I got it from DH and Hamilton got it from me. Poor fella - congestion is bad, but he is handling it well.I love all of the pictures. I've been kind of blah and those pics really cheer me up. Dar - love the video of Alison.....it really tickled me. Mandy - Spencer is packing on the weight, what a little champ. He looks great. love his little pants rolled up. ![]() Chelle - always love your pics....getting really good at those quality shots, Sarah - Tanner is gorgeous like his mom. I thought I saw Mason in some of the shots from the past, but he definitely looks like you in the shot where Mason is holding him. Chelsea - love smiley shots...i know that face cheers you up. what size onesie is he wearing? Melissa - you can't deny Hunter...I do see Andrew, but don't have to look hard at all to see you! Okay, I think I caught up from page 10 - now to go back and read the other nine so I can catch up with everyone. ![]() Off to also read up on how I can comfort my little man. I put him in bed with me last night so I could keep up with his breathing. It breaks my heart that I can't get the snot out of him for him. Please feel free to share some advice on colds. Fortunately, there is no fever. Here is a silly smiley - he was asleep and must have been having a good dream...probably about Victoria's Secret - he had his first trip there the day before. ![]()

Morning beautiful Mommies!!!
Plans for the weekend?? Steam cleaning carpets as Elana's about to get the hang of crawling!!! And bday shopping for my son's NINTH bday on Tuesday He can't be nine already!! No 4th of July plans except work for both of us.Vanessa....glad you got out! You made me realize that Knowles and I haven't been anywhere alone without Elana since her birth It's so hard not having family in the area to babysit.Chelsea....GORGEOUS pics!! Dena....uhoh!! When Elana had her little cold, our doc recommended a cool mist vaporizer and that knocked her cold out within a few days. That, and a lot of bulb suctioning and saline nose drops....and elevating the head of her crib a bit. Hope you both get to feeling better soon!!! Mandy....those pics of Spencer are adorable. He appears so much bigger and alert, great signs!! I wish I had more time for personals...even that Elana woke an hour early this morning, she's demanding my attention LOL. Please know I'm thinking of you all daily and wishing for healthy babies and big losers!! Another 2 weeks and I'll be able to "chat" on my weekend I have enjoyed the night posts as it lets me feel a little active here.Elana's doing so much better yesterday and so far today!! She's all talkative and looking at us all cute. I think her constipation has subsided and she's back to our happy princess. Hopped on scale this morn.... saw 271 again, which is fine by me! I'm sure my body is wondering where those 7 lbs went so fast!! So that makes a total of 69 lbs gone!!! Today is the last day of the meat/egg fast for me...think I might do this mon-fri and add veggies on weekends. It actually has been easy for me to do due to hubby's schedule. During the week we rarely eat together and with Elana, it's easy to just grab some premade chicken or throw something on the grill/in the oven. It's a consideration. Have a great day ladies!!!! Mornin'!
Vanessa- Glad to hear you had a good 'night' out. I know it is something that Andrew and I should do, but we don't really have anyone to watch Hunter, and I don't like to leave him with the MIL too much. He is going to stay with her on the 17th when we go to our friends house for the wine tasting and book club meeting and I know those 6 hours will be long. I'm one of those weird ones that doesn't like to leave him...... You are going to Sheridan right? ENJOY!!!!Chels- Oh, if I lived closer I would come over and visit. I was at my wits end last night when we went out to eat. It was the first time since he was about 5 weeks old that he was fussy. Now, grant, you he was just throwing things around, but it was fussing in my mind. I just love your pictures!!!! Dena- I am so glad that you posted, I was starting to get worried about ya! about you and Hamilton getting a cold. I wish I could help you, but to be honest, Hunter really has never been sick, sick. There was one cold that I got and he stayed on me all day (which is NOT like him), but that was it..... Now, get to teething and I can help you!Chelle- 271!!!!! I think you just like the fact that you are at a 69lb loss..... You are doing so, so good!!!!Well, it is raining outside We are supposed to meet up with Andrew's BF and wife this afternoon after Hunter's nap and we are supposed to go to the "center" (we need to drive 35 mins to Andrew's hometown) for about 6pm when the festivities begin.... then tomorrow is the parade (they are saying 2 hours long ), MIL's BBQ, and then that night our friends 30th bday party. Not sure what we are doing Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday though.I'm a little depressed today though, I'm used to going to my families for the 4th...I've never not....but I didn't want Andrew to not see his BF that he only sees maybe once a year...I'm guessing since they came up for Christmas AND this week that they won't be coming back for about a year. We are off the plan today and tomorrow, back on the wagon on Sunday. My plan is to just watch myself and not overdue it. This time of year is always hard for me... I already know that next weekend is my "normal" birthday celebration. Oh well, BBL, have a little one that wants attention and his Daddy is still asleep. |

