Good Morning Ladies!

I have good news to report! It looks like I am pregnant after all this month!! I was so sure I wasn't due to PMS symptoms. My period was due yesterday and despite PMS feelings and some light crampiness it never did start. So, this morning I took a First Response Early Result test. There are definitely two lines!!!!!! The positive line is light pink but definitely there. Even now after nearly 3 hours it has only become stronger (just a bit but undeniably stronger).

I think I am about 14-16 dpo (never quite sure). I'll retest on Monday to confirm that the result is getting stronger. If so, I'll call my OB/GYN since she wants me on those lovely progesterone suppositories.

I just can't believe it!! I had a miscarriage two years ago at about 9 weeks so I am very guarded right now. Please pray that this one sticks.

HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!! I can't believe it but by March I may be holding a baby!! What a wonderful b-day present for DH and myself (both March b-days). I was also due in March with my first pregnancy so it is a bit bittersweet.

I feel so much better again today. I still feel bad, just not awful. I could get used to this. I was able to stay awake until 9:30 last night!

Congrats Barbi. I just found out Tuesday I was pregnant. I took the same test and it was two pinks lines almost immediately. The two test I took both came up just as bright pink, just like when I got pregnant w/ my daugher.


I will keep you in my prayers that you have a healthy baby..and nothing goes wrong...

LOL Louise..I make myself stay up until around 10 pm. I have to in order to help DH get my DD to sleep. She is so attached to me that she only wants me to put her to sleep. But by the end of a busy day,chasing her around, I am physically exhausted. So DH is the one who puts her to sleep.

Barbi - are they going to do any early testing? I miscarried at 10 weeks and got pregnant two months later. They determined my progesterone was low and put me on supplements.

Grace-I wore the same undies as before with this pregnancy, they fit pretty good the whole time. Last pregnancy I wore one size bigger. I bought some maternity undies and they are horrible IMO.

Kaillean-thanks for the stroller info. I have one of those strollers. Bought it in 2002. I will be checking the model number. I found you really have to make sure it is locked when you open it so it is probably subject to the recall. Exton, PA is close to me. The Graco place is actually in Elverson.

Well, my milk is finally dried up. Waaaaah. I have my old boobies back. I didn't miss them. I miss my big ol' milk filled boobies! LOL

Oh, we bought Luke a little playmat gym thing last night. OMG! THey are so freaking expensive!! They used to be like $20. $69!! I think I have the one Darlene has with the pillow.

GoJackets-I'm not quite sure what will happen next week. I'll call my OB/GYN on Monday (as she instructed me to do so as soon as I found out I was pregnant to get the suppositories going). I do believe she does plan to test my levels again so hopefully that will occur this next week.

I don't feel pregnant (nor did I when I had an early miscarriage) so I'm excited but trying not to get my hopes up until we see something on that ultrasound monitor.

I bought one of those playmats too, Becca. Bought mine second hand. It's gently used. I got it for $30, instead of the $100 it costs new. It's the Tiny Love one with all the red and black for younger babies. Let us know how Luke likes it. Sorry about the boobies and the milk.

My boobs seems to have gotten noticeably bigger just in the last couple of days. I've never been one for cleavage, so this is good fun! I noticed DH looking at them last night with a puzzled expression on his face, but his brother was here so he couldn't say anything.

Glad you're feeling less icky, Louise. Hopefully in a couple of weeks your morning sickness will be gone! Fingers crossed.

Well I'm still waiting for my triple screen results. The stupid girl in my doctor's office PROMISED the doc would call yesterday before she went home (my regular doc was away so this is her partner). No call of course. So I called this morning to ***** at them and I get a new girl who gives me some song and dance about how they never call if results are good and in any case won't give info over the phone. I asked if I could come in then, but no, they are too busy. Aargh! At no time yesterday did they say they wouldn't give results over the phone. I explained my U/S was Tuesday and I want results by then in case there is anything for the tech to be aware of. I said, "look these are my damn records and I want to know what's going on!" She finally said she'd try to have my doc call by the end of the day. What a runaround. I love my doc, but her office staff sucks the big one. They hung up on me twice yesterday after asking if I could hold. They can never remember your info for more than two seconds. Can you tell I'm frustrated? I told this girl that I love my doc but am seriously considering changing just because it is so frustrating dealing with the staff. After that she promised to bug my doc to call me. If they don't phone later, I will be there first thing Monday to raise a big stink! Okay, rant over. You may return to your regularly scheduled programming.

Louise, Tiffany, Dena, Dar...Hi!

Who ever brought up the underwear issues...I am still wearing my regular undies. Got maternity ones but they don't feel right. I think because of how my tummy is shaped, they don't sit right.

I was so busy yesterday...I never got on really.

Had another appt with the therapist. Things went well. Not as panicky as I was before, but I still find that I dwell on the negative stuff so she wants me to look at the bigger picture for the next time I see her on Tuesday. I am supposed to think about what it will be like when she comes home. I am trying, but I tend to still focus on the negative...no sleep, money, loss of freedom. I am feeling guilty - still like a bad mommy, even though I really DO want her.

