Losin' The Baby Fat ~ Thursday

Mornin' B-E-A uuuuutiful Mommies !!

Just waitin' for David to get home poor guy worked a 15 hr shift and he has to turn around and work a 17 hr one tomorrow.... awww man !!!

Well I decided that since I don’t *really* have baby fat to lose (although I could probably stand to loose a few lbs) I do have some baby flab.... and boy does fat weigh less than muscle !!! I am going to do my measurements on Sunday (will be 6 weeks PP) and dare I compare them to my pre pregnancy measuremnts ??!! .... need to find them first...LOL. I am afraid that they are going to depress me cause I can totally tell that my hips are WAY wider than they where before. David even said the other day "is it just me or is your waist smaller" I wish it was but because my hips are SO wide now it makes my waist look smaller. Will my hips get smaller ?? I know they will never be what they where before, but one can hope!! Well gonna try to get a bit of What to Expect reading in before the husband gets home and Payton wakes up.... its bath night !!!

xoxo Chelsea

Morning Mommies!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chelsea....I'm sure you'll tone up and those hips won't feel as big as you think they are

I'm off today/tomorrow and plan on enjoying it!! Work is so stressful with the expectation of State coming...wish they'd walk in already. Even though this makes me work 7 days straight, at least 2 of them are when the bigshots aren't around and it's much more laid back.

Scale said sig weight this morning...so "maybe" it'll start going down again. I'm definitely eating clean and feeling good!!

A BIG CONGRATS to all of you "losers" out there....you keep me motivated!!!

Hey, doing a quick driveby now since I might not be on right when I get to work...(more spreadsheets)

Chels- I think I read (I was an c-section mommie) that your hips don't go totally back to wear they are, but hopefully one of the other mommies will correct that information! I'm sure that you will be able to tone in no time! Hope you enjoyed your bath!!!

Chelle- Weekend for you!!!!!!!!! Just keep drinking that water and I bet there is a BIG WHOOSH coming for you!!!!

B- String Cheese
S- String Cheese
L- Small Salad and Chicken/Feta/Spinach Sausage
D- Steak with Veggies

Wait, that makes me have a question....I was in labor for 26 hours, Hunter was fully engaged, etc...does that mean my hips were pushed out of wack also? Hmmmmmm, or did his head have to push thru more for that to have happened?

I'm only asking because that could be why some of my pants that fit me at this weigh before are not fitting now? They all seem to be tight in the hip area.

Hey, girls.. posting while I have a chance. We are supposed to be going to Orlando for a site visit today. Not sure when we'll leave or how long we'll be gone.

Anyways, it's my understanding that the hips loosen up gradually throughout pregnancy due to hormones, no matter how you deliver. Not sure on how much more they widen if you've delivered vaginally. The problem is that once baby is born, those hormones go away so you're hips could be 'frozen' wider. Does that make sense? I've ALWAYS had wide hips, but I've been afraid to measure how much wider.

Last night, I treated myself to some sf chocolate and sf peanut butter. Not for induction, I know, but my calories were super low and I was starving. Don't look at me like that, at least it was sugar free and I'm PMS'ing! Totals for the day: 1211 cals, carbs 26, fiber 13

As I said, going on a site visit so the only meal I've had is breakfast: hb egg and 2 oz. cheese. Dinner's not planned either, as there's no food at home! Crapola.. I forgot to grab some cash for lunch. Argh.

All I can say is that I hope AF is taking a couple pounds with her when I weigh in next week. I can't believe how heavily I'm bleeding. Except for post-delivery, I've never bled this heavy!

Chelle, I hope they don't call you in! I was glad to hear the autopsy results, how about you?

Hi, Melissa!

Hey Dar!!! You're doing awesome!!

LOL @ "frozen hips".....I have never found my hips under all this fat so I'll take 'em no matter where they are, as long as I can FEEL THEM!!

Oh yeah...we were out at dinner last night at a wing place...I took Elana to bathroom to change diaper and they have a TV in there. CNN was on talking about the results....was glad to hear it proved what most knew already. I was a little surprised tho that her eyes were necrotic and she was blind. Guess it quiets the parents on the whole "she tracks the balloon and looks at us" theory. However, at the end of the local news story they did say last night the parents are seeking other medical examiners to view the results in hopes they are inaccurate. I just don't know what that would prove or why

Of course they would be skeptical, but I think they are still stuck in the "denial" phase. They need to move on and mourn her and know that she's at peace. Wonder how Jeb feels about it now.

Ok, gotta go.. bus is leaving! LOL..

Hey Cynthia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK....I'm going to repost this...and post it on the pregnancy thread. I am cleaning out Elana's drawer's and closet and finding a ton of clothes...mostly 3-6 months and some 6-9 months she's already outgrown. Most have never been worn or "barely worn" because she had so much from grandma. Someone here was nice enough to send me bigger clothes that she lacked so hubby and I would like to repay the favor.

So if anyone needs clothes for their little girl....we'd rather send them before selling them on EBay.

Hi, Melissa!
Darlene- this was my understanding about he hips as well!! I hardly have "heavy" cycles anymore...mine are very very very light since birth. I'm not complaining though. Hey I wish I could have some cheese right now without paying for it later....

Hi Mommies! Good morning. I will probably not be around a lot today- I have a meeting this afternoon.