Happy Friday Girls!
Vanessa~ I'm so glad you & Jared had a good night out! DH & I rarely get out to the movies anymore, because we're really picky about who we leave the kids with & we our closest family is 3 hours away.Dena~ I was just thinking of you yesterday, I'm so sorry you & Hamilton are sick! Unfortunately I can't offer much advice about the cold. Reilly did pick up a cold around 6 weeks & they (the nurse line) said that there was really nothing we could do because he was too young for medicine or anything. The only thing they told me to do was to use a humidifier, a nasal suction, and to give him some Pedialyte to keep him hydrated. Love the picture, he is such a cutie! Chels~ Such gorgeous pictures of Payton; I love that little smile! No real weekend plans for us yet, after today DH will be off until Wednesday. Honestly, I'd like to hang around home this weekend & get some things organized (I'm such an organizing fool! ) I want to put some shelving in one of our outdoor storage closets & get all of DH's military gear organized & in one place out there so that I can use the big walk-in closet that's downstairs in the house for my scrapbook stuff. Chelle~ So glad Elana's back to her happy little self! Have to run fix DH's breakfast; I'll BBL to update with today's weigh-in & menu. |

<<<---- Look what I won, girls!!! (it's from the SNARK challenge.. we have weekly votes and I won this week) I don't think I could have done it without all of your support!
![]() Menu for today: B- hb egg S- string cheese L- crackslaw S- celery w/ cream cheese D- (what we were supposed to have last night) pork chop, salad, veggie S- maybe some sf jello if I feel up to making it FitDay totals: 1271 cals / 14 net carbs Dena, I hope you guys feel better soon! I LOVE that pic. Sleeping smiles are so silly. Melissa, sorry you're not with family. I know how that feels, having our families so far away. We have to compromise when we do go home, and that's not easy. Hey to everyone else! In-laws called last night. They had indicated to me on Sunday that they might come down next weekend for a long weekend. Turns out, they'll only be here Thursday and Friday and leaving on Saturday and could I possibly take some vacation while they are here? Well, I'm saving my vacation for Christmas and emergencies. And on such short notice? On a short week to begin with? In-laws! They're coming to see Alison, anyways! |

Hi mommas! I am also trying to lose the baby fat
I gave birth to my second and final child May 26th and I am looking to be in the best shape of my life from here on out! I weighed 192lbs my last month of pregnancy and right after delivery I was 175lbs I havent weighed since then but I have been following the Atkins WOE since June 16th and I already feel so much lighter so hopefully I will weigh much less at my post op appt. this thursday! Anyways I have a question about the sick babies....Since you cant give newborns meds how do they get treated for congestion and colds? I have been suctioning my ds nose but I think he needs more he is very rattling in the chest and I can tell it chokes him sometimes My 3 yr old dd has a cough and cold so I am certain my ds is catching it also Is there really anyways to protect newborns from sick older siblings? or is everyone in the house is going to get sick also no matter what? TIA

