LOSIN' THE BABY FAT - Monday!!

Getting us started!

Well.....I dunno anymore.....I cheated over the weekend, ate cake last night....and the scale read 277 this morning Oh well LOL...we'll see if it sticks, maybe TOM leaving gave me a whoosh regardless of the bad weekend.

Back on track today though...determined to make that Oct. 1 goal!! Now I just have to figure out how to get back to doing my WATP workouts with schedules and Elana.

This is my short week at work, hopefully it will stay that way. We're expecting State survey this week and if they walk in, there's a possibility I will be called in on Thurs/Fri since I'm responsible for my unit. The worst part is that also means I'll probably be working 14 days straight...UGGHH. We'll see...I know my assistant has already called off for today...fun, fun!

Have a great day ladies!!!

Morning, ladies!

Chelle, was the cake good? I bet it was! Did you get any good stuff for your birthday?

DH got me another gift for our anniversary (darn him! LOL).. he upgraded the memory on my old laptop and also ordered a battery for it. Funny thing is.. it's not really our laptop. It's from my old company. It was basically dissolved, and so we all just took what we could. At least I got something out of that nightmare.

Ok, my recap for the weekend:

Saturday - cheated and had a bite of birthday cake, but ate mostly carb free the rest of the day to make up for it.
B- hb egg
L- cheese, inside of cuban sandwich, bite of birthday cake
D- bacon cheeseburger w/o bun, salad, yellow squash and zuccini
FitDay Totals: Cals 1843 , Carbs 22 g, Fiber 4 g

Sunday - back on track today!
B/L- 3 egg omelette w/ cheese and ham
D- steak, green beans, salad
S- spoonful of cool whip
FitDay Totals: Cals 1372, Carbs 28 g, Fiber 7 g

Plan for today.. not set. I have to go to the store!
B- hb egg
S- 2 oz cheese
L- ???
D- pork chop, salad, veggie

I think the best thing for me is to post my results from the day before to show that I'm accountable. Late nights can be rough on me and I tend to sneak in the fridge and go off track.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Alison laughed out loud on Saturday! She was smiling and squealing at me when we were out to dinner with friends, and then suddenly laughed. It was adorable!

She's still working on getting used to her crib. At least she slept 5 hours straight last night. She had been sleeping about 6-7 hours straight in her PNP, so it's getting better. I'm just dragging.. it was an exhausting weekend.

Dar- You are doing good with getting Alison in her crib! Hunter finally made it in his "big boy crib" at 16'ish weeks!

Chelle- Maybe your body just needed a little bit of a cheat, you never know, in order to jump start. I bet you meet your October goal ahead of schedule, just like the last one!

Hi to all the other mommies!

Well, this weekend was clean eating, but way to many carbs. I think on Saturday I hit about 40 and yesterday was about 30. Back on track today though with lowering them.

B- 2 egg scramble with small amount of cheese, onion, pepper
S- String Cheese
L- Chicken Wings, slice of cheesecake (YUM!)
S- ?
D- ? Either chicken and veggies, or steak and veggies

Chelle- Hi. I hope you see 277 again tomorrow! I also hope you do not get called into work on your days off- that would suck. I had to laugh at Shawn's work- the only day off he had last week was Thursday and they actually tired to call him in to work- and he works 12 hours shift- He was like- there is no way I can come into work today -

Dar- 1 little bit of cake shouldn't hurt. on Alison laughing. I love when they do that.

I did really good eating wise this weekend and the scale is down 2 more pounds- . So happy about that. We had a big scare yesterday. We where at my grandfathers and had a bday party for my cousin. My cousin's stepdaugher Hannah and Jessica play together all the time. Hannah is going to be 5 in August. Well Hannah's mom told Hannah to get ready to go. So they went out on the porch to say good bye to some of my family. I was inside changing Alexander's diaper. There where 5 grown up on the porch. My mom, my aunt, Hannah's mom and stepdad and my uncle. Well after I change Alexander's diaper I come outside. I didn't see the Hannah and Jessica- so I asked where they where (15 min had gone by). They thought they where on the side porch. I called for them and no answer. So we thought they had went on the back porch- NO- I started to panic- I couldn't understand where they could have gone. Then my cousin noticed that they where in his vechile. It was almost 87degrees out and they where sitting in the vechile with the windows rolled up. I was so upset. 1) They should have been watching them 2) I always lock my vechile- why shouldn't they have locked there. Everytime I think about what could have happened I get so ticked off. Thank god they are ok. Jessica can't open car doors up yet so it was Hannah's idea- but still we had a good talking to with the girls- I just hope they understand the seriousness. -

Ok I will bbl-
Kristen

Dar- Yup, I admitted it :-) But, my friend loved it so much, he wants me to bring one to the next wine tasting event next month. He thought it was a healthier alternative to his store bought creations!