So, now that I am getting closer, I am so paranoid. Every little twinge is an OMG. This morning I was laying in bed, and I felt a trickle of something - when I checked my undies, they were wet. Hasn't happened again, so I assume/hope it is just normal moisture. My back is really sore today and I have this soreness on the side of my tummy. Trying not to freak too much - like I said, I am a worry wart!!

Amy, I'm so glad you are seeing a therapist. I know things will be rough at first, but just look at all the mommies enjoying freedom now! Things are just 'different'. And the lack of sleep won't last forever.. the first time Sara sleeps 6 hours you will freak out like I did.

Anyways, it's great that you are trying to nip this in the bud now, and I hope you continue to see them afterwards.

Well, I took another test this morning and it was clear as a bell, no ambiguity! It was so clear!!!

Quick question - I'm having some slight cramps (just one or two every so often during the day). I know this is probably just normal uterine stretching since I'm not bleeding at all but I'm curious as to who else experienced these cramps and how long until they go away?

Awe...thanks everyone. I still have that feeling of "do I just look fat?" I know...crazy!! But, my tummy isn't nice and round so I feel like I am always trying to concele that. But people are definitly noticing - so that is great!!

Dar ~ Thanks for the kind words. I feel guilty that I am this nervous about Sara arriving. You mommies who were pregnant when I was TTC know how badly I wanted this - but I am sure you all know how I worry about everything. It definitly isn't that I don't want her anymore...of course I do...I just tend to dwell on the negative and then worry, and worry, and worry some more. I know it will be all good...I will be fine. Thanks for all the support.

Barbi ~ I wouldn't worry about the crampy feeling unless you have bleeding with it. I think we all had it - especially at the beginning. I don't even truthfully remember how long they lasted...not that long I think, If you are nervous, call the doctor, just to be safe. Congrats again!!

Hi girls,

Well I spoke to the weekend receptionist at my docs office yesterday, and she was much more on the ball. Turns out they did not get my results back on Friday, like the other dumb ass girl said - she was looking at the test order, not the results. She's new apparently.

The girl I spoke to yesterday said it was likely good news as the lab mails back negative results and phones the doc with positive ones. She was confident the ultrasound tech will have them when I go on Tuesday, as the lab and the U/S lab are both at the hospital where I deliver. So for now I'm to assume no news is good news.

Of course I have something else to worry about now. As I told you guys, I was 90% certain I was feeling the baby move early last week. Little movements for a few days, but for the last 3-4 days I haven't felt anything. Is that okay, do you think? I'm thinking the baby probably just moved to a new position or whatever, but you can't help but worry right? Were your early movements sporadic and irregular?

Glad to hear your positive was confirmed Barbi. How exciting! I had the crampy feelings too for the first week or two after getting my positive. I think it's all the changes and preparation going on down there.

Amy, glad your counselling is going well. Don't feel guilty about being nervous. I was actually reading this interesting article on PPD and it said that it's women who have a too rosy or unrealistic view of things that have the worst problems with PPD. While too much stress is not good for the baby, of course, anticipating a lot of hard work and some difficulty adjusting when baby comes is not necessarily a bad thing. It helps make sure the reality of life with a newborn is not as much of a shock and when things turn out not to be as terrible as you might have imagined, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Just don't get too stressed out! And you definitely look pregnant!

I'm off to the wool store to stock up. I'm going with this crocheting obssession while it lasts. I tend to peter out on crafts, so want to make sure baby has a few homemade items in waiting before I get bored. I'm trying to make a newborn size sweater, but both that I have made ended up bigger than I intended. More like 6-9 mos size. Oh well, I guess they'll fit eventually.

Kaileen, Spencer's early movements were very irregular. I might feel him 5 times in one day and not at all for another week and a half. I wouldn't worry about not feeling HERM until you are several more weeks along. They didn't even have me doing kick counts until I was 24 weeks or so.

Well, girls...I am on my way to L&D again as soon as DH gets home.

Yesterday I mentioned that I felt a trickle of some fluid...Well, my panties have been wet since yesterday morning. Every so often I feel a trickle or a drip. So, I decided, just to be safe, to call my doctor's office. The doctor on duty told me to come in. I told her DH was over an hour away and we lived about an hour from the hospital. She said as long as I don't feel any gush and I still feel her move, that should be fine, she would see me in a couple of hours.

I feel like such a dork...

I hope it is nothing - I don't have a bag packed - I have NOTHING.

The doctor asked why my step test results were and sounded a bit concerned when I told her I hadn't had it yet. I am supposed to get it at my next appt on Tuesday.

Well, I will try to pop in later and let you know what is going on.

FYI - for when the time comes - I have Friendships phone number so you will probably hear from her when the baby comes.

If you haven't had the Group B Strep test yet, it isn't a big deal... The only thing they'll do is give you IV antibiotics, just in case.

And if your water is leaking... No big deal either #1) you're already 36 weeks, no preemie baby! and #2) since you haven't had any contractions yet, it isn't like she's gonna come out when you're all alone either - LOL!

Actually everyone pretty much agrees she got the grumpy looks from me! We're doing well. She took a bottle on Saturday so I'm planning to get my husband to help with some of the middle of the night feedings.
