Morning ladies,
I'm just heading out to take ds to the doctor. We need to have his ear rechecked to make sure the infection went away. So, I'm just popping in for now.

We had our u/s yesterday. Baby Boy is measuring in at 6lbs 4oz ! She thinks he's probably a bit bigger but she had a terrible time trying to get his measurements. He is lying sideways BEHIND Baby Girl! So her stomach is right across his chest/neck area if you can imagine that. Baby Girl is measuring in at 6lbs 7oz ! Both of their butts and feet are up under my left side of my rib cage. I've had a crooked belly for a week or so now and that explains why.
Anyhoo, I'll check in later. Hope everyone is doing okay.
~Good luck Meg!!!

Wow, Alli! They are big! And they want you to wait until the 24th?!?!

Jessica, I had tons of BH contractions, but absolutely no progress. Everyone's different, so I wouldn't fret.

My thoughts are with Meg today!

Also sending labor vibes Lara's way!!!

Hello to everyone else this morning. Here are those 2 month pictures I took on Monday. I'm not really happy with them. I took the second one without a flash to try to get a more natural look, but she is looking at DH and his shadow makes the picture dark.

Good morning!
Alli - sounds like the babies are doing great, good luck
Darlene - Alison's pictures are so cute. She looks enthralled by her Daddy. The second pic looks great too.

Alli ~ Wow, you have got some heathly babies in there!! I bet the 24th seems like it will never get here!

Meg ~ Good luck today!! Can't wait to meet Charlotte!

Dar ~ Allison is so cute and she has such a sweet smile. I love her little outfit.

vjfreddi ~ Hi!!

VixenAmy ~ Hope you can realax enough to get baby here soon!!

Becca ~ Hope you are doing okay today. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Luna ~ Same as Becca, but my toes are reserved for you!

This working until 7:00 to catch up is killing me. I feel like I have NO time to unwind when I get home. I don't get home unitl like 7:30, I have to eat, get my stuff together for the next day, etc and before I know it it is 9:30 and time for bed. DH is on a set bedtime because he has to get tested for a sleep disorder at the end of June, so we have to be religious about it.

Finally gave up and begged DH to put the AC in our room last night. Ahhhh...refreshing!! Only thing is, this apartment is an old house and the AC doesn't fit in the window right so it is being propped up by a 2x4 on the sill and if someone wanted to break in God forbid, all they have to do from the outside is push the AC and it comes right out!! I am taking my chances. I don't think anyone is going to try to push an AC out to break in...I am more concerned about the bugs sneaking in through the cracks!!

Well, got work to do. BBL

Hello ladies!

Alli--Wow! You have some big babies in there! Do you think you'll make it until the 24th?

Dar--Thanks for the new pics. Alison is so sweet. I like the second pic. I don't think it looks too dark. It is hard to believe she's two months old already.

Hello, vjfreddi! How are you doing?

I slept pretty well last night and actually don't feel awful today! I have a feeling I'll be feeling icky here soon, but it was nice to have a morning where I got up and actually felt almost normal.

I'll be back later.

Morning!

Meg-Good Luck today. Praying for a great birth.

GoJackets-One pound is great!. Do what you think is best for your family. Hugs

Louise-I am taking OTC prenatals with a DHA supplement.

Alli-Your twins are growing great! I bet your doctor is impressed that you have done so well.

Dar20-Alison is such a sweetie. Great pictures, keep them coming.

vjfreddi-Hi, how are you feeling?

Amy-Glad the AC was a relief.

Becca-Are you having contractions today?

I had my first prenatal appointment yesterday. Everything is great. Got tons of freebies and samples. I have my first ultrasound in two weeks and then again around 18 weeks. I thought for sure that I had gained weight within the last two weeks but their scale said the same thing it said last month when I was in for my annual exam. I must just be bloated.

Have a great day everyone!

Jackie

Things are going great here.
Amy- sorry your work day is so long and leisure time so short. That sucks when it works out that way. Glad you need airconditioning though, we are sitting in another rainy week and only 58 degree high today. whooppee.

Louise-enjoy those "slept pretty well nights", I have lapsed back into up 2-3 times to the washroom and then toss and turn. But fortunately haven't been feeling it through the day.

Jackie - way to go on the postitive first prenatal. It's so weird to me that ultrasounds are so common for you guys. Here (Canada) we usually have but one in an uneventful pregnancy. My sister lives in Georgia and on one appt, she wasn't scheduled for a u/s but they whipped her in for a quick one when they couldn't hear the heartbeat like they wanted! fortunately Everything was fine.

Best of luck to everyone who are ready to deliver!

Good morning ladies.

Trailboss- I woke up with killer contractions. But I got up and peed and drank some more water and they subsided.

