~*~*~*~Losin' the Baby Fat - Another Weekend Edition ~*~*~*~

Hope you mommies all have good weekends!!!

I'll have to post a menu later as we are going to Andrew's aunts for a BBQ (yes, I will stay on plan!) around lunchtime.

Other than that, I'm just trying to still process the end of the Harry Potter Book........not going to say anything else.

Morning Mommies!!!

Scale showed 272 this morn...so at least it's finally budging in the right direction LOL. Maybe that will keep me away from the movie popcorn this afternoon! We're taking PJ to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory....and it will be Elana's first movie adventure.

Have a great picnic Melissa!!

OH I don't dare say I'm looking forward to it LOL. I'm hoping the motion on the screen will keep her occuppied. OR, perhaps she'll nap seeing she had a fitful night sleeping on me on the couch last night. Or...one of us will walk the aisle with her or step outside. We're going early to get a spot where we can put her stroller and be close to the door.

*fingers crossed* this isn't the worst decision I've ever made LOL. But Knowles usually stays home with her so I can take PJ and I want him involved in this family so we're gonna try it.

Chelle, if you get a chance to watch the movie, let me know how it is! I'm trying to decide if I want to see it. Alison's been to one movie, when she was a few weeks old, and slept through it.

Did you know that Muvico has a thing on Tuesdays where you can take a baby under 12 months to the movie? They show new releases, too. The lights are turned up, the volume is turned down, etc. Rob's been thinking about going. For instance, this past week they showed Wedding Crashers. He would have gone had he not seen it Sunday (my really bad day when he was gone ALL day ).

Oh! And being the dork I am, I looked at my shoes last night. I no longer use the 600's. For some reason they didn't look quite right. I used to wear them. Now I wear these:

Rob calls them my cancer shoes because they have a pink ribbon on them. They are also $50. They are walking shoes, not cross trainers. Very cushy. (is that a word?)

Well, I've cleaned the toilet, swiffered the floors, taken out trash, started some laundry... all waiting for Alison because I thought she was going to wake up. She was fussing at 8, but fell back to sleep. Now the dogs are barking and growling at each other while they play, so I imagine they'll wake her up soon.

And there's no food to eat! I had a piece of string cheese, but the peanut butter is calling my name. The only other food that I could eat is some lc muffins or pancakes if I make them.. but they're not that low carb, even though they are Atkins.

Dar- If I make the LC Atkins Muffins, I like the Lemon Poppysead the best. We have some of the Cranberry Nut ones and for some reason that batch tastes funny. Speaking of, I should make up a package and freeze them since we are all out. Hmmm, maybe I should make another cheesecake also..Hunter loves them.

On the shoe front- I got a pair of Champions from PayLess and believe it or not, they are the best pair of sneaks I have ever had! They only cost $25.00! I had a pair of Reeboks that I had paid $60.00 for in the outlet mall down the road from us and they didn't last that long.

LOL, Melissa. I have some of the lemon poppyseed mix, but have never made them. Oh! I have no eggs!!! WAAAHHHHHH! Oh, well... perhaps a trip to the store when Rob wakes up. We're definitely not mowing this morning, it is hot as he!! out there.

I plan to make a cheesecake this week for my co-workers for bid day. I'm going to try the white chocolate - pumpkin. Do you think white chocolate davinci's would be too much, in addition to the white chocolate? (the recipe calls for some white chocolate squares)

They just showed a girl on OLN (at Tour de France) and she's wearing a Livestrong bracelet AND a Harry Potter bracelet! It's green, but I couldn't see what it said other than "2005".

Rob joked that he's contemplating getting a Livestrong bracelet. He would never wear one, though.

Dar- I'm not sure if it would be too much. I personally hate white chocolate....I brought in a LC Cheesecake to work and they all loved it...after they were raving about it I told them it was LC...and they still went back for 2nds! But, I'm guessing yours is not LC.

Well I woke up last night to spotting again.

I just want the spotting to go away. I did have a vaginal ultrasound so maybe that is why I spotted. that would make more sense to me than anything else. I know my levels are high..but I ddnt get the rhogam shot and now I am worried that my blood may attack the babies blood. So i am going to call the doctor today and see if I can just schedule the rhogam for Monday. That way I would feel more secure that the baby will be fine.

man five more weeks to go until I am out of the first trimester HELL...

I will be so glad when that 12 week mark hits. I just dont know how much more I can take. I a nervous wreck everytime I go to the restroom.

I was so leary about having two Rhogam shots becuase of the mercury in the shots...and that is why they did the ultrasound. To make sure I wasnt bleeding from my uterus..but I wont know anything until next week..and I am afraid it may be too late by then to get the shot.

GEESH!!!! I really didnt want to wake up to this today.

Tiffany-If they irritated your cervix during the vag ultrasound they it could be just bleeding from the cervix which happens during pregnancy because the blood vessels there are engorged. The times that I spotted when pg with Sophie were for that reason. (sex irritating the cervix, hence bleeding ) Maybe that's it??

That is what I asked the doctor..but she said something that worried me. She said first that I am measuring only 5 weeks 5 days...according my ultrasound on Thursday and also that they couldnt see the fetal pole. So right now she doest seemed concerned w/ the spotting...but they want to make sure the baby is growing and I will have another ultrasound next week. I am just a basketcase right now.

