Good morning!
Nothing new to report here. My scale is stuck on a certain number and I'd love to see it move in the right direction. Emily is still asleep so I'd better get all the housework done before she wakes up. BBL! |

Hey, Cyn! The board was a bit slow yesterday because the server was having hiccups all day. It was frustrating!
Menu today: B- deviled egg, bacon L- leftover pork rib, celery w/ cream cheese S if needed- cheese or deviled egg D- no clue since I'm working late and they'll order out ![]() Not much new to report since last night, so I don't have much to say. Just wondering if anyone else was interested in those Gerber coupons? |

B- String Cheese (1 carb)
L- LC Chicken Nuggets with Dipping Sauce (3 carbs) D- Steak with Spring Salad (5 carbs) I've had a couple days above 20 carbs, so I'm going to try to keep the next couple days as low as possible without starving myself. Still working on sending out Speaker Packets for our annual company convention today...so I'll be in and out. |

Dar- I hope you don't think my post on the Playground thread was saying formula is bad (I have no problems with formula at all).... when I said the thing about Hunter only getting sick once I also put that he also isn't in daycare. I attribute not being in daycare to one of the main reason's I don't have illnesses.
I will say that I am not a clean freak either, so what germs he doesn't get a a daycare, he picks up other places.... |

No, not at all. I'm sure if I were successful at BF'ing, I'd have a different stance. But I just wanted Tammara to know that breastmilk is not a cure-all, and that formula is a perfectly fine substitute. And she shouldn't be pressured either way. There are so many pressures now to breastfeed, that when it fails, it can be very depressing and heartbreaking. If someone told me beforehand that "yes, breastfeeding is wonderful, but formula is okay, too", I may not have been so down about it. And I felt so pressured into continuing when I just didn't feel right with it.

Hi Mommies!
Only have a minute. Just came home from grocery shopping. Definitely not my day! The chicken farmer (the ONLY guy that supplies organic chickens to all of Sweden, aparently) is on vacation, and the weather has been too hot (60F right now) to transport veal. WTH!? Dar, I am so thinking about you and Rob. I read that breastfeeding thread--as someone who failed at BFing, I was pretty offended by that one remark that said formula was just feeding... Logan fared the shot pretty well. He went w/o eating from 10:45-4:00 with two cries in the night. I hope we're getting close to sleeping through the night. That will be such a luxury! I'll try to check back later. |

Okay, I just added a ETA to point out that Hunter did have formula only for a month before we put him on whole milk.
I think they are actually being civil right now....we'll have to see how long it lasts. |

here, here! Good morning mommies- wasn't around yesterday but did do a little lurking. The board was being a PITA. I am also dealing with my own weight issues the last few weeks. Still gaining and losing the same 5 lbs I have decided to step up the intensity of my workouts and cut my calories even lower, plus avoid any "white" foods. Trying to stick to lean meats, fruits and veggies, lots of water. I need to get to goal soon, it's depressing. Just wanted to say hi and I am going to try to participate today, when the bosses aren't looking over my shoulder Got a few new pics- bb in a minute. Last edited by TRACY2 : 07-26-2005 at 07:09 AM. |

Tracy- Do you have anything on the bottom of the tub? Hunter loves his bath in the big boy tub, but he is always moving around and trying to stand, etc. I wish I could use the bubble stuff, but we can't because he breaks out.

Dar- yep she is just....growing too fast
I wanna sit on her to stop it And yeah, the pool- huge pita from the hurricane, we actually have an algae problem right now and noone can swim. 7 gallons of chlorine and shock we put in last night. Otherwise, it's not too terribly bad. It really is worth it considering how much we use it and DH cleans it most of the time. Melissa- we have a non slip pad in the bottom. |

Quick pop in! I have 2 'to die for' products that those of you on a low-fat/low-cal diet must try!! One is Yoplait Frozen Yogurt breakfast bars, found in the frozen breakfast section. SUPER GOOD!! They look like those strawberry shortcake bars that have the crunchies on them!! Mmh mmh mmh!!!!! The 2nd is Edy's Light Drumstick Sundae ice cream. Absolutely awesome!!!
We are adopting a new dog this week - a 1.5 year old male beagle named Kraven. We are changing his name to Emmitt (Dallas Cowboys) and can't wait until Thursday when he comes home!! |

Ah, so I'm not the only one. I will only wear one if I have to, like we're going to the beach or something. But it's so uncomfortable. They make you puke?!
I'm seriously getting bored waiting on a spreadsheet from my boss so I can start my work. I have NOTHING else to do until he gets this to me. I guess I could start getting my new office cleared out so I can move in.... but that means getting off my tush. ![]() |

QOTD: Hunter seems to think that everything should be on the floor. He empties all of our bookcases, DVD's, etc. How do we get him to stop doing it, or is this just a phase?

Hi Lauren,
wow you are going for a full house aren't you? Congrats! Ahhh, I saw the performance of all time last night. It was superb, very dramatic and eye catching ( )my spirited baby girl decided to attempt to scale a coffee table in the LR last night. I gently pulled her down and said no-no. You will get hurt. She began to scream, so daddy pointed a finger and sternly said, NO-NO Katie. I kid you not, my child walked about 4 steps, fell into the floor, mouth wide open for about 10 seconds (nothing coming out) eyes wide open, arms wide open, rolled onto her back, kicked the floor and let out a scream that would curl wallpaper. (no tears, mind you) The dog ran off wimpering, my older two just stared, daddy's mouth was hanging wide open, I thought she had a medical condition of some kind. I went over, inspected her thoroughly, realized she was having a tantrum of the century, put her back down gently and then just looked at her with my arms crossed until the raging stopped. All over being told not to climb on the coffee table. I am sure I will be institionalized before we are out of the terrible 2's. ETA- Hi Wendy!! Happy b-day to Madison!! ![]() Last edited by TRACY2 : 07-26-2005 at 07:50 AM. |
