Morning ladies...

Chelsea ~ LMAO Your little girl is growning up. I remember how much of a panic I was always in TTC. You were so helpful!! Payton is SO cute! He has the roundest most perfect little face. I love the picture of him rubbing his eye.

Alli ~ Still crossing my fingers for you!

Jackie ~ I have been trying to drink my water at work. I get so busy though. But I do try to drink a big, big mug full in the morning before work and then drink it during, when I think of it and then when I get home that is all I drink.

Kaillean ~ I am a procratinator too...so I feel for you. I have a huge Plan Audit due tomorrow and it is barely started!!

Becca ~ Glad things are going well with Luke. I guess having a baby who sleeps a lot can be a good thing and a bad thing. It's probably best to get him on some sort of schedule where he gets used to sleeping at night more.

Grace ~ Great u/s picture!!

So, my back is still really sore and DH's aunt has me in a panic. She keeps telling me that her next door neighbor had a really sore back for days. She kept saying exactly what I was saying "My back has been sore...but not this sore. It hurts so bad!" and it turns out she was in labor!! So now I am all paranoid. Is this anything to be concerned about...should I call the doctor? It isn't any better today.

Well, tonight is my first Prepared Childbirth Class. Kinda nervous. We were told to bring two pillows and a blanket and I really didn't want it to be a lamaze class or anything, but I suppose they will do a bit of everything. Oh well. The only other thing that stinks is that the class is about 30 minutes from home and it is from 7:00 - 9:30. It is close to where I work, so I can't even go home first for dinner and I am not going to be getting home and into bed until past 10:00. DH is not happy about going to this class.

Well, I should get some work done. BBL

Good Morning Everyone!

Chels hoff-Wonderful pictures from yesterday! He has the cutest round head.

Becca-I too would be terrified to see blood in his spitup. How are you feeling?

SmileyAmy-Sorry your back is sore. It could be a sign of labor, but lets hope not! Good luck at your class tonight. Take snacks. They understand. My class had the same title. They will go over everything from natural to medicated.

BBL,
Jackie

Well, today is D-Day for me. Still nothing.

I thought that I felt a contraction last night, but who knows, it may have just been my imagination. I haven't slept well in a long time. I took yesterday off of work with the hope of catching up a bit. Of course, the phone rang all day and the neighbor mowed his lawn for three hours, so much for getting sleep!

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow at 1pm. Hopefully he will find that I have at very least begun to dilate, though this whole no-contractions thing really makes me wonder.

Hmmm...maybe that's what this intense back pain is for me!!! Oh man, I hope, I hope, I hope!!!

Good morning, mommies-to-be.

Amy, way to go on the water. I am sure that I don't drink that much. I try to slam some when I remember, but I think you are getting more in than I am. You should probably call your doc about that back pain. It is probably nothing, but better to be on the safe side.

Hello, Jackie!

Jehcekah, happy D-Day! I can relate to your day yesterday. Anytime I try to rest during the day, there is always all kinds of activity, phone ringing, dogs barking (mine), and the house next door is under major renovation, so lots of sounds from over there.

It is pouring rain here, but I am kind of happy about it. It has been hot, and hard to sleep for a few days. This is kind of nice. Rain can be kind of comforting, when you live in Seattle.

Hi Ladies! I'm following your stories! Mostly lurking. We put a contract on a house (we weren't even looking) and have a contract on our house in the matter of a little over a week, so we have been very busy.

Kaillean - Thanks for asking about me. I MUST tell you that if you have a rough few first weeks like me (and many others)....it completely disappears when your baby starts smiling. It is the most unbelievable experience. He started about two weeks ago, and every day they get bigger and bigger. He's a little chatter box too making all kinds of sounds. I'm in Heaven!

He's growing SOOO fast. Already around nine pounds. I'm in love.

He says "Hi" to all of you!!

Oh yeah! I take back wishing he would hurry up and grow. I literally see a difference just about on a daily basis. Especially when I have to adjust his car seat straps every time we go on a trip.

I'm already missing him being a baby and he's still one!!!!

jehcekah-Sorry things aren't progressing like you wanted. I am thinking of you. Good luck at your appointment tomorrow!

Grace-Glad you enjoy the rain. It's good sleeping weather! I don't think I could handle living in Seattle.

GoJackets-What a big boy! He is adorable! Those smiles do wonders for a stressed out new mommy. Good luck with your house situation. You may be moving soon!

Hi Dar20-Very cute avi!

I am on the MS rollercoaster. Two good days followed by one day of feeling miserable. At least it is predictable.

Thinking of Alli,
Jackie

Dena ~ Awww...Rudy and his one eye!! It has healed nicely. And, what a great picture.

Maybe I will call the doctor...I just don't want to seem whiny. I know you are going to get sore being pregnant. It's just that it hurts to even stand up sometimes!

LOL! He had to have it removed. Most third trimester moms here remember all of the drama! We thought we might lose all of him, but ended up just losing the eye!

Hi littlegunshots!