Hey girlies!

Well, we make the long drive to pick up the Soccer Mom Van - LOL! FIL keeps calling it a stationwagon, but my Matrix was more a stationwagon than this is!!! *snort*

BTW - He keeps telling Hank that the dark blue will always look dirty... My old Saturn was dark blue, and it only looked dirty when I didn't wash it... (DUH! LOL!) Maybe I'm disremembering though... Anyone else have dark or black vehicles? MIL says it's "real purty" though.

Poor Hank... I attacked him in my sleep. While I might be terrified of sex, I guess that didn't stop me while I was sleepin'... LMAO!

TIFF - I'll keep you and the little bean in my prayers, hon. We all know you did well last time

MELISSA - Have a good time @ the BBQ!

HELLO HOLLY AND VANESSA!

*sigh* I want one of these - http://www.hotslings.com - I already have a Maya wrap, so I can't justify it, but I think I might get it anyway. I'll just sell my Maya wrap.

Hey gals. Trying to catch up from Friday.

Woo hoo Vanessa, house deal sounds great. I can't believe you can get all that for $900!! I have to move to Wyoming! Here that would be $1700 a mo easy. School taxes alone for us are $3900 this year. --shudder--

Melissa- My son had eczema. We used aveeno creamy bath wash or an eczema wash on him and basically only washed his head, face, hands and tushie... the rest got a water bath or runoff from the other places. We used aveeno lotion on him. SLATHERED him in it. He had a prescription cream. Alyssa had some spots and we use Protopic RX on her. My kids only get a bath every other day unless they are sweaty or dirty. Their skin is just too sensitive. I also make my own soap and make them a castille baby soap that is mild with lavender essential oil.

OMG did you guys see that J&J has a baby cologne out now? I almost bought it but then thought...would I be a bad mom for putting baby smell on my baby?

Martha- do you have any clue when you can come back and join us in the US for good?

Andrew-if you are lurking I read what you said about Melissa on Friday ( the post with the peppers ) You sound like a great DH!!

Cheryl- hope things are getting better and you are getting some rest. My daughter used to wake up every hour on the hour!

Jefinner- Love the sticker! You didn't marry their King...I DID!!! DH put a Ryan Newman sticker on my Pacifica last year. Glad we traded it. It didn't match. LOL Hey do you guys like Velvet Revolver?

Chelle- Woo hooo on the getting hit on!

Mandy- What kind of pump do you have? Sometimes the pieces are hard to get apart but do come apart. You can get a very thin bottle brush type thing too. You can boil the parts instead of the sterilizing bags too. Hope Spencer is letting you get a bit more rest. Things will get better soon. Spencer's scars will fade pretty well. My friend had heart surgery as a baby and she has no scars at all anymore! He is such a cutie!

My DH is a nerd to gals. He has to have white only sneaks too! Hard to find for guys anymore but NB does have them. We wore white keds in H.S. and we went out in the driveway when they were new and used the dust from the gravel to make them dirty! You couldn't have bright white shoes!

I did that percentile calculator and it didn't match what the nurse said at Luke's appt on Monday. Anyone else find it was off? Maybe I didn't do something right.

Love the avi Tiffany!

Can someone fill me in on the preggo thread thing too? Is this the girl we've all been talking to?

Lauren- you Dermatologist deserves bad acne for the rest of her life!!

Darlene- My daughter had that floatie too, we got it at Walmart for $9.00 I was checking out one step ahead and they have alot of cool summer stuff on sale! You can buy a swim diaper from them. They are fabric and hold in the poop...not pee too well, but chlorine kills that. That is the point of a swim diaper..to keep the poop out of the water.

Okay, I caught up on Friday's thread...Now let me read today's!!!

Okay, did that quick! You guys aren't chatty today! I'm the only one that is really here that much on Saturdays

Vanessa- NO DQ. I told DH about it and he is supposed to ask the kids if I took them to DQ and get mad at me if I did. LOL I did good yesterday too.

Friday
late bfast/lunch- burger patty, bacon, cheese, broccoli, bleu cheese dressing, diet coke

snack- 2 deviled egg halves

dinner-prime rib, steamed veggies, diet coke

snack- 2 string cheeses

Not enough water, too much diet coke and cheese but NO DQ!!!

Today

B- 2 eggs bacon
L- leftover prime rib and deviled eggs

Luke had an explosive poop on me last night! I went to change his poopy diaper and then he farted and little curds of poop went all over me! My face, my arm, my shirt. ICKY. THEN...this morning the dog pooped in his crate. Big ol' stanky load of Rotweiller poop. THAT was nastier...waaay nastier. DH didn't let him out for long enough at 6am and I didn't come downstairs until 9:30...he must have had to go all night but didn't.

I'm having problems fighting cravings today. If I had brown sugar I would sooooo have to eat a spoon of it!

Okay BBL

Tiffany-- I would be a basketcase too but maybe things just aren't showing up because it's so early?? I'm really hoping things turn out OK for you. I'm a little nervous myself about my u/s on Wednesday. Isn't it amazing how quickly you get attached?

Hi Vanessa--Oh, I never mentioned...your hair looks cute!

Hi Jen and everyone else. DH is about to get off of work (dang realtors work all weekend ) so we're going to grab Chinese and then go to the bookstore. Yay!
