Good mornin' wonderful and beautiful mommies !!!!

Is it REALLY already friday????? Wooo Hooo !!

Well my girlfriend called tonight and canceled our half day Napa get away.... man !!! Her son picked up that foot and mouth thing at preschool. Wonder if i can talk anyone else into going, i was SO looking forward to it !!!! Not to mention one of the reasons why we where doing it was because the guys are having poker night that night and I have not gone any where alone for more than an hour since Payton has been born. Enough of my whining !!!

Re postin' for Michelle cause she asked..... and Elana is SO cute !!!

CHELSEA - Can you tell who the newborn mommies are?!?! LMAO! Actually, Ezra's sleeping, I just have insomnia. Drinking some hot tea w/cream to try to get me sleepy. Hmmm.

DH made a really flippant remark on his way home, and I didn't talk to him much tonight because of it. We usually talk on his way home, and at this time Ezra was screaming. He had gas. I wanted to cry too. Well, I told him that he needed to hurry home because I was frustrated, "before I strangle the poor baby"... I'd never strangle him, and Hank knows that, but he says, "Oh, so when I get home, I'm just gonna get pissed off at you for getting mad at the baby?" WTH? So, I just hung up. He got home, and came in the room, and was trying to be nice, but I told him that I was pissed at him for acting like he'd be mad at me for being frustrated. He said, "No, I don't get mad because you're frustrated, but you say these really mean things." Okay, so we established that I probably shouldn't have stated that I could strangle him... But I didn't mean it, and didn't even say it in a mean tone. Anyway... I'm just on edge, I guess. I feel like a Single SAHM. Sometimes I think being a single mom was easier. Okay, so being a single mom of 3 wouldn't be, but anyway.

Dar ~ so sweet that I inspired you. your composition is great, noticed that a couple pics are not quite in focus and the lighting could use some twekin'. Here are a few tricks that I use in pinch. I think that indirect day light with the flash turned off takes the best pics but if for some reason you are in a darker room or it is night see if you camera has a low flash setting if it does not try taping a tin piece of tissue over the flash to "filter" it a bit so it is not so harsh. Not sure how you took the first couple but it looks like it may be w/o the flash but using maybe a lamp. Now the black and whites, with digital I prefer to take them in color and then use my editing software to change it to b&w that way I can play with the contrast. It is really easy to get professional looking pics yourself. Take that first pic with the boppy. Next time grab a solid color blanket and throw it over the boppy and the back of the couch before you set her in it. Viola you got yourself a baby backdrop. You don’t know how many times I have used a white sheet as a backdrop in a pinch....LOL Also next time you want to do a b&w close up try a darker background. Another thing I find that when using my friends cameras it is hard to do the macro type close ups without it going slightly out of focus. So as a little cheat with you camera at the highest pixels get as close as you can while still maintaining a sharp image take the photo and then crop it with editing software to get that nice tight close up..... wheeew and now I will shut the hell up !!!!

hope you don’t mind I did some editing on your images, please let me know if I over stepped my boundaries .... I only said all the above and edited because you asked. They would have been more clear had i used the originals. I hate know it all's and DO NOT want to come off as one !!

Payton has been down since 11, i dont bother going to bed because David will be home at 12:30 making a bunch of noise.

I feel you on the wanting to strangle the baby, i have said similar things. Lucky for David he does not say anything or i might just strangle him !! Actually he laughs when i get all wierded out... he is twisted and thinks the thing i say are funny. The othernight i was bouncing him and crying because my arms where SO sore from holding/rocking/bouncing him and i said out loud "why do you make me hate you" looked down to see that he had the biggest smile and was just looking at me, melted my heart and made me feel about this big (size of an ant...lol) I also feel like a single mom Tues thru Friday, it sucks !!! We will get through this !! At least we have each other to vent to !! David is mad at me so i am NOT looking forward to him getting home....... hopefully he cooled off in the last 11 hours !!

I'm so glad it's Friday!! State exited yesterday so they're gone finally. Plus I know who reported the false allegations...takes all I have not to personally thank them for getting me a paid day off for me to get drunk and have fun with hubby

Ah well, just makes them look stupid in the end!

