~*~*Losin' The Baby Fat- Weekend Edition 6/25-6/26~*~*

Guess I will get us all started this weekend.

Hunter woke up He is currently having a sippy cup and watching a Baby Einstein Baby Mozart. OMG, speaking of farts...I think he is up tonight because of MEGA GAS!!!!!

Yeah, Chels we won't ever see each other We told our friend that we would do it, as it turns out he is going to charge us $1,000/month for rent and utilities (we have to provide cell phones since we won't have a land line) Right now, that is what we pay just for rent (heat/HW included) so it is a good move if it all works out.

Guess why I am up?

Little man decided to go right back to sleep with his paci at 11:30pm and didn't wake to hurse until 4am.

But he forgot to let my boobies know, so I am having to pump to relieve the engorgement of going 8+ hours without him nursing.

Dare I that we are finally headed in the right direction and tonight was not a fluke?

See you when the sun comes up.

Murphy is down for a nap.

Melissa~ thanks. I sure hope it wasn't a fluke. I really wouldn't have a problem with him going to bed at 8pm (normal bedtime) and waking at 1 or 2am. I need a little transition from 3 times a night (every 3 hours) to once at 4am. It was almost a little drastic. If I have to get up and pump that keeps me up just about the same length of time.

But, I repeat, I am not complaining. I will take any sign of improvement, even if it means waking with watermelons on my chest. Definitely better than him coming fully awake in the middle of the night.

Elana was fidgety all night but I do believe I saw 2 more white spots on her upper gums where her eye teeth will come in. Perhaps that's the crankiness lately. For the life of me I can't remember what teeth PJ got first...but eye teeth over top 2 seem odd to me.

Went in to get Elana at 6am and found her rolling around her crib with 2 blankets that typically hang off the end of her crib, all around her! Not a clue how she got them....so I'm wondering....when did you all feel comfortable allowing your babies to have blankets/stuffed animals in the crib with them?

Weight showed 276 today which is one below sig...but not counting it. Taking PJ to the movies and haven't eaten yet today...so this will be tempting.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend....we're slowly babyproofing because someone is learnign to get up on her knees.

Chelle- Call me paraniod, but Hunter didn't have anything until he was a year old. Everyone kept telling me I was worrying too much, but heck, I did what made me feel comfortable. If she is sitting on her own and can get into a sitting position, she probably pulled them down herself!

Oh you can do it!!! Stay away from that movie junk food! Maybe you can stick some string cheese, or something else in your purse?

Babyproffing, I don't think it will ever end? Everytime we think we got everything, he does something else (like start climbing).

KJen- No, I'm sure you are not complaining.

Good Morning Ladies!

DH left for New Orleans this morning for a bachelor party. He will be back tomorrow morning. I wanted to go so bad, but I am supposed to go to a bachelorette party tonight. I think I am going to cancel, I just don't feel like going. I told them I would be up in the air about going when they planned it. I'm just not in the mood to party yet. I guess I am obligated being in the bridal party, but I am 31 with a new baby and they are all around 22 and blond and skinny! I'm going to stand out in this wedding.

Anyway, Jonathan has instructions to bring me back a po boy and bread pudding (great way to start my diet)! He took a small cooler with him. Funny thing is, he didn't want to go to his party either (two separate weddings). He has bad night blindness, and I usually guide him around at night to keep him from tripping or running in to things. He knows that once he adds alcohol into the mix, that things can be difficult for him as far as getting around in NO. He said he knows that if I was there, I would take care of him and he is nervous about being on his own.

Hamilton is sleeping....our schedule was weird...12:00am, 4:00am, 7:00am and he is still sleeping. I'm going to wake him up. But, I was glad to see him go 12 - 4, that is his first 4 hours in his crib. The 7 - 11 was in bed with me.

Going to go get my snooger booger.

Morning, ladies!! Hope you all got some sleep. I feel good after 7 straight hours (12-7). I'm so happy to have Alexis home and I know she is happy too. She sat on my lap for over an hour last night and just hugged me!!

Chels-I know you don't wanna motorcycle, silly, you want him to put as much timing and planning something special like you did!!

Melissa-Good luck w/ the new housing situation. Can you post pics if you go look at the house??

Dena-I hope hubby does okay...I would be worried!! If you don't want to go to the bachlorette party then don't, but don't let how you THINK you look stop you!*hugs* Everyone understands you're a new mom though, so I'm sure they would understand if you cancled because of it!!

Chelle-I hope you have fun at the movie!! I wanna see that too. Maybe tomorrow Alexis and I can have a Mommy and me day!!

KJen- I can so relate to "watermelon on my chest" feeling!! I woke up this morning and was TOTALLY full. I went in and woke Jonathan to eat cause I couldn't handle it!

Jared still isn't back from his job (had an away one), so I'm "single" mommying it again...for the past 2 days...I hate that!! Hope everyone has a good weekend....and get on to chat if you can cause I'm gonna be home alone, bored...*sighs*

Dena- Don't feel obligated to go just because you are in the wedding party. They know that you are a new mommie and Hamilton needs to go everywhere with you. I hope your DH is okay and does remember to bring your food request!

Vanessa- I'll be on and off all day :-) I think if I hit 3,000 posts I will have a sig change? Glad you got 7 hours of sleep, I'm jealous!! As for pictures, I can post one, it doesn't show the entire house/greenhouse/sunroom/large back deck, but you can at least see the front portion of it :-) Hold on....

