Whoops....meant to put this on today's thread....

Helloooo everyone!!!

Just popping in to give you all the good news!!!

Benjamin Thomas was born 6/27 at 12:13pm. 8 lbs, 2 oz...21 3/4 inches.
He is a beautiful boy and we are SO glad he is finally here!

I was able to avoid being induced, but had some complications during labor. I will write the birth story sometime soon.....

Here is a little picture for now too...

Congrats on Benjamin's arrival!

Spencer now weighs 4 lbs. 1.5 ozs. He is also taking about half his feedings by mouth. I wanted to share some pics with you ladies.

Jecehkah! Congrats! Sorry you had some complications.

Grace- from yesterday. I am using formula a bit because I can't pump enough to feed him breastmilk exclusively unless I nurse. I can't pump for 15-20 min and feed him for 20 min and take care of my other kids. I wish I could though. I did however pump a good 7 oz this morning from my massively engorged boobs! I picked him up to feed him a bottle and I gushed everywhere. DH was like HEY! Why did that happen? LOL

I really really really wanted to exclusively BF. But my nipple pain and his not getting satisfied in under 45 min is just really hard. The other kids are started to get annoyed at my 8+ hrs of feeding him. We will see what happens.

Mandy: Such precious pictures. I'm so glad he is doing well! I hope he starts eating all of his meals soon! We had that same wait with Tanner, and it is so hard!

Mandy, little Spencer is sure growing up! I can see a huge difference in him from your pictures. I'm so glad to hear that he is over 4 lbs.

Becca, thanks for answering my question about BFing. That makes sense. I was wondering because I don't know a darned thing about the subject and I am worried how it is going to go for me. Oh well, I still have 12 weeks or so until I find out how my little guy & I will do!

I am trying not to stress about all the silly little things that I feel liike I need to get finished by the time the baby is here. All the baby really needs is love, food, a small amount of clothes & diapers, right?

Mandy you can really tell that Spencer is getting bigger... his face has filled out alot!!!!

Becca... do what you can hun! The fact that you are even trying when it would be so very easy to just give up is GREAT! Remember any amount of breastmilk is better than none!!!!!!! Have you tried going to a LLL meeting and asking for input and ideas?

Mandy~ Spencer is getting so big.. I had to laugh when I saw his little pants rolled up! how precious.. I use to have to do that to Ethan and now I can't get his chubby little behind into them let alone have to roll them up..

Grace~~ No need to stress! love,food,clothes,and diapers is a great start! Over half the stuff I got I havent even used yet and Ethan is four months!

Wanted to let all the Mommies who havent posted in awhile that I'm thinking of you girls and hope all is well with you and those precious babies!

Since it's a little slow around here I thought I would share some pictures! I was taking Ethans shirt off and was laughing at how he looked with his shirt over his ears so I just had to take some pictures.. He has discovered his hands and he seems to think they taste very good!

hello ladies

I've been mostly lurking. I have been an emotional moody mess. I"ve mentioned before that my first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. I had a blighted ovum. So now that I'm pregnant again I am terrified of another miscarriage. Well since yesterday evening and today everytime I pee I notice something floating in pee. I have no idea what it is...it isn't a lot but almost like backwash in my pee. I don't have a doctors appt until July 11 and i'm wondering if anyone else has experinced this? I am not having any cramping or bleeding. I have been getting like a yellowish discharge (ick! sorry).

i'm hoping you ladies can help me on this one.

LGS, my gut reaction is not to worry about it if it is not red or pink. But, you should really call your doctor. I'm sure they will try to answer your question over the phone or have you come in. You don't have to wait for your appointment! Don't risk it; there may be something that they can do to help!!!

Call now, before the holiday weekend starts & you can't find anyone.

LGS ~ They are making you wait until the 11th?? Wouldn't you be considered high risk? I had some spotting at 6 weeks, called my doctor and they had me come in for an u/s and then they did another one two weeks later, just to make sure. My first real appt wasn't for another month or so. I would call the doctors office.

Mandy--Spencer looks great! Thanks for posting new pics.

Grace--I wouldn't worry about 'things' for the baby. In fact, I am worried about the opposite--too many things. My MIL spoils the other grandchildren way too much!!!! I know I am going to have a hard time telling her we'd rather not have toys, etc.

Shelly--Those pics crack me up! My DH has never really been around babies before. My best friend's little girl spit up formula all over him in February. I was just laughing!!! He was like "ick, this is warm and stinks!!"

LGS--I can't really help, except say if you are really worried, please call the doc.

