to a family room and attaching it to our kitchen, creating a little eating nook in between.) We just ordered the cabinets & appliances for the kitchen remodel this week, both will take about 4 weeks to arrive. We still need to pick flooring for the whole project. DH and I just can't seem to agree on a few things. We have until the end of the week to finalize the cabinets, which we still want to make changes to. I have also been working on finalizing the financing. I think that part is finally taken care of....but, it was kind of painful. This is a very stressful time for me. But, I am not complaining. I feel very fortunate to be able to do this whole project.

As far as feeling "things" in your lower belly. You are probably feeling the baby. I was definitely feeling him move at 16 weeks. Now he is moving so much that he is waking me up at night and I find myself gasping occasionally, mid-sentence because he kicks so hard!

Thanks for all the welcome backs! I forgot how much I enjoyed chatting with other expecting mommies in here! To those who asked, my pregnancy is going great, I had very little neausea in the beginning, and until the past few weeks had no heartburn whatsoever. With both my dd's I suffered from about 3 months on! I am working out of town this summer, and staying with my in-laws when I am here, so I'm feeling a bit blue since I miss home, the kids miss daddy and so do I! But only 5 weeks of this left and I can be home again. I'm only an hour away but the cost of gasoline these days is just not worth going home everynight!

Amy, this day has been so incredibly long! I work as a 911 and fire dispatcher, and it's rainy and cold in most of the province, so there's not much to do! Not that I wish for fires, but a little action would be nice!

Stacy - congrats on your pregnancy! How have you been feeling so far?

Jackie - I wouldn't doubt that what you're feeling is baby. A lot of people start feeling the "quickening" around 14 weeks. Before you know it, there will be no doubt in your mind what you're feeling! (As I say that, I get a foot in the ribs lol!)

Kaillean - I tried on bathing suits the other day, talk about depressing! I was so proud since all of my old maternity clothes were way too big on me. I had never needed a maternity bathing suit before, so I was kind of excited to go looking. Ugh, whoever said pregnant woman are beautiful never saw me in a maternity bathing suit! I still bought it, but I also bought a big tank top to go over it lol!

I'm bored today so I'll probably be back later! Have a good one!

Hi Ladies!
I've beem lurking on this board for months now, and figure it's probably time to introduce myself. Basic info Kaci, 23, Dh is Jeb, 26, married nearly 3 years, pregnant with first and probably only child EDD 3/14/06. I am suffering from the most horrible morning sickness and spend most of my days in bed reading and surfing the 'net. I am under the care of the same midwife who delivered me, which I'm super excited about.
I can't wait to get to know you all better!
Grace- at my house it's called WarCrack, hubby is only allowed to play it at his parents house now. I had to ban it!
Kaci

Kaillean-Sorry about the bathing suits. I'm sure you are being too hard on yourself.

Dal-It must to tough to be away for your kids. How much is gas in Canada? Aside from your boredom, I'd say a slow day is a good thing. I can only image some of the calls you get.

Barbi-Enjoy your nap!

Kaci- That is very cool about your midwife. Hopefully your MS eases up soon. Glad to have you here!
