Morning, girls, just a quick note before Alison wakes up. She screamed to wake me up then went back to sleep.
![]() Rob's surgery went well. In his words, they took out a "chunk". I don't want to tell you the details so it won't gross you out, but they took out alot of tissue, all the way down to the muscle. Unfortunately, he felt that, too. He's fine right now, just very sore and taking percocet. We won't know until 7-10 days how bad it really is, but the early indication is that it's not bad. He has to go back for some x-rays, though. And he has to wait 3 weeks before sutures can be removed! I haven't seen it yet, but we're supposed to change the bandage today. I'm not looking forward to it. I had a hard enough time looking at myself post-surgery! I'm having to dress/undress him and I'll have to help him get a sponge bath for a few days. Basically, his left arm is useless right now because he's so sore. I keep encouraging him that each day will get better.. I know after my surgery I wanted to die the first night, but felt so much better with each day.Anyways, my brother got in yesterday with no problems. We went to the baseball game (Cardinals-Rays) last night and had a blast. We got GREAT seats from a scalper.. right behind the Cardinals dugout, 4th row. Heck, we were probably on tv! Alison had SOOO much fun. She slept for a total of about 1/2 hour while we were there. The rest of the time, she was just taking in the sights or flirting with people around us. I guess there was just so much to see she didn't want to miss it! She was all decked out in her Cardinals gear and everyone was oohing and ahhing. Of course, I have tons of pictures and will probably wait until Monday when Tom leaves to upload and post. We were talking about going to the beach today, just me, my brother, and Alison, while Rob stays home to rest. I'm so tired, I don't really feel like taking Alison, but I can't leave her home with the invalid. Chelle, we're going to Siesta Key. Ever been? It's my FAVORITE! Perhaps going to the game again tonight.Tomorrow, plan is to go to the baseball game (again, I know... we never get to see the Cardinals play), then probably to Clearwater beach to eat dinner. Have a good weekend! |

Morning Mommies!!!
Chelle- Sorry you have to work this weekend...... Hopefully you will see that "other" number tomorrow! Dar- Glad that your hubby is doing okay! I still have my fingers crossed that it isn't anything serious! Sounds like you will be having a BLAST this weekend!! Well, Andrew found out last night that the testing isn't today (the store manager was incorrect), the testing is on Monday....(this is just going to look cute, me calling in sick Friday AND Monday, but you gotta do what you gotta do!), so we are hoping that he gets a call this weekend regarding it. I'm still annoyed that nobody can figure these things out, but I guess that is what happens when you get a district without HR Managers and Store Managers are running things........ We are going out to dinner tonight with friends (LongHorn Steakhouse), I'll be staying on plan easily tonight!! On another note, Andrew told me that I am getting my "curves" back, I haven't had them since pre-pregnancy, so this is a good sign!!!! I am also in a pair of jeans that I bought to go back to work in and then couldn't fit into them because I started to gain too much weight! |

Dar: So glad to hear that hubby is doing okay! That sounds really painful. I hope he gets to feeling 100% soon! Sounds like you guys had FUN at the game!
![]() Melissa: Well, there's still hope then, I sure hope he gets a call. How frustrating though! Yay on getting into those jeans!! Update on Zach, I got this in an email: Due to extremely cold water and divers suffering from the effects of exposure, they have had to temporarily halt the dive operation in the search for Zachary Hanson. The search will continue with watercraft, and dive operations will resume tomorrow morning. If wind conditions improve, aerial search will resume as well. Zachary, the 14 year old son of ISP CVS Sergeant Scott Hanson, was swept into the current and pulled under while swimming in the Snake River just North of Idaho Falls yesterday afternoon. Please continue to keep the entire Hanson family in your thoughts and prayers during this extremely difficult time. Mason and I are planning a trip to Costco today to stock up on diapers, formula, and misc. household stuff. I don't know why, but I love that store, so I'm really looking forward to it! ![]() |

Kristen- Have fun at the party and recital!!
Sarah- I hope they find him, that is just so horrible.....as for Costco, I'm an addict also. Not sure why, when I can't spend anything less than $200.00 just walking thru the front doors. We need to make a trip there also for some more meat. Oh, we used up some of Hunter's birthday money last night at Babies R Us and got him a Toy Box!!! The great news is, our Babies R Us ins't going to carry it anymore, so they have them on clearance...for $29.98....what a bargain!!! http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...=glance&s=baby |

On a happier note have fun shopping!Melissa ~ Great toy box, I'm sure he'll have it filled in no time! Enjoy your long weekend. And good luck to Andrew on monday. Kristen ~ on the scale, are you drinking your h2o? I'm slacking big time with that But back on tarck otherwise, I wish beer counted as h2o Dar ~ Glad to hear DH is recovering, have a great time at the beach. I hope to get the kids to the beach a t some point this summer, it is only right down the road. The weather has been so *****ty Chelle ~ Have fun at work, I'll be thinking of ya when I get there too. Drink up! WTG on the lbs, good luck saying good bye to the other tomorrow. Anyone else having photobucket problems? I can only upload one pic at a time ![]()