I'm so sick of this. The stress of having to determine whether or not they are real is getting to me. Plus the pain. I'm so uncomfortable. I have an internal on Friday so we'll see if there is any change. I hope so....that would put me a little closer. I'm very worried I will have this baby super fast. I was in labor for 22 hrs with DS and then 7 hrs total with DD. 7 hrs is not very long at all and this one should be even faster. Dr. may let us induce a few days before the due date if my cervix is changing. Not sure, I might do it. I don't want a homebirth or toiletbirth! LOL Plus DH works 2 hrs from home. He is 1 hr from the hospital and I'm 45 min from the hospital and my ILs live 20 min from my house and have to watch the kids. There is just too much to try and coordinate. Okay, sorry about that outpouring.

Oh and if someone non pregnant/non female is reading one of my posts. STOP HERE PLEASE. TMI

I have been having the most horrible thing. To add to my restless leg syndrome and itchies I have the crotch itchies!! Doesn't happen until nighttime when I'm laying down trying to sleep. It is obviously a nerve thingy but I can't take it!! There is no underlying condition LOL. But I found this spray at the drugstore that might be good post-partum too for anyone that has stitches or hemmroids, etc. It is made by monistat and is called soothing care anti-itch spray. It is an external analgesic. Numbs it up really good. NO MORE ITCHIES!! Now if I could spray it over all my skin I'd be set!

Okay, now for my tip/tidbit of the day. I've missed a few.

Don't worry about being all neatly shaven and etc for when you have baby. Drs and nurses don't even look there until the head is crowning. And they don't care if your legs are shaved either. BUT.....wear clean socks. NO one wants to smell your stinky feet!

First time Moms..don't worry about being exposed either. You will probably arrive at the hospital. Change into a gown in the bathroom and give a urine sample. Hope into bed...get checked and stuff, then you can get up and do your thing or depending on how fast things are going, get your epi, lay on your left side and labor. LOL You will be covered by a sheet/blanket, whatever until it is time to push...then they take your sheet... WAAAAHHHH

LOL, I don't know if they do this for vaginal births, but the day after my surgery a nurse came in with an assistant to check my tush for 'roids. Um, hello??!!!?? You could've asked first! I never had them and had a c-section. It was pretty embarrassing, but oh, well. And they loved to check to see how I was bleeding and change my pad for me until I could get up. Ick. I was too out of it to care, but looking back it kind of creeps me out. LOL...

Becca I just hope there's a change on Friday. I hate to hear how you are suffering.

Crotch itchies!! Sorry Becca, had to laugh at that one. Although I am sure it is a pain in the butt to have. I am sorry you are so uncomfortable...I hope something happens soon for you or on Friday they make a decsion or have good news.

Becca ~ Also, thanks for that tip. Maybe is sounds immature, but I am terrified of having a male doctor. I don't even like having a woman doctor down there!! And if there are any students in the room! *faint*

vjfreddi ~ My mother lives on PEI and she is very jealous of our weather down here. I think it is just starting to warm up a bit up there. She is excited about coming down this weekend and finally feeling some summer weather - although I don't know how much she will like it while she is in it! Hope it warms up for you soon!

Dar ~ OMG...they checked your bumbum!?!? I hope I am out of it enough to not be mortified!!

Hi Sarah!

Well, back to the grind! Ugh...

Ugh, Dar, they did that to me too. I wanted to look at that nurse and say "lady, I didn't even labor. I had a c-section. I'm fine!" And they came in at 4 am once to change my pad, check my bleeding and "clean me up." I think they could've waited until the sun had actually come up!

Good luck today Meg!

Lookie what I got to do...

He was so awake the whole time. He would cry for a minute and then enjoy it for a minute. He just didn't quite know what to think. He did enjoy rocking though, and that convinced dh to buy me a glide rocker (which he didn't think I needed until that point). He gets to start eating today (breastmilk via a feeding tube). Hopefully his tummy has healed well enough to tolerate it.

I promise I'll start participating more once I don't have dh here monopolizing my time. LOL I figure I still get to hang out here until my due date.

Mandy!!! I love the pictures! He is beauuuuutiful!! Congrats!

Becca...I. FEEL. YOUR. PAIN. I've had the same phenomenon for the last few days too! I don't know if it is related to my bladder issues or mucus issues, but it totally sucks!! Maybe I'll pick up some of the spray you mentioned.

I hope Meg is doing well!!

Alli...your twins are so big! That's excellent!! I can't imagine having 13 lbs of baby inside me! You're a saint! I'd be calling for an induction ASAP in that case...even though I am totally against it. Kudos to you for holding out this long!!

I am glad to hear that many of you didn't have any signs of labor before having babies. I feel a little better about things! Haha. Though I could do without friends and family pestering me everyday...I am glad they are excited, but I am still two weeks away from my due date, if anything happens...I will let people know! Everyone just needs to chill out!! Aiyiyi!