Well, scale was nice to me this morning, another lb gone, so I am at 194. If anyone wants to send me a 4lb whoosh fairy, please do so, because my personal goal of 190 by my bday just doesn't seem like it is going to happen. (I was going for 190 by July 2nd next Friday, weight in).....Oh well, maybe it will be a belated bday gift :-)

Wooo Hooo its 5 am and Payton is just getting up for the first time since 11, the only thing that sucks is that David didnt get home till' 3:30. I crashed with the TV on and woke up in a panic about 3 when i realized he wasnt home. Hope he goes down for another 6.....yeah right.....LOL

Good morning all! Great pictures Michelle and a wonderful lesson in photography Chels! I've been thinking that I should take some black & whites of Audrey.. I'll play around and post later!

I had a team builder yesterday at work. It was really fun and had NOTHING to do with actual work whatsoever... We were divided into teams and we had to produce a news story. My team had the repeating story, so there were 3 mini stories we had to video. I was a reporter and was so not looking forward to seeing myself on camera. I knew that I would look so heavy and I would just want to cry. When the finished product came up on the screen, our segments were all blue. Turns out our camera was busted... You could see us as shadows, so I didn't have to cry. I did sound fabulous though, and several people asked me why I didn't go into reporting.. (yeah, right! snort.. LOL)

I almost wish that I could have seen myself up there, it might have given me the big reality check that I need..

Chels, thanks for the tips! Yeah, unfortunately alot of the shots I take are at night, since that's when things finally get settled in my house. I get so frustrated with my camera because I'm having trouble finding the low flash settings. I can't seem to get it right. And when I use the flash, her skin color looks horrible. I never thought about a dark background for b/w's. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!!!!!

May I ask how you edited them? I looks like you cropped a bit and played with contrast? Anything else?

Chelle, love those pics of Elana. Were you the one that once posted about hearing a woman talking to Elana during the night? Has she ever returned?

Ok, I thought I lost my mind this morning. Alison went to sleep around 10:30 pm. She has been getting up anywhere from 3:30-5 am for changing and feeding. When my alarm went off at 6:30, I realized she had not woken me up. In a panic, I asked Rob if he got up with her. Of course, he didn't... so totally panicked I went to check on her. Sound asleep! Somehow, she had managed to get her blanket UNDER her.

When she fell asleep, it was over her legs. Not sure how she achieved that feat! When I left the house at 7:30 she was still asleep!!! That's 9 hours!!!!!

Man, she's going to be very wet and very hungry when she wakes!

Hey, Jenn... why do DH's have to be such azzes sometimes?? Ugh...

Well, Caena's at work with me today! I hope I can get some work done!

OK, so I'm a little freaked out. I found a brown spot on one of Sophie's teeth. Could this be a cavity when she just got teeth recently?!

She does eat during the night but we don't leave a bottle in her crib with her. Now I realize that I should've been brushing her teeth too. AGH! What toothbrushing routine do you guys have?

We usually wipe Lexi's teeth twice a day....after breakfast and then after dinner....we just wipe them with a warm washrag

Yeah, unfortunately alot of the shots I take are at night, since that's when things finally get settled in my house. I get so frustrated with my camera because I'm having trouble finding the low flash settings. I can't seem to get it right. And when I use the flash, her skin color looks horrible. I never thought about a dark background for b/w's. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!!!!! May I ask how you edited them? I looks like you cropped a bit and played with contrast? Anything else? Chelle, love those pics of Elana. Were you the one that once posted about hearing a woman talking to Elana during the night? Has she ever returned? Ok, I thought I lost my mind this morning. Alison went to sleep around 10:30 pm. She has been getting up anywhere from 3:30-5 am for changing and feeding. When my alarm went off at 6:30, I realized she had not woken me up. In a panic, I asked Rob if he got up with her. Of course, he didn't... so totally panicked I went to check on her. Sound asleep! Somehow, she had managed to get her blanket UNDER her. When she fell asleep, it was over her legs. Not sure how she achieved that feat! When I left the house at 7:30 she was still asleep!!! That's 9 hours!!!!! Man, she's going to be very wet and very hungry when she wakes! Hi, Melissa! Another July baby here! Hey, Jenn... why do DH's have to be such azzes sometimes?? Ugh... Well, Caena's at work with me today! I hope I can get some work done!

I found a brown spot on one of Sophie's teeth. Could this be a cavity when she just got teeth recently?! She does eat during the night but we don't leave a bottle in her crib with her. Now I realize that I should've been brushing her teeth too. AGH! What toothbrushing routine do you guys have?
