Okay this story breaks my heart
Fla. Man Killed Toddler For Wetting Pants, Police Say Man Allegedly Took Girlfriend's Son To Motel 6 UPDATED: 6:47 am EDT July 12, 2005 LAKE WORTH, Fla. -- A Lake Worth, Fla., man admits to killing his girlfriend's 3-year-old son because he accidentally wet his pants. At first, Walfrido Pina told police the child slipped in the tub, and he let him languish for five hours before the mother insisted they go to the hospital. Then, police said, he confessed to shaking the boy. Now, following an autopsy, detectives said it's clear the boy was also severely beaten. Pina admitted to detectives that instead of taking his girlfriend's son, Elias, to daycare, he brought the child to a Motel 6 and killed him, West Palm Beach, Fla., television station WPBF reported. Elias' mother, Tabitha Geronimo, is horrified at her son's death. Police said Geronima bounced motel to motel, but seemed to take excellent care of her boy. Detectives said Pina was originally taking Elias to his mother's house to play with his own son, but it's unclear why they never made it. He had been dating Elia's mother only five months. Vanessa- So happy you are back and safe! I missed you very very very much!!
Dawn- I have tons of pics but I have brought the connector cable to work today and yesterday so I can load them on my computer but I brought the wrong cable each time. I might go home on my lunch break and try to find the one to my camera, other than that I will post them tomorrow!!! Man I have some great pics too! Chelle- So sorry about Elana and the ear infection Emily- LOVED THE PICS yesterday!! Your kiddos are so so cute!!! Tracy- Missing you!! Dar- I got the coupons yesterday...and just in time,...had to buy Lexi some pampers yesterday....THANKS A BUNCH!!!! Jen- Thanks for the links!! Okay ladies question, how young is too young to start beginning the potty? Lexi ALWAYS takes off her pamper and she has become fascinated with the bathroom toilet. She will go up to it and say pee. If I tell her to get me a pamper she will and say pee pee. I'm wondering if I should start to introduce it. Just too see what she will do.... Lexi only has 6 teeth I wonder if this is normal, because the book says she should have at least 10??? Anyways she is way above on alot of other things. The child is a talker..everything is "waa tat" meaning whats that. When you tell her she repeats EVERYTHING...or at least attempts to... I think she gets that from her momma! Oh and about the car seat thing...Lexi was out of her infant one at around 6-7 months too..still backwards but her weight and height, she had outgrew the darn thing.... Cynthia |

Hi, girls, just a quick hello before I start work.
Yesterday's stats: 1421 cals, 15 net carbs Today's menu: B- hb egg, green tea S- string cheese L- deli chicken, romaine, swiss, mayo roll-ups S- celery w/ cream cheese D- pork, salad S- BG blueberry cheesecake Totals: 1400 cals, 13 net carbs Hopefully it won't rain tonight so I can get in dog agility class. But, it doesn't look good. And I have a feeling TOM is coming. It is due this week, and I'm STARVING, even after having breakfast. Couple QOTD from me: - A friend of mine, who has a baby 5 weeks older than Alison, invited me to visit her on Sunday. Her baby is recovering from an ear infection. Will it be okay to visit? - I'm considering a carb-up/free-for-all/whatever you want to call it on Saturday. I'm justifying it by the fact that it's my birthday and I'm a bit tired right now of counting calories (even though it's working) and I'm stressed and craving things (this could be due to TOM or just plain stress from everything). Anyone who's done carb-up days.. are they worth it? Do you easily get back into the right frame of mind, or does it screw you up more? Gotta run, BBL! |

Dar- We do a free day a month and it hasn't really effected us. Andrew did some research and read that it is actually a boost to your metabolism. I wouldn't go hog wild, but you can enjoy yourself. (But, beware, the scale will go up because you will hold on to the glocogen, but you will loose the "water weight" fast) As for the ear infection, I don't think they are contagious are they?
Cyn- Hello!!! I don't know about the potty seat, but sounds like you might want to introduce it!!! Dawn- OMG Eli is getting so cute!, Welcome back, Congratulations!!!!!!!!! Well, it is back to induction for me today....I'm sure my body is just going to LOVE me. We had an absolutely great time this weekend!!!! I ate way to many steamed clams, etc. B- LC Poppysead Muffin (3 carbs) L- Salad (? carbs) D- ? Morning Girls!
Scale's still above siggie today, 206.8. Didn't eat much yesterday, no breakfast, lunch was tuna, dinner was a salad. Who knows what's going on...Dar~ My mouth waters every time I see you mention that cheesecake. I'm going to have to make one for DH's birthday. Cynthia~ Ugh, that story is awful. I have never understood how someone can hurt a child. On the potty issue, the ped told us at Mac's 12 month visit to buy a little potty & keep it in the bathroom but not to push the issue. She said it was for her to get used to the idea & see if she was interested. Well, Mac was interested all right, she used it as a step-stool until she was 2 years old! Sounds like Lexi's getting ready, you lucky girl! I do remember my poor child had 4 teeth come in at once, that was no fun at all. Melissa~ Great pictures! Looks like you guys had a really fun weekend! QOTD~ I'm honestly not sure if an ear infection is contagious or not? Was she on antibiotics? On the Carb-Free-For-All, I can see both sides of the issue. I can see where it could totally derail you (the general "you") and then I can also see the possibility where it would make you even more resolved to get back on track quickly. I really think it depends on the frame of mind that you go in with. If you go in knowing what you're doing & have a set time-frame, and are totally committed to getting right back on track, then why not? Also, remember that you'll probably see a large initial gain & be prepared to down extra water. Now, having said all of that, I've been tossing around the idea of a cheat this weekend for DH's birthday dinner, but I'm kind of leaving the option open for myself depending on where we go. ![]() And from the files of "The Hits Just Keep On Coming..." my DH will be in the field from tomorrow until Friday, so he won't even be here for his birthday on Thursday..... ![]() |