Nothing new here. We are going out of town tomorrow afternoon, but I will try to check in in the morning. This is the big weekend!!! Telling my Mom, DH's father and step mom, and his Mother and step dad.

the receptionist at my doctors office is being a total ***** (am I allowed to say that? sorry!) anyway I've been debating switching ob anyway so I tried calling 2 others and my area and the best I could do was an appt for Tuesday. Also the other one I called didn't even want to see me until I was 8 weeks. I think part of me is just being paranoid and I need to calm down. anyway i'll keep you ladies posted.

TMI WARNING...

I don't know what to do...I am SO stopped up from all the extra iron I am taking. I don't think I have "gone" in a couple of days. I get the frequent urge that I have too, but nothing comes out because I don't want to push too hard. I have been taking two stool softeners a day and trying to eat more fiber, but it is doing nothing!! Well, I got home from work and I had to go so bad. I went to the bathroom and just had to go and couldn't just ignore the fact that I needed to push the poop out. OMG...I could feel it - it was right there - but no matter how hard I pushed, I couldn't get it out. TMI!! I put my hand down there too see what was going on - I know gross, sorry - and all I could feel was this huge hard piece of poop that was like stuck. So, I had no choice but to push - finally after like 20 minutes I got it out, but I can tell there is still a lot up there. I am so uncomfortable... Now my "hole" is surrounded by bubbles!! It doesn't hurt or anything, I can just feel them. Feels like something is stuck in my bum. I don't know what to do ladies. Should I call the doctor on call and see if there is something I should take?? I just have to live with this for anther 5 weeks and I don't want the hemmoroids (sp?) to get any worse seeing as though with pushing during labor, I am probably going to get them anyway.

Sorry this was so graphic. I just don't know what to do...

Becca-I'm sorry the BF isn't going very easy.

I know how hard it is with a 3 year old, can't imagine another one too. Does Luke sleep with you at night? If he does, maybe you could still nurse at night so you don't have to get up and mess with a bottle. When Chad wakes up during the night I just give him the boobie and I go back to sleep LOL.

Hi Shelly! As always, Ethan is just hamming it up! He is so cute!

I would say a bunch of sf candy but I think that will just give you alot of pain if its already down there.

Amy, sorry about your situation. I have no advice. If anything, I have the opposite problem, always been that way. Maybe eat something really spicy?

I can't wait to hear your birth story. Mandy~ Spencer is getting so big.. I had to laugh when I saw his little pants rolled up! how precious.. I use to have to do that to Ethan and now I can't get his chubby little behind into them let alone have to roll them up.. Grace~~ No need to stress! love,food,clothes,and diapers is a great start! Over half the stuff I got I havent even used yet and Ethan is four months! Wanted to let all the Mommies who havent posted in awhile that I'm thinking of you girls and hope all is well with you and those precious babies! Since it's a little slow around here I thought I would share some pictures! I was taking Ethans shirt off and was laughing at how he looked with his shirt over his ears so I just had to take some pictures.. He has discovered his hands and he seems to think they taste very good!

I have been an emotional moody mess. I"ve mentioned before that my first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. I had a blighted ovum. So now that I'm pregnant again I am terrified of another miscarriage. Well since yesterday evening and today everytime I pee I notice something floating in pee. I have no idea what it is...it isn't a lot but almost like backwash in my pee. I don't have a doctors appt until July 11 and i'm wondering if anyone else has experinced this? I am not having any cramping or bleeding. I have been getting like a yellowish discharge (ick! sorry). i'm hoping you ladies can help me on this one.

But, you should really call your doctor. I'm sure they will try to answer your question over the phone or have you come in. You don't have to wait for your appointment! Don't risk it; there may be something that they can do to help!!! Call now, before the holiday weekend starts & you can't find anyone.

Wouldn't you be considered high risk? I had some spotting at 6 weeks, called my doctor and they had me come in for an u/s and then they did another one two weeks later, just to make sure. My first real appt wasn't for another month or so. I would call the doctors office.

Mandy--Spencer looks great! Thanks for posting new pics. Grace--I wouldn't worry about 'things' for the baby. In fact, I am worried about the opposite--too many things. My MIL spoils the other grandchildren way too much!!!! I know I am going to have a hard time telling her we'd rather not have toys, etc. Shelly--Those pics crack me up! My DH has never really been around babies before. My best friend's little girl spit up formula all over him in February. I was just laughing!!! He was like "ick, this is warm and stinks!!" LGS--I can't really help, except say if you are really worried, please call the doc. Nothing new here. We are going out of town tomorrow afternoon, but I will try to check in in the morning. Also the other one I called didn't even want to see me until I was 8 weeks. I think part of me is just being paranoid and I need to calm down. anyway i'll keep you ladies posted. shelly & mandy- the babies are sooooo cute. great pictures.
