LOSIN' THE BABY FAT ~ TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!!

Melissa!!!

Chels!!!!

Dawn!!!

I know we have some more birthdays and Anniversaries today. Speak up so we can wish you the same. I am just brain dead at this hour.

Chels~ Are you doing ok? Please let us hear from you.

You know, I like fireworks and everything 4th of July. But come on, it is past midnight. Why are people still lighting them? I guess I can tell I am getting old. I just think it is rude and inconsiderate. Most everybody that had today off has to go back to work tomorrow.

See everyone on the flip side.

I just posted on the Monday thread. I'll paste it here:

Had a great time tonight at the concert & fireworks (even though it started pouring rain about 5 minutes before the fireworks.) Ended up opening the back of my truck & using it as a make-shift shelter to watch from there. Darryl Worley did a really awesome concert, & the best part was all of the events were free! I took over 200 pictures, but I have to go through them. I'll try to get some uploaded & posted tomorrow. Only bad part - I ate pizza. It was a conscious decision (cheat), but I didn't eat too much today, so I hope it doesn't do too much damage. Nonetheless, I expect to see a gain tomorrow morning, so I've really been beating myself up over it. Ah, it's done now, and I know that I won't be doing it again anytime soon. It also made me sick, just like the LC bread did the other day, which is even more incentive to stay away from that crap. So anyway, since I post my menu each night for accountability, here it is, in all it's crappiness:

Brunch: Omelet (1 Egg, Mushrooms, Cheese), 3 Slices Bacon
Dinner: Pizza (2 Small Slices)

Chelle~ Sorry you're having problems with Knowles. Is there a full moon for husbands these past few days or something? The big blow-up around here Friday night was because I was doing like 5 things at once while DH was sitting on the sofa watching the Food Network (plus it was a re-run!)

Jefinner~ After reading your first post about Alison holding Devon I was like, "huh?" Even double checked your siggie for ages & thought to myself, "She's gotta mean Ezra." You are doing so awesome with losing!

Melissa~ (It is technically after midnight now.)

Dar~ Ooh, good idea with the choices! I'll have to remember that tactic!

KJen~ Great pictures; I love The Picture People! My sister worked there the summer that Mackenzie was born (she was in college then) & we have tons of great pictures from that summer! OH, I'm right there with you on the fire-cracker issue. We had a $25,000 professional fireworks display here on base tonight, came home, & kids (where the heck were their parents?!?) were lighting firecrackers in the middle of the street in my neighborhood. I told DH, "I must be becoming the cranky neighborhood lady, because I just see a huge fire hazard there - I hope the stay away from our house with those things!"

Oh, I noticed on the front page that today is Chelsea's birthday, too. So, if you're lurking, a big to you too, I hope you're able to enjoy your day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELISSA!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHELSEA!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWN!!!

WOO! So many birthdays today!!!

EMILY - Sounds like you had a great time!!! We won't kick you too hard about the pizza!

HI JEN!

Well... You know what's sad... The only hicky I've received in years... IS FROM MY SON! I guess when I was nursing him the other night (in bed), he missed my nipple, and sucked a big ol' hicky right on the side of my boob. LOL!

this is what came up on my "birthday" image search!!! girls!!!

chelle - they really p*ss us off. but we love them anyway....somehow, they manage to find the right words, but words don't help us get things done around the house!! just remember the good things and hopefully he will see how much you do for your family. is it the lack of appreciation or the lack of help? some of us don't mind busting our butts when we know we are appreciated. i busted my butt mopping yesterday and DH came tracking through after being outside without any regard for my effort (he knew i'd just cleaned it). i was ticked!

dar - i cracked up reading your post about sex/chores/choices. i thought you were going to say he has a choice between sex or dishes!

i have a different problem with DH. he is great to do stuff around the house. i feel like he doesn't listen to me....like since i quit work, i don't have anything important to say....maybe it's in my head.....dunno.

morning ladies!!

Jen - i love the picture people. we had a good first experience. do you scan yours? are you part of the club? murphy is so photogenic!

Emily - congrats on the losing, keep it up!!!

10:30 1:30 4:30 will he ever sleep longer??? fortunately he goes right back to sleep.

you bunch of beautiful mommies!!! Happy Anniv. to those who share this day also.

This is my son PJ's bday too. Can't believe he's NINE today. I'll be calling the birthday boy on my way to work and we're celebrating this weekend.

I have to start the M/E fast again today...don't ask why I'm moving past it, or at least trying to. So I'm starting today after weighing in this morning at 271 and TOM arriving this morning.

OK, had to repost this pic from the weekend.....Elana forgot where her bikini bottoms went!!

Good morning ladies.........and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of our birthday girls!!!!!!!! We ate like crud all weekend, but enjoyed every minute of it!! Crabcakes, Lonestar cheese fries, burgers, etc... I'm up a couple of pounds today, but that always happens after a cheat weekend. I think all of the sodium and junk...by Wednesday I should be down 2 or 3 pounds, so fingers are crossed for that! Back to the grind today w/exercising and eating right.