Good Morning Girls~

No headache today (so far) & feeling much better!

Chelle~ Hooray for 277! Maybe you just had to shake things up a bit to get the 'ol scale moving? Hope your work-week goes well!

Dar~ Yay Alison for laughing out loud! Just last night my DH was trying to get Reilly to do the same thing, he's still doing the "silent laugh." So, she's adjusting good to her crib? Is she a back or tummy sleeper? I've really been dragging my feet on putting Reilly in his crib at night because he's a tummy sleeper (but I do let him nap in the crib during the day.) I just feel better with him in the bassinet by my bed, but he's really getting too big for it.

Kristen~ OMGosh, that would have made me mad, too! I'm glad the girls are okay.

Melissa~ Hi! The menu looks great!

Have to run, I hear Reilly waking from his nap. I'm so paranoid, I have baby monitors all over the house; DH says it looks like an FBI sting around here.

Be back later.

Good morning ladies!

I didn't do great this weekend. Saturday was freeday, but I was bad and let it carry into yesterday as well. I started out good yesterday, but went to some of my family's house and it went downhill from there. No excuses, that was just bad of me.

SO, I'm starting fresh today.

B- BFL McMuffin, crystal lite

S- BFL Bar

L- Salmon, brown rice, snow peas

S- Yogurt

D- Chicken pasta primavera

S- Skinny cow ice cream

Today is UBWO day.

I've decided since I've been more lax these last 2 weeks that I'm going to extend my challenge out another week or so. I'm just feeling like I haven't been giving my all to it. I've done okay, and am still losing, but I feel like I lost my exercise drive a bit, so I'm going to focus on that for the next week or two. Then I'm going to take a week off and start another one.

Tanner is doing really good. I woke up this morning and he was sleeping on his belly. It really surprised me. He hates being on his tummy so usually he rolls onto his belly and then gets really fussy until I come and turn him over so he'll go back to sleep. Today he was just snoozing away... weird!

Chelle: Woohoo on 277!! Gotta love that!!!! I hope you don't get called into work, that would be awful!

Dar: Posting stuff really does help, it keeps you accountable. You are doing great! Yay for Alison laughing out loud! Isn't that the cutest?

Melissa: Glad your cheesecake was a hit! Those are so yummy!

Kristen: Oh my! That is scary!! I would have been fuming! Yay on being down 2 lbs!!

Emily: Glad you are feeling better!!

She would prefer to sleep on her tummy if I let her. But, I'm paranoid. She does nap on her belly during the day when we are around. Once she rolls over, I won't mind putting her on her belly.. I think. LOL... She's working on rolling over, though. She was on her tummy yesterday and was flipping her legs over, but that darned arm is still in the way. She's not really aware of herself yet. She doesn't grab anything with her hands except for our fingers. She doesn't grab for toys or anything like that just yet.

I did something horrible the first night she was in her crib... I have a bad habit, when I'm very tired, of turning off my alarm with the intent of getting up, then falling back to sleep. Well, Caena asked to go out at 3 am. When I came back in, Alison was fussing, but I laid back down to see if she'd go back to sleep. About 15 minutes later, she was starting to fuss more so I turned off the monitor with the intent of getting up to feed her. Next thing I know it's 4 am, the monitor is off, and Alison is crying in her room. I could hear her across the house! Bad mommy.

Morning ladies... Just a quick one for me today! I had a bad eating weekend.. . I did perfect for one whole stinkin' week, then blow it on the weekend. Well, it was really just one meal each day, but not good. So... just protein today to get back into ketosis. I am making those baby slings to sell at the hippie festivals my sister vends at. Hopefully that brings in a little extra cash. We'll see. So I'm bustin' my butt this week since they have a big one this weekend.

Ok.. I'll try to BBL!!

