What's the one thing that you won't skimp on?

For either baby or mommy?

For me it would have to be (besides the case of Dermoplast ) a crib. I remember for my DD I got a cheap crib and every time I raised it or lowered it & she was asleep it would scare the crap out of her. I spent the extra $$ and got my DS a nice crib that was quiet, one handed, and really nice.

A comfortable chair.. whether it be an old rickety recliner that is so comfy your butt impression is on it or a glider or rocking chair. It must be comfy! It doesn't have to be expensive, though. We bought a rocking chair and stained it ourselves. And of course I have my old recliner.

As far as paying for quality, I love my Zooper stroller. It reclines all the way to accomodate newborns or sleeping babies, accomodates car seats, has a sun shade, a rain shade, is light, easily maneuverable. I love love love it. It's already seen many hours in different terrains, and Alison is only two months old.

A good stroller. I went through 3 strollers with my first & went ahead & bought the "good" one for my second.

Bath products. I have to spluge on Baby Burt Bee's products, they are soooooo WONDERFUL! My "must have's" are the bar soap, bar shampoo, buttermilk lotion and last but deffinatly not least, the diaper ointment.