Look who's here on a weekend!
Well I won't be for long. I'm on this crap of a computer that I've had for about 5 years now. It is extremely slow and working on my very last nerve. It looks like a very busy weekend for me and some serious control challenges on the way. DH and I decided to go to my Class Reunion dinner tonight at HIS favorite Italian restaurant. OMG the best pasta and seafood. So I've gotta make wise choices! Thank God we were there 2 weekends ago and I kind of know what I have to do. STAY AWAY FROM THE DESSERT TRAY! Then there's father's day brunch tomorrow and a Class Reunion beach picnic. Carbs, carbs and more carbs! Day 6 Relacore ~ 225 The scale has not moved today and I was sure that I'd be down another pound atleast. Chelle ~ You are doing so great with the weight loss! Dar ~ to you and your family.Melissa ~ Woo hoo on getting those curves back. Sarah ~ for the family. We don't have Costco but we do have a Cost U Less and a Pricemart. Which does not cost you less and the prices are not ttoo smart for keeping customers. We just have to decide which one is the lesser of 2 evils.LLNM ~ I'm glad the graduation went well. Those little gradutations are so cute. I remember when my little cousing graduated from preschool he thought he was done with school forever. I aske dhim if her was giong to get a job??? Have a great weekend every one!

Hope everything works out Monday Dar-Tell Rob we all hope he feels better soon!! Can't wait to see pics. I hope TOM takes some lbs. with em!! Liz-Can't wait to see pics. Have a good night at work!! Colleen- Yes, stay away from that dessert table!!!!!!
Vanessa- Enjoy the swimming, it looks like our complex is finally get the pool open. Will have to go get passes so that Andrew and Hunter can spend some time there on hot days. Go figure it is cold outside again this week. Oh well, gotta love NE weather. Yeah, I feel like it is a run-a-round, but the potential income I guess is worth it. |

Quick Question for you all: You know those plastic covers you can put on crib mattresses? I got a crib mattress, nice, but used for my mother's house, but want to put of them on (then a nice mattress pad and comfy sheets). I know that people told me I could get them at Wal-Mart for cheap, but I can't find them? Anyone help...I'm not even sure the correct name of them.
Thanks!! |

Hmmmmmm I personally have never seen a plastic cover for a baby mattress. But you can buy mattress pads with deep pockets that cover the top/sides of the mattress. Perhaps try one of those with a flat waterproof pad then the sheet?

Morning! Happy Fathers Day to all
Melissa ~ I just use what Chelle was talking about-a quilted water proof mat pad. Got mine at Burlington, but they must have them at Wal-Mart too. Good Luck! They actually played a t-ball game yesterday, they were so funny to watch next week I'll have to remember the camcorder. There was one boy who played 1st base, but would run the bases with whomever came by. He must've slept good last night. I think he must have gone around 25 times. Here is Elliott on 1st base... ![]() Then yesterday was also the state HS playoff game, and we won It was the first time ever. The team we beat hasn't lost a game in the last 4 years so it makes it that much sweeter. We're going to Marks parents house today for a cook out to celebrate Fathers Day, 2 of his sisters birthdays, his other sisters anniversary, Our nephews 8th grade grad & Elliotts-again. I was hoping I would be called in to work tonight but no such luck Things are going well with eating-did very well yesterday, had a bacon cheese burger and salad last night at work, and I think that's it. Even getting my h2o back in. We bought Elliott a slip n' slide, hope to get that going today before the cook out but it's kinda chilly here still. Alright gotta go put Juedson down for his nap, and get some work done. See ya later ![]() Last edited by LivnLGNOmore : 06-19-2005 at 06:50 AM. |

Okay, my mother-in-law got a plastic bag-like thing for the mattress and in addition to the mattress pad/crib sheets. I guess I'll have Andrew ask what she has.....
We have the waterproof quilted pads on Hunter's mattress here at home. |

Hello!!! Sorry I have been MIA!!! I have been lurking. Just thought I would pop in to say "hi".
Been kinda stressed about $ and stuff, so I think that is kinda why I have been quiet. I hate $ unless of course I had a lot HA!!! Sounds like everyone is still doing good. I actually wore a pair of pants today that I wasn't even able to wear before I got pregnant, so I felt pretty good, but my husband informed me that I "need new bras", guess since I am not nursing I need to get some "regular" ones!! I am getting padded ones that will LIFT, holy cow!!! I haven't weighed this weekend, think I will do that tomorrow morning!!! Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things and be more involved with y'all!!! Hope everyone has a great Fathers Day and rest of the weekend!! Beth
