Droopy Boobs!
My husband says my boobs are droopy
and I can't be affording any lifts! anyone know of a really good bra? I am thinking that perhaps mine are just not that great. I hate having to buy the kind with the extra thick straps, I like the dainty little ones with the pretty lace, and silky straps and the matching undies... sigh... I'll get there, I know it. Right now I am a 40D but the cups seem to be getting too big, but I also wonder if it's the cheapness of the bra, when I buy them, they have underwire and they fit like they are suppose to, but I wonder it partly its' the stretch going out of them. And something else I feel like venting about while we are on teh subject of boobs, is why the heck don't bathing suit manufacturers but in bras in their suits!! Sheesh! I wo'nt dream of going braless with a tee shirt, so WHY would they think I would go braless in a bathing suit? I'm getting sick of see "shelf-bra" pathetic, totally pathetic... ![]() |

He said THAT????!!!!! I'd be pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lane Bryant has some really nice underwire bras with this neat cushion thing on the side which lifts and accentuates. I LOVE mine. They were about $29 each, but really, really worth it. I bought two to wear when I go out. (I'm the same bra size as you.) go on the website and check them out www.lanebryant.com |

I hear you on the bathing suits, although I think it would be even harder finding a suit that fits with a bra. I am a 36DD. I have a terrible time even with shelf bras in bathing suits. I need a size 10 to fit in the bottom, but then the shelf-bra cuts me mid-boob. To get a one-piece suit to fit comfortably is a pain. To fit the top, the bottom is too big, to fit the bottom, the top is too small. uggggg..
Can't really help on the bra issue. I tend to buy the Bali brand and they have the thick shoulder piece. Good luck. |

I have the same problem as you but my cup does not runneth over. I recently saw an episode of Oprah and she said the bra strap should hit midway between your elbows and shoulder. When I look in the mirror mine was hitting almost down to my elbow! I shopped around for a more expensive bra and that does do the trick. Le Mystere bra is very good, Much cheaper on Ebay and they do have them NEW with tags. Also as mentioned earlier Lane Bryand has some good ones. Ones that I have wore in the past just didn't provide the lift I needed although they were not cheap. I do hope that when I reach goal, I can afford a lift and I am only a B cup! I wish I had a better answer but I don't.

Missy, that's an issue for me & DH, too!! Eeek!
Just so you know, I'm doing a couple things to kinda help the droop: 1.) I'm taking some nutritional supplements called "Natural Curves" which seem to be helping with my firmness (resulting in less droop) 2.) Also daily using Avon's BustSculpt cream (supposed to be using it twice a day, but always seem to forget at night)... again, that seems to be helping with firmness and less drooping. 3.) Finally, started doing some light upper body weights to help with the pecks a bit. ... hey, every little bit helps!! And, yeah, I've bought some new bras that fit better! ![]()

Way too much time on my hands!

I have seen the odd swimsuit with kind of a built in underwire. They were in a swimsuit store so kind of pricey. If I found a swimsuit with a good built in bra it would be worth it though! As far as regular bras go...I would look for lingerie shops in the phone book. Call them up and ask if they have fittings. Maybe someone with some expertise can recommend a good supporting but still pretty bra. I wear underwire bras and I like the pretty ones too. I have some that are great and give some support, I have one that is really terrible and hardly gives any support at all. Make sure you try all your bras on before you buy them to see if the support is any good.

Land's End has some good suits that have molded cups in their shelf bras. I have a bunch of suits from them.
I'm afraid I will have droopy boobs soon after nursing my son. Waaaah. |

I can offer this... if they are droopy a bra will not correct it.
If you had larger breasts or ones that were bigger and heavier... that would have stretched the skin out. And now that you are losing weight, the fatty tissue in your breasts will be going away... leaving for a loss of a better word.... deflated or empty "sacks". No bra can fix your skin. Just like when our tummies get stretched out. No cream or exercise or bra will fix either one. Chest exercise will build up the muscle underneath but it does not affect breast tissue. Sometimes with time things will look a bit better though. But if you just want to look better in clothing... re measure yourself or have a bra fitter do it and look for lift and push! ![]()
