YAAAAA I've been added to the TTC List

What's the soonest I can test after BMS? I'm like a new mom in some ways because so many things have changed since I had my other two.

BMS = Baby Making Sex...lol

I thought everyone had been to babycenter.com & knew their acronyms. Let's see, there's also AF (Aunt Flo), BFP (Big Fat Positive), and of course BFN (Big Fat Negative). They have about 100 more...

Oh, okay. Nope, never been to that website. I'm used to calling it baby dancing.

Well, it depends on the test. Some tests you can test up to 5 days before you expect AF (that one I know ). Others you aren't supposed to test until the day you expect it. They should say on the package when you can test. I tested with an EPT 1 day before and got a faint positive.

Morning ladies...ugh...I am exhausted!! After Saturday, I think it made me so tired I am still trying to catch up. Plus I am at that point where I toss and turn ALL night long!!

Grace ~ Morning!!

Jennifer ~ BMS...I have never heard of that either. I used Fertility Friend and always uesed BD (baby dancing). Dar basically already answered your question about testing. Good luck this month!

Dar ~ Hi Darlene.

DH is on an assembly roll!! He keeps putting everything together. I keep telling him that we don't need it all right now. Maybe start in a few more weeks, but he has the pack and play, the bouncy, the stroller, the car seat and the crib all put together. Next is the swing and then the high chair. I am trying to talk him into not doing the high chair yet since we won't need it for a while and he just keeps telling me he is on a roll. LOL

Also, I have given in and decided we NEED to put in the two other AC's in the living room and kitchen because all I didn was whine all weekend about how hot I was. I had hoped to hold off for a while longer, but I find I don't leave the bedroom because of the AC.

Well, I should get some work done...I am leaving for a doctor's appt today.

LOL, Amy, we were the same way. It was good for us to get the PNP together, though, since we had to rearrage bedroom furniture for it. Might as well do it now while you've got the time!

I hope you saw my response yesterday!

Dar ~ Ooops...did see your response yesterday. I am so foggy brained that I forgot to respond. I think when we finally get the bureau and the changing table and start going through everything, I will have to see exactly what we have. It just seems between recieving blankets, towels, wash cloths, burp cloths...we have so much!! Good to know that we have enough bottles. And, yup, got the bottle brush too and the dishwasher rack thingy for the nipples. The only other think I am nervous about, about putting stuff together is I don't want the cats to make their homes in the cribs and bouncy. I will probably let DH put them together, but not set them up in their permanent homes for a few more weeks. I had heard somewhere to put tin foil in the bottom of the crib or PNP to help teach the cats not to sleep there.

If I missed anyone else...I am so sorry.

Since you have the cats, setting up the stuff now to get them used to it being around is your best bet. Let them investigate and smell, but don't let them get used to sleeping in it. My cat, Frasier, thought the PNP was pretty cool until he got squirted with water a couple times. I have also heard alum foil works, too, as well as double stick tape. Good luck!

Morning Ladies,

Congratulations to Lara and Amy!

I've been reading back here a few days trying to figure out who's where. Coupla things:
1. THANK GOD!!!! They still make Dermoplast! In my opinion, they could charge 50 times what it costs & I'd still buy it. I have bad scaring and had to have my episiotomy redone after my daughter and lemme tell ya...it's worse having it when you don't have a baby. It was major, knock me out, surgery. And Dermoplast was my best friend.
2. For those worrying about modesty...you'll be chucking it out the door soon. When I was being checked by the nurse before I delivered Celeste, she went in up to her elbow (or at least that's what it looked like looking down on her). DH said "huh, I've never been able to do that". I swear she RAN out of the room. After deliver I had no modesty and didn't care who saw me naked.
3. SmileyAmy, how's you DH's job situation? Any word yet?

Jennifer...I was wondering about Meg too. I hope everything went well. I assume she will be checking in soon.

And regarding DH's job...things are looking up, but I don't want to jinx anything. I hope to have more details today! Cross your fingers for me.

SmileyAmy-Praying for good news about DH's job! Sounds like your shower was fun. You will be surprised how many blankets and washclothes you will need. I went through a ton of washclothes when DS was starting solids.

The sun is out here today It snowed every night this weekend.

Hey Ladies. I'm here and still pregnant.

OMG Luna/Lara- Your daughter is BEAUTIFUL. Not that the other newborns on here aren't beautiful. BUT OMG she looks so not like a newborn. She is the perfect little newborn!

VixenAmy- Congrats girl...can't wait to hear about your homebirth!

Ummmm, I forget just about everything else I read from this weekend and today!

I'll check back soon.

Had to take DS to the Dr. He has an middle ear infection with a ruptured eardrum in one ear and swimmer's ear in the other! Not one complaint until yesterday too!

Oh JenWV- 3rd baby usually doesn't get a shower. My last baby shower was 6 years ago. I kinda missed the attention with DD and this baby. But you might have alot of stuff you need already.

Smiley-12+ receiving blankets is good. 6 washclothes if you are using just for baths.

I like no less than 12 bottles, some babies eat every 2-4 hrs and it is nice to have the extra. IMO. If they are smaller 4 oz bottles 8-10 is good because you will need the bigger 8 oz bottles

Nah...I have NOTHING! We thought we were done, but are going through the "my babies aren't babies anymore" syndrome. It's all good though, I'm queen of the yard sales (cept for a Crib). Course with first baby you want everything, baby #3...well I know what the bare minimum I need is.

JWV- Do you have someone that will throw you a shower? I'm sure someone will especially if you hint that you have NOTHING. I had too much, but my sister asked if I wanted one. I told her it was up to her but most people didn't take to kindly to it. I still had the crib and everything. Good luck TTC!