You can't see any of the back part of the house. I think Andrew's favorite part is the 22X11 Kitchen!!!! Right now we have a kitchen that is like 4X4 (well, maybe a bit bigger, but it is a one person kitchen for sure!)

I love it Melissa!! That is beautiful!!!

This is the house we are buying...my favorite part is the kitchen too...and the screened in porch....it's 5100 sq ft, but only 2700 is finished right now. The good part is that part of it is a 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment with full kitchen, breakfsat area and living room which stays rented for $600 a month. The apartment is next to the basement (connected), but the tenant pulls around to the back of the house so you never see them.

It's more house than we wanted right now, but by keeping it rented, we make the same house payment as we do in our current 1300 sq ft house.

Wow Dena, I wish that we could afford a house right now, but the housing market up here is unreal. So, I find it lucky that our friend is going to (hopefully) purchase this one and Hunter will have a yard and we will be saving $$, able to pay off debt, and save up for a house of our own!!! Your new house is absolutely gorgeous!!

Oh course, this plan also puts Baby #2 off a little bit more in the distant future, but that is fine with me. I'm not as concerned as I was before with a big age difference.

Remember, it took you 9 months to get the weight, on......

For me, it is taking more than 9 months to get it off, but then again, i didn't start until Hunter was 11 months old.

Morning ladies. I haven't been around for a while. Things have been unreal busy and I have only really been able to post and run.

The houses are beautiful! Puts my little 1500 Sq FT home to shame.

Glad to hear some of you are getting better sleep. I love it when the little ones finally get on some kind of schedule.

Had to take Elizabeth to the dr. I put her into daycare three weeks ago and its seems she had developed a lot of sinus congestion as a result. I wanted to make sure she didn't have some sort of infection. They said she was okay, just to use saline drops and get a humidifier and if she isn't better by the end of nwxt week to call them. It really got bad when we switched over from the cooler to the A/C. The air got dried out.

The neat thing about taking her though was the weighing. This little chunk weighs 19 lbs! And she hasn't even started solid food yet. Still nursing.

Thought I would post a few updated pics.:

She actually has enough hair for piggy tails now.

On the personal front, things are going well. I havent lost anymore weight, but thankfully havent gained it either. I have not been eating so good. Been very stressed out at work and it shows in my eating habits
I think the only that has been keeping me from gaining is nursing and pumping.

She is stunning! I'm so jealous of you breast feeding mommies. Hamilton is such a pig when it comes to feeding from a bottle! He makes such a mess.

ETA - Does she give you any problems when you put pig tails in? That's great she sits still for you or you have some mighty fast hands. The pig tails are my favorite!!

Melissa-Wow, that looks GREAT!!! I'm sure Hunter will LOVE having a yard to play in!! How will that work with baby proofing and such??

Dena-*hugs* I SO know the feeling. Just remember that you WILL get the weight off...little jackets is still VERY young!!

Shandril-It's so great to "see" you!! Your little one is ADORABLE!!! I love the piggy tales too!! She is a little chunk...Jonathan is 10 days older than her and weighs 2 lbs. less (and he has started solids and breastfeeds)!

She will actually sit still for me for the most part. I got her used to the brush early and so it was easy to progress to the pigtails.

ETA: An now I plan to get her ears pierced. She's gonna be such a girly girl!

Yeah, Elizabeth is very big for her age. The NP I saw today said she looks more like an eight month old. There is a baby at the school she goes to that is exactly a month older, but is only 14 lbs. But Ciera (her older sister) was like that too. And now she is right at 50th percentile for height and height, So I am guessing its gotta be my milk. Because Ciera thinned right out once she weaned.

Wow! Both houses are great looking!! I had looked at the 6,000 sf houses last night and they look huge!! I can't imagine living in one with just one family... you'd never see each other. LOL

Audrey slept from 1130 to 7. This must be the weekend of long sleeping babies!

Got to go feed her...

Hey Mommies!!

Vanessa- Baby proofing won't be a problem. Larry has a 9 month old Husky named Ivy and the house needs to be "baby" proofed for her also. It will be interesting to see our two cats intact with Ivy...the've never left our apartment, so a dog is foreign to them.

Vanessa- Audrey's feeling much better.. Thanks for asking! Sorry to be gross, but her boogers are drying up and her "sinus breath" has cleared up. The hard part is getting her medicine in her.. Wish it wasn't so pink! I think the medicine company has a thing going with the detergent company... :-)

DH is going to work tonight starting at 6 PM. It's really hard work keeping the baby quiet so he can sleep! Whew... at least she's down for a nap too! Only bad thing is that I can't clean or do anything involving noise.... Why is that I only want to clean when I can't??

So.. I'm watching To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything.. It's not fair that Patrick Swayze and Wesley Snipes look better in drag than I look in real life.. LOL

I have the same issue!! I get home at 3:30pm and Knowles is in bed by 3:45....then Elana goes down around 9pm when he wakes to go to work. So I have to do dinner, pick up the place and watch her. We live in an apartment, so it's hard to keep her quiet while he sleeps. He's found he sleeps more soundly if the tv in the bedroom is on as white noise.

good luck hon, I know how hard it can be.