Okay, back to check-in.
Melissa~ I missed you earlier, we must have been posting at the same time. I understand exactly how you feel about not being with your family for the holiday. Since my family is in VA & DH's is in SC, it seems like a constant tug-of-war, especially for holidays. For my family, Thanksgiving has always been a big family reunion & a huge deal. The first year I missed it (2nd year we were married) I just felt so lost. I know we have to be fair, but it's a constant struggle. I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Dar~ Congrats on the SNARK award! Great job! Ugh, in-laws! (See above rant! ) I hope you are able to work something out, I feel the same way you do, mine really just wanna see the kids, anyway. Menu looks good, I'm jealous of your Jello! That may be my "indulgence" tomorrow! Wannabeslim4life~ Hi & ! I'm Emily, been married to my Army DH for almost 10 years & have 2 kiddos, Mackenzie (almost 5) & Reilly (3 months). When Reilly had a cold at around 6 weeks, the ped's office just told me to use a humidifier, a nasal suction, and to give him some Pedialyte to keep him hydrated. So basically, they said to wait it out. It's so hard when they're sick & we can't really do much! ![]() Okay girls, today is Day 5 of Meat/Egg Fast for me. Here's the stats for the week: Mon - 216.4 Tue - 213.0 Wed - 210.8 Thu - 210.0 Fri - 209.6 Loss So Far This Week - 6.8 lbs! Don't really have a firm menu for today, I have to go to the commissary for groceries this afternoon. Here's what I have so far: B'Fast - Sausage Patty (1 Patty) Lunch - Scrambled Eggs (2 Eggs) Dinner - Not Sure YetETA: Don't know if I mentioned it yesterday, but I love your new avi, Melissa! When Audrey has had her colds the doc suggested everything that Chelle said "recommended a cool mist vaporizer , that, and a lot of bulb suctioning and saline nose drops....and elevating the head of her crib a bit." I slept kind of propped up on the couch and she slept on me, it helped her breathe (I think). My doc also told me don't pay attention to the head or the rattly noise. Just watch the chest, if the baby is breathing easy and the chest is moving smoothly up and down it's OK. Although it's really hard to ignore the rattle. When Audrey has a lot of snot, I find myself snorting my nose, as if that would help her snot.. I am such a dork!
I forgot to add to yesterday's post: CONGRATS TROLLY!!!!! I'm so happy for you!! Dena, I love Hamilton's smile. He looks so happy! For some reason, he looks like a baby Charley Brown in that pic. :-) I love the black & white of Elena... Nicely taken Knowles! Dar- my DH & I are going to take a week off from technology. No TV and no computer, but we haven't decided when to start it. We're soo hooked it's not funny! Today Audrey & I are off to Sears to get her picture taken. Her paternal Grandma made her a cute little dress & hat and I want to get her pic done before she grows out of the outfit! I'll check in later!

Sheesh.. it figures... "special surprise for all the girls in the office" = CAKE!
And then they all looked at me funny when I wouldn't try a bite. Ugh.... Off to have my string cheese.WTG, Emily! That's awesome! My parents and in-laws live 4 hours apart. We live 14 hours away from both of them. When we used to go home at Christmas (haven't been in over 3 years), it's a struggle of who we spend Christmas Eve with and who we spend Christmas Day with. Our traditions are so different. And the first time I spent Thanksgiving at the in-laws house? They don't watch the parade or football!!!! I was totally lost! DH and I grabbed food, snuck to a bedroom, and watched the game. |

Dierdre, I'm so glad Audrey's feeling better! We're going to be over your way next week (sometime) with the in-laws. Not sure on the schedule yet. They drive me batty sometimes.
I think Saturday we'll go to breakfast with them somewhere over there before they head back up north, then we might spend the day strolling around with Alison. |

Cool Dar! If you want to meet up for a beverage of choice let me know.. It would be fun to put a real person with the on-line version!
My in-laws drive me batty, but they live 8 houses away. I do love them though, they're really great and would do anything for us. But sometimes! ARGH! :-) |

Dierdre, I'll have to see what DH wants to do. He's never really understood on-line friends, but is easygoing as long as he's not tired. Once I drove four hours up to DC (when we lived in VA) to meet on-line friends.. back when I was on a wedding planning board. What is your schedule??
(at least you know you have some built-in baby-sitters if you need them! ) |

Chels- Good job Payton!!! You must feel good after some sleep!!!
We normally don't have issues with holidays. We rotate years for Easter and Thanksgiving, this year is a MIL year. My grandmother always has her xmas the sunday before xmas. Then we do xmas day at the MIL's (after ours of course) and then the following weekend my mother does one for her side of the family so it aways works out fine. 4th has always been what I want to do, so this really has thrown me off....Oh well, it will pass. I do know that Andrew said Hunter is making me a cake on Tuesday (hope it is LC!) so I think he is trying to make up for it. |
