Chelle~I hope work isn't too bad for you today.

Murphy and I are home alone today. I'll probably do laundry and take it easy. I am going to miss watching the fireworks tonight, but Murphy goes to bed at 8pm and tomorrow is a work day for both DH and I. I guess we will watch them on TV ~sigh~

Hey Sarah!!! Any plans for today?

Here's the little man sitting in his playpen. I love that he can sit in here now. I have it parked right behind me in the office. But it is also so useful in the kitchen. He will play and let me get the dishes done (I know, I know, who'd ever thought that would be such a luxury?).

KJen- What a cute photo!!!!!!

Chelle- Hope your day at work is okay!

Hi Sarah! Your up and posting early!

Well, Andrew has to work at 8pm tonight so I'm letting him sleep in. Thought I would just do a quick post. Not sure what we are doing today but the weather is so, so nice I think we might go to this place (right down the road from us and very pretty) http://www.wayside.org/

That place looks nice, Melissa!

I am only creative enough to think about going to the mall (if it's open) and buy Murphy a flag tee shirt from Old Navy (if they still have any).

He is being difficult today. He didn't want any breakfast and didn't even want to nurse. So he is playing in his saucer right now. I guess I will see if he wants to eat in a little while (the melons are getting impatient).

Oh, I forget to mention that the last two nights he has only nursed once between 8pm and 5:30am. What is it with weekends? Would be nice if he could do this some during the week. But I'm not complaing!!! But then I've gotten to the point it doesn't matter anymore. DH and I decided that what works best for all of us is for Murphy to go down in his crib at bedtimes, and when he wakes at 12 or 1am, we put him in bed with us until morning. I am inclined to think that if I were to nurse him at 1am and put him back in his crib, he might not make it til 5am. Maybe he sleeps more sound with us. Who knows, but it is working now.

Morning Girls!

Chelle~ Hope you have a good day at work! Yay, 271, you'll be in those 260's soon!

Jen~ I hope you & Murphy have a good day today! That's great that he'll sit in his playpen & play. Mackenzie was always great about entertaining herself in her playpen, I hope I'm as lucky with Reilly!

Sarah~ Good Morning! Any holiday plans?

Melissa~ That looks like a beautiful place; I hope you guys have a great day!

Well, I just realized last night that Darryl Worley is going to be here at Fort Bragg tonight for a free concert as part of Operation Celebrate Freedom. I'm really excited & hope that Reilly will be okay out there (the parade field where it's going to be is less than a mile from my house, so we should be able to leave pretty easy if we have to.) There will also be fireworks tonight, which Mackenzie is really looking forward to.

Reilly continued his strange sleep pattern by waking at 3am, 5am, & now he's been up since 8am. This is unusual for him, maybe a growth spurt or that dreaded teething.

I haven't weighed yet this morning & don't have a menu yet, so I'll BBL with those things.

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Guess who's asleep?! LOL.. she woke up at 8, ate breakfast, and fell back to sleep. I wouldn't be surprised if today is a 'sleepy day' after our day yesterday.

I am SOOOO stoked... I just made a 10 egg frittata, ate 1 piece, and cut the rest up for breakfast later this week. I made it with mushrooms and red pepper. Woo!!!! Plus, I boiled some eggs to make chicken salad at work. How can I fail this week?!?!

The sun is shining! Although, I'm sure it will rain later today, like it did yesterday, at least the sun's out now. I almost feel up to going for a walk. What a whacked out thought! I think I'm just proud of myself for how I resisted the yummy baked beans yesterday. I just might make it to 170 by my birthday!

I got a ton of pictures printed last night. Too many, actually. I was printing them for my frames at my office so I could update them. Now, I have to decide which ones to take. I think I might just take them all, frame some, then make a collage out of the rest. They are all so good! Hey, if I move into the larger office (not sure if I told you guys about that - a corner office with TWO windows where previously I have none), I'll need to fill up the wall space!

Jen, Murphy looks so happy!! He's such a cute little guy. I attempted to pack up the pack n play this weekend. Hmm.. there are no instructions for how to "pack" it... I can't figure out how to get ALL of the accessories back into the bag.

Chelle, good luck with the fast this week. You take plenty of vitamins, right? That would be my only concern with doing it myself. I don't take enough vitamins, but I get my veggies in. I really need to start taking them again. I got out of the habit when I quit breastfeeding... I could choke down a horse pill for HER, but for just me? I'm sure you know what I mean.

I posted this on the pg the other day, but just thought I'd share for grins... this is our messy office. Note the two dogs on the floor (Caena likes to lay under the desk), baby bottle on the desk, two cats on the bed (one is a big lump under the covers), and Rob has the hard drive pulled out of the cabinet because he's convinced the fan is bad and wants to someday replace it.... We call this our "Florida room" or "Lilo & Stitch room" because of how we painted it and our light fixtures have palm trees all over them. There's also a great view of our palm tree and landscaping when the blinds are open.

Not sure why I'm sharing it, just bored I suppose and wanted to show you my corner of the world.

Jen, if you and hubby are both in agreement and are happy with that choice, then I think it's the right one for you guys! It seems Murphy agrees with it!

