~*~*Losin' the Baby Fat! Happy Tuesday! ~*~*

Hehe. Helloooo Mommies! I had to start this today, only because I'll forget to share the article that I found at work tonight, if I sleep on it.

Time magazine reported on a study that showed that babies that started solids including wheat sometime between 4 and 6 months had the lowest chances of developing a gluten intolerance, compared to those that started both before and after that time period.

Just thought I'd share, since Melissa's been telling me about all the discussions that have been going on about what babies should eat and when.

Don't worry, this won't be a regular thing.

Good Morning Mommies!!

Meat/Egg Fast day 2 here...weight this morn, 277: down 1 lbs.
Proposed Menu today:
b - 2 HB eggs
l - grilled chicken, HB egg
d - crockpot chicken

Elana was cranky as poo last night....come to find out, she was constipated Once I helped her with that, all was good for her. She and I have a ton of errands to run tonight after a quick lawyer appointment after work. Knowles is gonna sleep a lil as it's his night off. Hopefully we'll get some "us" time tonight...if not, he needs his sleep and we have this weekend.

OK, I'll check in when I get home from errands later tonight.

Emily...keep it up, we can do this!!

Right there with ya Chelle!

Haven't weighed yet this morning, but I did before bed last night (just for giggles) & I was down a lb of the 2 lb gain that showed yesterday morning. I'm trying to get Reilly back to sleep, then I'll weigh before breakfast.

B'Fast: Deviled Eggs (since I made so many)
Lunch: Tuna w/HB Egg
Dinner: Either Chicken or Leftover Steak

ETA:I just went upstairs & weighed...I'm down 3 lbs since yesterday morning! (This is my lowest since having Reilly.)

Hey Melissa~ You are now a Very Gabby LCF Member with your 3000 posts! Congrats!

I went to karate class last night. It was great, but I am very sore and tired today. I really need to get some work done today, so I may not be around much.

Murphy woke at midnight and would not go back to sleep without nursing. So our streak is stuck at 3 days. If he does better tonight then I will blame it on me going to class, since he slept poorly last Thursday night when I went to class . Oh well, today it another day.

Good morning moms!
Wow, only 6 posts when I came on
Let the gabbing begin.

Knowing I HAVE to work today...

Chelle- sorry about the rought night I hope tonight is better, and on the lb. Every one counts.

Thanks for the information Andrew! Start us off anytime

Emily- 3 lbs?? That is awesome. You are really gonna be dropping fast if you stick to this!

KJen- sorry you had a rough night too. Just remember, like Chelle said, babies are constantly changing. Just when you think you have them figured out
I hope tonight is better.

Hi Melissa and Beth! Have a good day

Nothing new to report here. Still recovering from back issues and slowly beginning my Curves workouts again. 4 workouts since last week. Also using my bun and thigh roller I got off the TV. 5 minutes 3 times a week. It's easy and fun, I do it while watching the news and I surely feel the burn.

Great feeling.

I haven't weighed this week. Had a burger and fry bender over the weekend
I am really hoping to see 154-155 this week, so I am being good

Me-
B- half a WW english muffin w/ lite butter
S- grapes
L- Lean Cuisine lunch
S- granola bar/ small salad
D- grilled chicken breast w/ brown rice and steamed brocolli.

K- BB in a bit when everyone checks in.

Tracy

Hi, girls!

Our building got struck by lightning or something last night! I arrived to an office w/ no AC, little power, no network, etc. It's slowly getting back into order but it's WARM in here.

Emily, will you be able to see GW? Or are you staying home during the event? How cool!

Sarah, this:
Quote:
Bust:.......48.50........................45.75.... ....................2.75 inches
Would make me .

But that's just me. WAY TO GO!!!!!

Oooh, Tracy Tracy Tracy....

I'm gonna have to polish my boots. I hope your back feels better soon.

Jen, sorry you had another rough night. Hopefully it's just a minor setback. Woo hoo on the workout! I'm hoping it doesn't rain tonight and I can get one in myself.

Beth, take it easy! You deserve it after such a busy busy weekend.

Hi, Andrew!

Hey, Melissa.. I finished the first part of that book last night (4-6 months). Looks pretty simple! But now, with what Andrew posted... where do you put wheat products in their diet at that age? It mentioned all kinds of veggies and fruits, but no grains other than rice cereal.

Is it just me or are you now addicted to the cheesecake?

Hi, Chelle! Hope you have a good day today!

Ok, my totals for yesterday were: 1099 cals, 14 net carbs

Menu today:
B- hb egg
S- string cheese
L- broccoli slaw
S- celery w/ cream cheese
D- don't know.. some meat and veggie/salad
S- sf jello

Since I don't know what's for dinner yet, I don't know what the stats will be yet.

Good morning ladies! I'm going to repost my results from last night in case anyone wants to see them.

