*~*~*~Losin' The Baby Fat - Magnificent Monday~*~*~

Hola girlies...

I'm glad that we've heard from all of our Florida mommies!

CHELSEA - How are you hon!?!?

Hank is talking about getting a new digital camera! I'm really surprised, because he likes his old Canon Rebel with all the lens attachments... Thing is... I don't feel comfortable working it, even though it's a near professional camera. I just want a better digicam than I have. I don't like mine, and he had me start researching them this weekend. I wanted to go for a 5MP Fuji Finepix, but he's telling me we'll get the 6MP... YAY! Both got great ratings.

To show you how crummy my camera is... Here are a few pictures from this weekend that could've been good... LOL!

Anna trying to give Ezra a pacifier...

My smiley boy!

Ezra and Little Big Sis... Forgive the first pic... I don't pick Anna's toys up but twice a day... Once during her nap, and when she goes to bed... Otherwise, it's just an exercise in futility...

I pledge allegiance...

I didn't even have time to buckle him before he started fussing... But, we're making progress... He actually likes the swing a little sometimes... Okay... Rarely, but still... Once and a while, he does... LOL!

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was pretty decent. The weather was great—sunny and 80-90F—but there’s no AC here…it’s only a few days a year, though.

Chelle, dust off and right back on the wagon. Tell me again how crappy you felt. I am feeling like I’m about to stumble—especially because hubby keeps telling me to give myself a break and eat whatever I want. He just doesn’t understand how hard it is for me to stop once I start!

Audery, Logan has had difficulty with constipation too. I’ve added this weird goat butter to his bottles, and it works, but I’m pretty sure you won’t find it in the US. I think it’s basically milk with the fat and protein removed, butter, sugar and iron. I’m trying to get him off it, though. I’ve also heard a little sugar water can do the trick too. Good luck, it’s awful to see your little sweetie in pain…

Tracy, I hope you weathered the storm, I heard it was milder than expected.

Jen, that was a good movie! We watched 3 this weekend—The Human Stain (pretty good), Man on Fire (very good), and Collateral (not so good).

Dar, cute pictures! I love the third one. What’s the difference in the UK HP? That’s probably the one I’ll end up with. I’m excited for it too!

Jefinner, we really need a new digital camera—not to mention a camcorder. We’re waiting for the 2nd generation of camcorders that go directly onto DVD *shrug* who knows how old Logan will be then. Any recommendations for a camera? (I need it dumbed down haha)

So, our travel plans are ever expanding making me nervous. Mid September we’re going to Brekenridge for 10 days (hubby has a conference), then 10 days in Manhattan/CT, then a week here. I don’t know if Logan will have outgrown his Snug Ride car seat by then—and how to deal with that. I think we’ll have a full kitchen in CO, but how does one deal with bottles in a hotel? And, I don’t even want to think about the laundry situation…do I need like 100 burp cloths?! LOL So, given that long trip, I really think I want to cancel Bordeaux. Hubby still wants to go, but we’d get home only to turn around in 10-14 days! It just seems like too much to me…what does everyone think?

Hi to everyone else!

Cute pics Jen!!

I'm so glad Tracy and her family are ok!!!

Hope we hear from Chelsea and Vanessa soon, miss them.

All's well here, weight is up a few lbs. from this weekends indescretion. Love how I sabotage myself when I'm doing well

We have to get Elana her new carseat this week...having a bit of a dilemma. We thought we'd found one we wanted, then yesterday found a 3-in-1 convertable booster that is $150 but would keep us from having to buy a booster later. Arrgggg still deciding on if we should just spend that money instead of buying a convertable now then a booster later.

Have a great day mommies...I need to hop in shower but I'm having a bit of a dizzy moment, hoping it's lack of sleep.

DO NOT DO IT!! Seriously....I STILL feel like crap physically. I have drank probably a million gallons of water and I'm still dry mouthed and my feet/ankles are still swelling at the end of the day so I'm obviously retaining a ton of water too. It's just not worth it!

Chelle, thanks! I get frustrated with the scale...it seems like eating well isn't working, so why bother. Anyhow, I'm not giving in--except for a few strawberries a day--they're just too yummy right now!

I'm planning to buy this carseat but I'm not sure when Logan will need it. He has two more inches and about 13 pounds before he outgrows the graco he has now...we're going to the US in September, but if he outgrows before then, we'll be screwed unless we buy it now and have it shipped over. ugh.

This Is The One we're considering.....it goes front/rear and will work all the way to a booster. More than we wanted to spend...but in the end, will save money.

After reading some comments about it tho...we will probably go with another seat. Our MAIN PROBLEM in choosing a carseat is one that will fit in our car rear-facing as we only have a VW Golf 4-door. We have almost realized that when we go somewhere together, as rare as that is this days, I will have to sit in the back with Elana because the passenger seat will have to be pushed forward to accomodate the car seat until we can face her forward. UUUggghhh

As for the scale...I feel your pain. That's why I did the meat/egg fast and saw a loss. Only to see a 3 lbs. gain 2 days after adding back a simple salad. So frustration got the best of me Saturday. As I said, it's just not worth it!

Hi, girls, just a quick hello...