Emily, that's so exciting! We are doing NOTHING today. Jen had a great idea about getting an Old Navy shirt. I didn't even think of that. I have some great pictures of our niece and nephews in those shirts from a couple years ago. They look adorable and so... patriotic!

Hi Emily!
is absolutely right!!! I have a tendency to over analyze things (as if you haven't already noticed). I spent months trying to figure out why Murphy went from waking once, to twice, to three times a night over a course of 4 months. I just finally gave up.....which was the smartest thing I've done so far. I hope Reilly's strange pattern doesn't last long for you.

I really need to get a life and go do something today.....aren't you guys tired of me post hoing already today.

Hey Dar! I think it depends on which Pack 'n Play you have, but with ours, only the playpen fits in the bag, it doesn't hold the changing table part or bassinet part. They don't tell you this when they're trying to get you to buy the one with all the fancy attachments!

Ok, Dar, what mall you wanna meet at in Orlando? That's about half way, right? Definitely make the day go by faster .

Your office looks better than mine. I reserve the right to not worry about this one room in the house. It is now the dog's domain, where the washer and dryer reside, DH's drum set, and of course the desk, filing cabinet, and my old computer that one day I will finishing repairing for my mom. Oh, and a stationary bike and Bowflex that are collecting dust. What a room!!!!

What's so strange is that he's been sleeping so well lately (9-10pm until 6-7am). He was also super cranky yesterday & seems to be continuing that today. I'm glad you've found a routine that works well for Murphy!

Dar~To pack the PNP, fold the floor around the main part and put in bag. The floor has a handle on one side, leave that sticking out of the opening on the zippered bag. I was able to get the bassinet on one side (inside the main compartment) and the changing station minus the plastic sides on the other side of the main compartment. Stick the poles from the bassinet inside the box created by wrapping the floor around the main assembly. The plastic side of the changing station go in the pockets and then the velcro tabs keep them in.

That is probably confusing as all get out. Baby's crying...BBL

Ok, lil' bit woke up and is now propped in my lap.

Jen, I think I'll just stay in my pj's today! LOL.... I'll be in Orlando this coming weekend, though!

Believe me, it took about a solid year to get our house where it is today. I claimed about $5k on donations on last year's taxes, we purged SO much junk! It was hard to do, took alot of iterations, but we managed to do it. The closet in here is still full of stuff like Disney pins (a ton of which I want to put on eBay), old computer, school books, boxes and boxes of photos, etc. But, we used to have boxes everywhere AND both this closet and Alison's closet full of junk. Not to mention old furniture.

Ok, I better go for now. BBL!

Little man just ate. Guess he had to be ready. He's now back in the pnp, watching the dog. He just loves the dog. Should go down for a nap in a few minutes, then off to the shower for me.

Wow, you were able to get all of the pieces in the bag? I'll have to try that next time, I couldn't get anything in there except the floor & the playpen itself. (Oh, I did put the poles that hold the bassinet in there, but I just put the bassinet in the back of my truck separate. )

Dar~ I like your desk!

We don't have a separate office here (hope to in the next house) but we have a really long living room, so I have the desk & a big chair in one part of it. DH mostly uses this desk.:

The view from the window is the neighbor's back yard. . I haven't bothered to put up curtains, since we'll be moving again sometime in the beginning of the year.

Here's my "desk" that I use most often :

And, here's Reilly at his "desk":

Just weighed for the day - 207.8!

This puts me just over 40 lbs lost since Reilly was born.

Happy 4th!! I was able to sleep until almost 9 am this am!! I couldn't believe it - and it is almost 10:00 and Elizabeth is still asleep!! It was great - I was able to pump a bottle this am to use for later. I guess it is growing spurt time when they sleep this long. I keep going to check on her - but she is just sound asleep! 12 whole hours!

I hope she and Christian get some good naps in today since we will be at BIL and SIL's until after fireworks tonight hopefully!

Emily - Wow!! You did great on that M/E fast. I loved the pic of Reilly at his "desk".

KJen - I love it when they sit up and play too. It is great. We were doing that sleep thing with Elizabeth when she wasn't sleeping through the night too. It really seemed to work with her. She would go to sleep in her bed and come in with us when she would wake up to eat. I say do whatever works!!

Kristen - I am fairly new to the thread - my name is Sherry and I have 4 kiddos - Megan, Anna, Christian, and Elizabeth. Your pics are so cute!! It looks like y'all had a good view for the parade! I love going to them!

Dar - We did the same thing! We have too many people in this house. So last summer we gave away sooo much stuff! Of course that was to get this house ready to put on the market - but then child #4 came along..still here..hoping to get ready to move soon!

Sarah: Hi there!!

Chelle - You did totally awesome on the m/e fast. I'm sorry you have to work today - but it works better to do it at work doesn't it. I always stay much better on plan at work.

See you all later on !! Hope you see lots of cool fireworks!

Sherry

Have a great fourth- "see" you guys tomorrow.

This is what I woke up to this morning...Daddy had him propped in the recliner while fixing his bottle...I grabbed the camera and he held that smile long enough for me to get it. He was fussing and I got out of bed to check on him (although I knew Daddy had it under control) and he stopped fussing for a second when he saw me and gave me that smile. Maybe he really likes me. But, food comes first because he forgot all about me and proceeded to fuss again. BBL!!!