I have never taken them before I missed a period. With both DS and this pregnancy I could not get a HPT to read positive until I was a week late. It just depends on how much money you want to spend on tests! Good Luck!

LGS, I have heard several people say that if you use a First Response test, you can test up to 5 days before your missed period. Personally, I always wait until after my missed period, as the tests are expensive.

How many days do you have until your missed period?

Amy--I hope your class goes well. Sorry your back is hurting. I'd call the doc if I were you. Better safe than sorry .

jehcekah--I hope something happens for you soon!

Grace--Enjoy the rain. We could really use some here.

Dena--I love the pics of Hamilton and the cats! The first one where he's waving at us with one cat beside him and another in the background cracks me up . What do the cats think of him? My friend has brought her little girl down a couple times. The first time (she was 5 weeks old) the cats were afraid of her. The most recent time (she was 5 months old) the cats were obsessed with her stuff, but could care lesss about her.

Jackie-Have you thrown up? I haven't, but I have horrible heartburn! I was feeling better last week, but this week feel a bit worse.

littlegunshots--I took my first test about 5 days before my period was due. I got a VERY faint positive. The last test I took (yes, it took me several tests to actually believe it) was 3 days before my period was due and it was clearly positive. I used the First Response test.

I swear this cold is just not going away. I feel a little better today. Hopefully this weekend I will be back to 100%. I got a funny email from my Grandma this morning about how my cousin's daughter was at her house and she was afraid she'd want to use 'the' baby blanket! I asked them (Dad and Grandma) not to tell the entended family until we told my Mom and DH's parents. Grandma said she is bursting at the seams to tell everyone! Heck, I just want to go up there and get that darn blanket before someone else wanders off with it.

DH wants to tell people too. He said it is getting harder and harder not to say anything. Only 1.5 more weeks until the 4th and we tell (the rest) of the family!!!

Louise-I haven't thrown up yet, but I have been REALLY close twice. I just get queasy around 9:00AM. A light snack usually helps. On my bad days my stomach is gassy and I burp alot. Sorry if that is TMI.

Sorry you are having problems with heartburn. Are you taking anything?

Good Luck keeping the secret! We let DS tell everyone. He is very proud that he is going to be a big brother.

I hope you get to feeling better soon,
Jackie

OMG Dena, Hamilton is so cute! I can't believe how much he has grown since you last posted pics. Are you still BFing, or did you make the switch to formula. Whatever you're doing - it's working! What a cutie.

Grace, we have had nothing but rain here. It was hot on Monday, the first nice day in forever it seems like. Crappy summer so far. I hope it gets better for our holiday in August.

LGS - I tested positive at 9 days past ovulation, so about 6 or so days before TOM was due. It was very faint then - I almost didn't believe it, but the tests got darker every day. I also used a First Response test.

Amy -- sorry you have a sore back. I hope you get some good info out of the classes tonight. My friend was really glad she went. Tell your DH to buck up!

Hi Dar, Jackie, Mrs. Sarah, and Louise (and everyone who hasn't checked in yet).

Hope D-Day proves to the THE DAY for you Jecekah!

Nothing new to report here. Another day or two of keeping my head down and getting lots of work done should get me over the worst of the hump. Why can't I just be independenly wealthy!!

Hey ladies. Luke is sleeping like a champ. I was worried but I think it is changing. He was up for about an hour this morning. He is nursing well except he doesn't nurse for long. He gets tired and falls asleep!

Regarding BFing. It is really hard to get the latch thing right. I have it right now, but I'm still pretty sore and today is one week. It does get better though. I can't stress enough how important it is to get help if you can. I didn't have the LC come out this time but talked to one in the hospital and a Lactation coach on the phone.

I'm not sure what put me into labor last week....maybe he was ready...maybe the internal that morning....the castor oil....or orgasam. I wish I actually would have been able to wait and plan an induction since I had him so fast. 3 hrs labor total. My DD was 7 hrs total...DS#1 was 22 hrs. I went so fast I really was a wreck.

I didn't mean to freak anyone out with my story or the pain thing. The feeling of contractions are really strange. They start out like gas pains, then gas pains with cramps...then onto really bad cramps and burning. I couldn't relax at all and crying made it worse. I was either crying or kinda yelling. "Oh god" came out of my mouth many times, along with where is the anesthesialogist (sp?) I had an internal exam that put my over the top. It was like one huge contraction with pressure. I had to push. I felt like I was giving birth out my tushie though!

I recommend alot of research, planning and preparation for natural childbirth. If I had to go longer than 3 hrs like that I would have been a mess. Good thing though is I felt pretty good after birth. I was sitting in bed and up and about. I felt better than before I went into labor. That is not true now 7 days later and a bit too much activity.

I'm sorry I'm not doing personals. It is taking me 20-30 min to get this typed. LOL

All these pictures are great.

Mandy, the kangaroo care pictures are so sweet.

Chels, you sure take some great pictures. Payton is cute!

GoJ, that picture is priceless! You're cat is gorgeous. I wish mine would pose like that. He's still mad at me for bringing in a baby.