Good morning, ladies!! Nothing new to report here...had a fun weekend in Sheridan. My youngest (almost 7) SIL came back with me for the week...so this should be a fun week! She does atleast help out a little though!

Chelle-I bet you just needed to shake your body up a little bit!! Great job on seeing 277!! I hope your week goes good!

Dar-Awwww...their first laugh is so sweet!! I've done the same thing, accidently falling back to sleep, so don't feel bad!! Your menu's look great....your one menu with your higher calories shouldn't do anything bad, high, low, high, low is how I finally saw the 140's!!

Melissa-I'm sorry it was soooo hot there this weekend. It was nice enough in Sheridan for us to go swimming Saturday but that is it. Now we're supposed to have rain all week, YUCK!! I'm glad your cheesecake was such a success!!

Kristen-Congrats on the 2 lbs. down!!! Awesome job!!! That is really scary about Jessica and her cousin. I can just imagine how freaked I would be! I know that Alexis and Jessica are the same age and there is no way Alexis could get into our vehicles by herself so I'm sure it was her older cousin's influence. I'm glad they're safe!

Sarah-I had a off weekend too! I'm back on track today. My body wants to go to the gym so bad...can't wait to hit it hard tonight!!

Suzanne is on vacation right now, but she doesn't post in here anymore. She posts on the Gentle Mommies thread in the Pen Pal forum!

Morning moms-
Quick drive by, just wanted to stop in and say hello!

Chelle- wow! You are doing so great!! Don’t worry about the cake, everyone needs a little cheat from time to time.

Dar- your menu looks good!
What a sweet DH you have too!
I love to hear a baby laugh! It’s the sweetest sound!

Melissa- your menu looks pretty good too.
Weekends are always so hard!

Kristen- oh how scary!! I am glad they were ok!

Emily- on the sting! Yay on your loss!

Sarah- just do it dear! You have been doing so well! You will get there.

Dawn- I bet you make a fortune off those slings!

Vanessa- is your new weight holding?

Well, Katie’s party went really well yesterday! Lots of food, everyone had a good time. I forgot to upload the pics. Maybe tonight.

BBL- just wanted to say hi!

What do they look like and how much? Murphy is getting to be a hip hugger while I cook dinner and I am thinking of getting one to save my arm.

He got his first tooth this weekend, but was still very whiny all yesterday. I guess I am still waiting for the other one to break through.

Melissa~ when did you have Hunter eating 3 meals? Was around that point that he started sleeping through the night? Murphy is still wanting to nurse at least twice a night, but usually more like 3 times.

I have fallen into a habit the last week of taking him into our bed after the first nursing. He and I are sleeping so much better, but I am torn. I have 50/50 opinions on cosleeping. I actually like it, but I fear what lies down the road if I let it continue. Does anybody have any experience with this?

Hi Jen!
I enjoyed sleeping with my kids too, off and on, when they were little, but for some reason, Katie just really likes HER bed. I can walk in with her, stand over the crib, with her favorite blanket and binky and she will almost dive out of my arms to get to her crib
I guess it's just up to you and DH and what you feel comfortable with. Most co-sleeping kids do start to migrate back to their beds around 2-3 years old. Depends on what works best for you, DH and baby.

Vanessa- are you starting your workouts back up tonight?

Vanessa- Cool that you liked the way you looked in a swimsuit and glad you can workout again.

Tracy- Hi.

K-Jenn- I think you should do what works best for you. I was always to afraid to co-sleep with Jessica- but she is a horrible sleeper and moves all over the place at night - since my husband works nights I was afraid she would fall off the bed. She gets up and gets in bed with me most nights now- I let her if Shawn isn't in bed. If he is sleeping in bed it is to crowded- (the dog also sleeps with us.) Glad Murphy got his first tooth in!

Don't beat yourself up over this! Chances are, she did originally put herself back to sleep & when you heard her @ 4am, she had just started to cry again. As for the tummy sleeping, that is the only way Reilly will sleep, so I recently gave in & let him sleep that way. He has been able to roll over (from tummy to back) since he was a week old & he's strong enough to pull his head up & turn it from side-to-side. It still scares me that he sleeps like that at night, that's why I'm hesitant to put him in his crib at night.

Hunter was about 5.5 months when he started eating 3 meals a day. He started eating solids at 4 months. Granted the 3 meals was about 1-2oz of food each time.

As for co-sleeping, you should do what you feel is best for you.