Martha, I seriously doubt he'd outgrow his Graco until he's closer to 9 or 10 months old. That resort looks AMAZING!! Will you have a chance to visit family in MI?

Melissa, the earlier UK editions are alot more different than the recent ones. The reason? The US publisher wanted her to "Americanize" the books for us dumb Americans - removing alot of English slang. I'm not sure if the publisher either wised up, or if she refused to change as much later on, but there are alot less differences now. But, I have the US and UK editions of all the others, so I have to get this one in both, right?

Meal plan today:
B- hb egg
L- roast beef rolled up in romaine w/ swiss cheese
D- chicken kabobs, salad or green beans
Snacks, if needed - string cheese, celery w/cream cheese
tyring to save some cals for cheesecake as dessert!

Ok, have to run. Hello to everyone. Busy today and with the possibility of more surgery for Rob, I need to get this stuff done as much in advance as I can.

Morning ladies. No time for personals. I had a pretty bad scare last night. I woke up w/ a little light brown discharge. It was right when Emily woke up screaming. So I ended up waking up Jim, freaking out, and he had to calm me down.

I never thought of the chances of miscarriage until last night. But I was and am pretty frightened now.

Please keep the our little surprise in your prayers.

Thanks

Good morning everyone!

Dar~meant to tell you that I was sorry to hear Rob's results were not as good as you hoped.

Sarah & Cyn~ I have an old bowflex (no lat or leg attachment) and dumbbells. I spent some time on the internet last night just trying to find demos of weightlifting exercises. I know the body for life site has some demos, but not of every exercise. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Chelle&Martha~ We bought the Alpha Omega (not elite) for $100 at Sears. I really like the adjustable 5 point harness. We put it in the van for one trip, but had to take it out because I needed to remove the infant headrest and buy a noodle to level it out. Once we get a break in the rain, it is going back in. He has definitely outgrown the infant carrier.

Jenn~cute pics. on a new camera!!

Dar, my parents will be at Mohonk resort with us for the week, and I think my brothers will pop in for the weekend. Big hugs and prayers that all goes well with Rob.

Sinnrah, I hope it's nothing. How far along are you? Maybe it's implantation bleeding?

Chelle, our current car is small too, but I think I can wedge that big Britax in the middle. It will surely outlast this car, anyhow.

Does anyone have an Audi A4 or a VW Passat?

Tiffany- I don't think a light brown discharge is much to be concerned about- Would your period normally be around this time. I had a light discharge around the time of my period in both pregnancy. If it continues or gets red/pink that would be concern. Brown is old blood and might just be left over from last time-

My period is a week late. So maybe it is old blood.

Good morning!

I don't have much time but I wanted to check in with everyone.

I'm in Alabama and we're getting soaked with rain right now. We've lost electricity a couple of times so far but maybe it will clear up soon.

Jenn- great pics. Have fun looking for a new camera!

Martha- Sounds like you had a nice weekend of watching movies- I have only seen Man on Fire out of your list and I didn't think it was that good. I do think that Dakato Fanning is a great actress.

Hi Chelle, Lauren, And K-Jen

Kiwi- sorry about the rain/electricity problems- Doesn't sound like fun.

Cyn- Good luck starting your BFL challenge- I am sure it will get rid of the jiggle. Speaking of Vanessa- When is she due back?? I miss her.

Hi Beth-

Dar- I am looking forward to the new Harry Potter book also!

Hey guys! Sorry I was scarce this weekend, it went by so fast!

I did okay this weekend. Saturday was my planned free day, but then we got invited over to dinner last night at the last minute and the dinner was not on plan. But, I ate good all day up to that point. So, I'm up a few pounds today. But, I'm back on track! Today is LBWO day.

B- Waffles, pb, sf syrup, turkey bacon

S- BFL Bar

L- Turkey sandwich, sf pudding

S- Applesauce, string cheese

D- Tilapia, brown rice, veggie

S- Skinny cow ice cream

Tanner is finally done with his antibiotics, but still doesn't seem to be back to his old self yet. He still wakes up at night sometimes and gets fussy. I don't know what else to do about the fluid in his ears. I hope this doesn't lead to chronic infections.

Jenn: Such cute pictures! Ezra is growing so fast, and Anna is a doll as always. How cool that you might get a new digicam!

Martha: Boy, that is a lot of traveling!! I hope you can find reasonable solutions for everything!

Chelle: I really like the car seat that we got for Tanner. It's working out really nicely. Good luck finding one that works for you!

Lauren: Hi! Hope you have some time this week to check in!

Cyn: YUM! Your BBQ sounds delish!!

Beth: Good luck getting back on the wagon! It's tough, but worth it!

Dar: Rob is in my prayers!!! Hope your cheesecake turned out!

Tiffany: I had some brown spotting very early in my pregnancy and it was nothing to worry about. I think you need to worry when it's red. But, you are in my prayers just to be on the safe side!

Jen: I'm sorry, I'm not much help, as I don't know much about the bowflex. I would think that most of the arm exercises that use a universal machine would work with that though.

Kristen: WOOHOO!!! Onederland!!!!!!!!!!

kiwi: So sorry about the storms, be safe!!

Dawn: OMG!!! Congratulations!!!!!! How far along are you???