My weight went from 282 lbs, to 255 lbs, a total of 27 lbs.

I am really excited! I took before and afters, but they are bikini shots, and are not very attractive. The important thing is that I can tell a big difference!
Tanner has a runny nose and a cough. I hope he isn't getting sick. But, I'm sure he is. It could be teeth, but I doubt it. Ugh.

Exelis: Thanks for the info! I didn't start Tanner on wheat products, due to the direction of our Pediatrician. I hope he doesn't end up with a gluten intolerance.

Chelle: I hope you and Knowles can get some time together tonight!

Emily: WOOHOO on 3 lbs!! That's great!!!

Melissa: Your menu looks yummy!

Jen: I hope Murphy gets to sleeping again! Tanner has started waking a few times during the night. I have no idea why. He gets flipped over onto his belly and then he's really awake. I'm hoping this improves for us.

Beth: Have a good day today!!

Tracy: Glad your back is doing a bit better. Good job on the workouts!

Wow. You are truly melting What an accomplishment!! Keep up the good work!
Sorry Tanner isn't feeling well. Maybe allergies? Katie's nose started running clear again yesterday.

Ugh Dar. Hate it when that happens (power outtage)
Hope things are back up and running soon.

Hey Girls~

Uh Oh.....Dar's polishing her boots!

Well, I finally got Reilly back to sleep around 9am; he got up at 6am to eat, and he usually goes right back to sleep but was wide awake this morning.

I am so excited about those 3 lbs. Granted, only one of them "counts", since I had that 2 lb gain yesterday morning (grrr..TOM), but it is still really motivating to see a loss!

Sarah~ Just wanted to tell you again how awesome you're doing! Hope Tanner's feeling better soon!

Dar~ Nope, we won't be able to see W live, but we'll be watching on TV! I do plan to stay on the base today though, since I'm sure if I leave I'll have a heck of a time getting back through the gate. Sorry about the power outage, hope it doesn't make work too difficult today!

Tracy~ Do you like Curves? My sister goes & she loves it! I was going to try it, but my DH's schedule is too unpredictable to be able to rely on him to watch the kids. So for now, I'm going to stick to DVD's that I can do here.

Beth~ Hope you're able to have a restful day!

KJen~ That's great that you got to go to Karate! I hope Murphy's night last night was just a "blip" in his new & improved schedule & that he gets back to good sleeping tonight!

Melissa~ Mmmmmm....cheesecake!

Probably just a cream of wheat would be best.

Bread and milk whizzed up in a blender would work fine, too, I'm sure.

Hey, it's kinda cool having a guy in our thread
Thanks again for the insight Andrew!

Emily- I love Curves! The first month, I was thinking, hmmm, this is kinda boring, just doing the same thing over and over. At the end of the month, after approx. 10 workouts, I had lost 7 lbs, 2% body fat and 5.5 inches all over
I have grown to love going. They switch the machines around all the time, play fun games to keep you motivated, blast some really cool music etc.

Now, every month, when I am weighed and all, I see I have lost.

Love the avi Dar!

Just popping in to answer Lauren from yesterday. I'm not officially pg yet (no + yet) but I'm pretty sure I am. I'm crampy, lower backache, etc. I didn't get a + 'till 11 dpo last time and I'm only 10 days past today. I've already burned through about 5 sticks though! Luckily I can find them online for only $2 apiece or I'd be broke. I should know by tomorrow or July 1 at the latest (when AF is due).

Hi to everyone.

Well, I thought I did, but it's looking really pixelated & crappy when I do it now. (Not clear, like yours.) I think it has something to do with changing the file from jpg to gif, it really affects the quality. Oh well.

Morning guys! Got all the kiddos today so won't be around much. Elliott slept till 9 this morning, he was outside all day yesterday, then had 2 1/2 hrs of VBS last night. I wish I could sleep that long! Ate really well yesterday, can't wait for TOM to leave and it's only been 2 days For as well as I'm doing I still plan on cheating next monday. I'm not gonna eat a bag of sugar or anything, but i will be enjoying myself

Andrew ~ Thanks for getting us going And for the info!

Chelle ~ Hope Elana feels better now, you are doing a great job. I really want to try M/E but I'm not ready yet. Since I'm still losing slowly but surly, I'll wait till I stall. Good luck

Melissa ~ Have fun at work! What kind of pasta are you having? I LOVE dreamfields

KJen ~ Glad you had a good time at Karate Class. Murphy must know when you're gone, Elliott used to do that when he was a baby. He'd sleep fine when I was home, but if I went out I swear he'd wake up the second I walked in the door, and stay awake all night

Beth ~ Have a great day recovering from your crazy weekend , and have fun with hubby!

Emily ~ on the 3 lbs You and Chelle are my hero's!

Tracy ~ Hope your back is well. Have a great day