Cyn- Great pics. Lexi is so so so adorable. I didn't see the 4 generation picture- Am i missing something??

Hi Chelese and Melissa-

Chelle- Enjoy your days off! Are you going swimming today?

Dar- I hate when I have not food in the house. I usally eat eggs for dinner if that is the case. My cousin swears that her AF are much more heavy now than ever before. Mine seem to be the same.

Weight is the same as sig- But I am not expecting to lose much more this week- since I had a big 3 pound whoosh at the beginning of the week (2 monday, 1 tuesday). I am still Cheat free and am planning to stay that way!- Jessica has rectial practice today. My mom is taking her since it is early this morning. She was so excited since she will get to dance on a "stage"- lol. Alexander is doing good. He is really starting to babble a lot. I think he is trying to say baba, mama and papa (for my papaw)- He has a really soft voice and it is so cute.

Kristen....OMG congrats on the 3 pounds!!!! Would love to have your whoosh fairy stop and see me, but alas, I'm not counting on it LOL

Probably no swimming today....just cleaned out Elana's closets/drawers and need to go through it all and see what's what for sale/giving away. Then gotta hop in shower and run to get diapers.

I have to say....FINALLY for the first time in 8 months I was able to pay all our bills on time and in full, and have money leftover for groceries, gas, necessities. So glad the light at the end of the tunnel is closer each day. I can't thank you all enough for your support through this trying time for us OK, I gotta stop before I cry.

Good morning ladies

I agree that no matter what kind of birth you have, your hips spread. I had a c-section with both of mine and my hips did spread. It took 6 months or more for my jeans to fit again after my daughter. Of course, I am pear shaped and that is were most of my weight is anyways . Chels, you are so lucky you didn't gain much weight...both my pregnancies were 70lbs or more. I lost most of it by the first week, but still struggling with some of it.

Cyn - hey neighbor, great pics. Lexi is so precious.

Okay from yesterday...

Coleen- Lexi said MAMA before she said DADA and I was thrilled to death. I'm so happy she is saying MAMA now..I know you wanted to cry!! WTG on the .5lbs...let us know how the Relacore goes...

Karla- Good morning neighor...Hi neighbor...could you be...oh please won't you be my neighbor..sorry..couldnt resist...Mr. Roger's was a funny man when I was little, I LOVED HIM!!

Did you see this from yesterday..

..Oh can't wait to hear more about your kiddos...sounds like a blended family...WE HAVE LOTS OF THOSE ON HERE!! So you work at WPAFB huh? I use to work for a gov't contractor and most of our people worked at the base. Thats sucks about work...I hate waiting in line,...when I'm in line waiting I think of a gazillion other things to do with my time. Do you have pictures??? Will have to get together and work out or something!!

I thought it got lost int he gazillion post we had yesterday!!

Emily- Yes he lives in Cliffdale. He is stationed in Germany but dad's mom and sister lives in NC and that's who Tyler is going to going to visit first. He's down there every summer...so you might see him on the streets..it would be funny because you will be like..."that's Tyler" and your DH will look at you like and who is that? LOL

Liz- Looking good girly!! That pic of DH snoozing is hilarious!! Poor fellow!!!!

Vanessa- I love the pics of your house!! BTW you are SMOKIN' in that outfit GIRLY!!! I am having one of those days now where I feel hot!!!! Maybe I'll have someone take a pic of me.....

Chelle-thanks for the compliments on my hubby...I'll keep him for a while!! I love the pic of ELana showing off her stomach..that is too cute!!!

Anyways...

Work- well let's see my boss is gone to Ireland until July 1 so I have no boss until then! On the weight loss front I am now back down to siggy so I guess those 2 lbs were water. I worked out again last night and am going tonight as well!

My menu for today

B- egg/sausage sandwich on LC bagel
L- ??? meeting SIL for lunch
D-?? going out again..probably Ruby Tuesday

I have 24 ounces of water and 12 ounces of green tea down the drain already!!

Cynthia

Thanks Kristen!! I'm partial but I think she's pretty darn cute.

Karla...ya snuck in on me!! I had CSections with both of my kids but at my level of obesity, who knows what my hips did or have done since. I gained 80 with my son, but only 23 with Elana and have long since lost that....onward to better things! GREAT to have you here!!

Cynthia.....you better keep him!! Too many women here will steal him if not I have no problem admitting it...there's just something about a smooth/shiny bald black man. There's 2 at work...swooonn..and hubby knows!! LOL

I just looked over those pics again LOL....you can see how funky her toes are in those. They have been that way since birth...the whole "one up, one down, one up, one down" thing. Hubby hates it that I laugh at them.

OK time to fess up.....I have been having waves of nauseau, having one now in fact...for about a week. I just had my PAP last Monday and have had regular periods (TOM was just last week and was completely normal). I am starting to get paranoid here. I have been chalking it up to being overstressed due to work, bills, the lawyer, etc. I really don't want to take a PG test because it would not be a good thing if we were pregnant....plus I'm on the pill since Sunday. Hmmm maybe that's what's causing it?

Chelle - Just saw the lastest Elana pictures...she is so beautiful. My DS just scoots around on his back. He hates being on his stomach, so he probably won't be rolling anytime soon.