Good Morning!!!
DAWN- Congratulations girl!!!!! Can't believe how many of you are getting preggo!!! Welcome back you were missed!!! Vanessa- Welcome back too!!! Wondering if you moved away or somethin' Chelle- Glad you got Elana checked out soon enough....hope it clears up fast. Emily- Pictures from yesterday were very cute!!!! Cyn- Gosh if Lexie is showing interest go for it, have her play with it she what she does.....defineatly wouldn't hurt!! Waiting patiently for pictures!!!Dar- Has your friends baby been on antibiotics to clear the ear infection up??? As long as they have been on medication for 24 hours I would think it is safe........and good question, I don't know if they are contagious...hmmmmmm. Carb fest......I wouldn't trust myself to get back on track, but that is just me........sounds good and it might give your body a little shock to get back into it, you might see a bigger loss right at first!! Melissa- Love the pictures, Hunter looks like he was having a blast...... Well, gotta go figure out what part of my list to start on.......scale is staying the same. Ended up going to the Y yesterday, did 2.5 miles on the Eliptical trainer and then worked my legs!! So that was good, that I actually made it there. Think I might take the kids swimming later today....hope to check in later, hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Melissa~ He's still scheduled to deploy for 18 months in November. He was also scheduled to be away in training from mid-August until October. Yesterday, we found out he'll be leaving next week for additional training & will get back just in time to leave again in August. Then last night they decided they're going to be in the field from Wed to Fri this week.

Actually, thinking about my birthday, I can't help but think that I'd love to go to the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal for their buffet breakfast (the biggest sausage links you've ever seen!), then I'm still craving a cobb salad from the Brown Derby at Disney. Both low carb, but not low calories.
And maybe some cookies for dessert! So, it wouldn't be all bad! ![]() |

Good morning!! I'm down 2 lbs today, but still have 1 more to go to get back to where I was on Friday.
Today is cardio day. B- Waffle, pb, sf syrup, turkey bacon S- BFL Bar L- Tuna on wheat, ff yogurt S- Applesauce, lf string cheese D- Turkey goulash S- Skinny cow Mason starts back on shift work today, so he'll be doing swing shift again. The good news is that he gets weekends off this time around. It's hard not having him at night. I'm wondering how I'll sleep tonight until he gets home. I watched the movie "Saw" last night and totally freaked myself out. ![]() Cyn: That story is awful. Sounds like Lexi is showing genuine interest, I don't think it would be a problem at all to start PT now.Dar: I didn't realize your b-day was this Saturday! Mine is on Friday! Happy Birthday! I'm not sure how this weekend will go eating wise either, there are several people that have stuff planned for me... As for the ear infection, they are not contagious at all, so I wouldn't worry about taking her over. ![]() Melissa: Great pictures!! Looks like all of you guys were having a great time! Emily: I'm sorry things are so stressful. ![]() Lauren: Hi! for +++!!Beth: Good job on the workout!! |

Morning ladies... Well, morning sickness is definitely starting to hit me. I don't get pukey, but just super crampy and really uncomfortable. Oh well... beautiful baby is well worth it! It is so hard not telling people at work the news. We've told almost all our immediate family, and Jason wants to tell friends this weekend, as we'll be camping with all of them. It's still so early, but we're very impatient!
Cyn... Ok, I'm waiting for all these pictures!! On the potty issue, I just ordered one off of ebay on Friday.. I'll have to get the link, it's hilarious! It has a magazine and tp holder!! I'd get one, and just see what she does with it! Can't hurt! Dar... I would have a free day for your birthday, but I have no will power! (I did for mine!). Ear infections aren't contagious... you should be fine! When do you find out more about Rob? Melissa... Oh, those are great pictures!! Eli loves the water, too. We have a float that's a little blue car with a horn and windshield that he just loves. Happy belated birthday!! Emily... MAC!!!!! Have a great day with your big girl.. and enjoy Chuck E Cheese!! Bummer about DH being gone on his bday... Beth... Thanks!! Those pics are so cute.. especially the one of the two of the kids close up. Framer!! Lauren... Thanks for the congrats! I'm crossing my fingers for a positive for you by the end of the week! I had to wait till a week after my TOM was due for a stinkin' positive... talk about stressin'! Sarah... Happy early birthday woman!! Have you up'd your weights a lot since you started BFL?