I have a Banquet crock pot meal on today...anyone tried them? We've been really impressed w/the flavor and quality of them, but there is never enough meat. Other than that, they're great. I put on the beef stroganoff today, but added extra beef tips that I'd gotten at the grocery store, so that should make the difference. I find that it's so hard to cook decent meals during the week that really are tasteful and filling, but last night we sat down and made a long list of ideas that are fast, easy, and good. Hopefully that'll help us when we're in a bind and can't think of things to make! Also, deciding what to have the night before is always a huge help, even though it seems simple. I mean, I can make a number of things, but I want to make good, flavorful things during the week that are delish, not just 'on the table,' know what I mean? Sometimes that's hard b/c a lot of really tasty things take too much time for a weeknight. Anywayyyyyyyy.

We officially 'tried' this month and I got a positive OPK on Friday and Saturday, and we hooked up before and during and after those days. We'llllllll see in a couple of weeks! I think knowing that I'm working on getting pregnant is making me party like crazy and make the most out of my last bit of time. I went out w/a friend on Saturday night and got absolutely hammered! In a good way, though...I am lucky enough to never get hangovers. I was worse off than I'd been in a while and ended up staying the night at her house and going home at 8am on Sunday. Kendall was still in bed when I got there so I showered and went to sleep. Dean didn't wake me until 12:30pm...what a friggin' saint!!!!!! Must be all that good lovin' he's been getting lately... Anyway, then on Sunday night Dean and I went out to a local Tiki Bar and then dancing afterwards with friends. Another fun night, but I was good b/c I was driving this time!

Okay...better get working!

xoxoxoxo Lauren

Lauren~ what awesome pictures!! I hear ya on weekday dinners. Thankfully DH and I are simple, so I make some kind of meat with some veggies.

We indulge in the Hormel already cooked beef roast. It is about the only prepackaged meat DH will eat. He is very sodium sensitive and most packaged food is high in sodium. Some brands of chicken even inject their meat with a high sodium "broth". I have to go to Publix for natural chickens. So I buy alot of groceries at Walmart, but meat at Publix. Kinda a pain to have to go to different stores.

We're simple too, but it seems like I get tired of the same 'ol grilled chicken, ya know? So...I've been hunting for cool, simple marinades and recipes to spice things up a bit!

I REALLY need to up my water consumption! I know that tea doesn't count towards intake (hardly drink it anyway), but what about flavored waters and such?

Lauren, sometimes I just can't stand plain water. Personally, I feel that if it's wet and doesn't contain sugar, it's close enough most days. I think the problem with sodas and tea is the sodium and caffiene in them. Flavored waters may contain those, I'm not sure.

I've never actually tried flavored waters myself. I'll put lemon juice in my water, but that's about as adventurous as I get. I want to try the new Dasani, but keep forgetting!

Happy Anniversary Tracy!!!
Happy Anniversary Cyn!!!

/Happy Anniversary to those lurkers too!

Well, Hunter decided to ring in my birthday with a scream fest at 12:04am...lucky me. I got him to go back to sleep and then when Andrew came home at 2:30am he was screaming again. Looks like he is getting some more teeth in....lucky us. He did sleep until 9:30am this morning!!! I think I'll let Andrew sleep until noon-1pm since he was up with Hunter until about 4am.

Lauren- Kendall is so, so cute!!!! Crossing my fingers that this is your month! Andrew and I count flavored water towards our water amounts.

Tracy- HA!!!! Katie is starting off early huh.

Hi everyone! I've not posted because I feel like there's no way I can keep up with the thread--WOW does it ever get long! For those I haven't met or have forgotten me, here's a little intro. I'm 37, married living in Sweden for another year or so and had our first baby April 23rd. I got back on track eating about a month ago and am aiming to lose 80 more pounds by April. I figure I might as well make my time here good for something and luckily Swedish food is not tempting, hopefully I can stave off emotional eating & hubby's bad influence.

Chelle, I thought that was a hat on Elana too! She's so cute!

Dar, thanks for the PM, Allison is a doll! Logan is wearing some six month things--I cannot believe how sizes differ, some things he's outgrown and others he swims in.

Martha!!! So good to see you here! Like I said, personals are NOT required. I tend to spend WAY too much time on here when work is slow (and often when it's not and I should be working), so I know I contribute to how long the thread gets.

I like to use these girls for motivation and accountability for what I eat and what I do. I hope they can help you, too!

Oh! And one thing that IS required.. PICTURES!

Yeah, Alison is just now starting to wear the 3-6 month clothes. The 0-3 month onesies still fit her perfectly, but the legs in the pj's are too short so she's wearing 3-6 month. We met a grandmother at Penney's yesterday that was buying 12 month clothes for her 4 month old DGD!!!! Oh my!

Speaking of accountability, here's my menu today:
B- frittata (and did I mention that Rob ate half of the frittata I made and saved for this week?! )
L- not sure... planned on chicken salad here at work, but I may go home to help Rob
D- LC fajitas... our favorite meal to make: grilled chicken and sausage, sauteed peppers, fajita seasoning, using romaine lettuce for wraps, sour cream, cheese, black bean dip. YUM!

I haven't plugged it into FitDay, but I can already tell you that my cals will be high due to the sausage.