He weighs right around 3 pounds. He lost several ounces because of surgery and hasn't really been gaining well because they've been giving him IV nutrition. He should start packing on the pounds now that they're going to be giving him breastmilk.

Jehcekah- I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one, but sorry to hear you have it too. Spray was like $12 but WELL worth it. I will go up and look at the main ingredient in it and tell you in case they don't have it where you go.

Dar, Mandy, Amy- When you have a vaginal birth, the nurses will come in and check your "bottom" they say and push on your stomach and take your BP and temp every 4 hrs or with a shift change. They are looking for all sorts of things, swelling, hemmroids, infection. Once you have a vaginal birth...you really don't care who looks down there in the hospital. The first time you pee after giving birth the nurse will help you and show you how to clean yourself with a squirt bottle of warm water too. They don't care, they have seen and heard it all.

Amy, you think you will care if you have a male dr. but you really won't. The doctor will not be there for much of it. Most of it is nurses and they are so helpful you won't see it as an intrusion. It is different than being in a Dr. office. Once you are ready to push the Dr. will be there and you really won't care. Male doctors IMO have a better bedside manner and are more sensitive to a woman's pain. Female Drs tend to act like you need to suck it up and they won't give you pity. I choose to visit female Dr. in the office, but both my other kids were delivered by men and I didn't care. I'm the type that would have too, but once you are there you really don't care who is watching!

MANDY!! OMG he is so cute and you guys look so happy together!! We needs pics of Jake too!!! Hey girl...have Jake make some voice recording for Spencer if you can while he is here. So you can play them for Spencer when Jake is still away. Spencer will love hearing Daddy's voice!

Hey everyone else I missed cuz I can't remember worth a darn lately!!

Meg....good thoughts!!

Oh and Alli- I can't believe your babies are 6+lbs!! You have done a GREAT JOB at taking care of those twins! Not alot of women can carry twins to term. I'm sure this will make things easier on you. Hey girl, did you sign up for all the diaper/formula/etc things that you can for multiple births? There are some great offers out there for you. I wish you the best of luck and lots of patience in caring for two at once. Will you BF?

Mandy-Spencer looks wonderful. What a joyfull moment to finally hold him.

Becca-I used Dermaplast postpartum with DS. AAAAAHHHHHHH relief!

Jehcekah-With DS I never had a contraction (BH or real) until I was hooked up to Pitocin (due to not contracting on my own after water broke). You are getting so close!

And like Dar and Becca said-there is no chance of being discrete.

See ya,

Jackie

I am on the verge of tears right now!!

I haven't gone into this with you guys because I don't want to complain any more than I already do, but I am going to lose it!!

DH has been working temp at this company since September. Finally after a huge run around, they offer him a full time permanent position. Two weeks ago Friday, they send him for a physical and drug test. Well, doctor asks him if he had ever spent the night in a hospital. DH says "yes". They ask what for. He tells them that it was for possible sleep apnea. So, now they have this form that DH's primary needs to fill out asking if this will affect him driving a forklift and what the result of the test were, along with a couple of other things. The issue is, we never finished the sleep test. So, now DH is not allowed to drive forklift at his (still temp) job. So, last Wednesday, DH goes to meet with his primary dr they go over the form, he agrees that what he does or doesn't have won't affect him driving a forklift and he will fill out the questionairre favorable. DH tells him to fax the sheet over asap to the hospital where he had the physical. Wednesday passes, Thursday, Friday... Finally Friday I call his doctor and I get "Oh, I was supposed to fax that over someplace??" So, Monday passes, Tuesday...hospital still hasn't gotten it. Finally today they finally get it, but apparently it's filled out wrong or the info isn't good!! So, now we are waiting for DH's primary to call the hospital to go over whatever it is they need. Hospital/HR won't release any info to DH and if what DH's primary says doesn't fly with the hospital/his work, they DH has no job!

I am freaking out right now...on the verge of tears that we are two months away and DH might not have a job!! He has busted his butt at this place. I am so scared guys. I don't know what I will do if he calls and says he doesn't have a job.

FYI...the issue that DH has with sleeping is that he is a heavy sleeper - VERY heavy sleeper!! So, it isn't that he falls asleep easy or nods off so this really has NO affect on him not being able to drive a fork life.

I am so scared...

Amy- First of all, please try and calm down. I am sorry you are going through this. It will work out. I would continue to bug his doctors office until they get it right.

I swear if a doctors business was dependant on customer service, there would be many poor, unemployed doctors in this county!

Praying for you,

Jackie

Ah pumping. The pump and I have a very complicated relationship. LOL Yes, I'm pumping every 2-3 hours. Its going ok. I get at least 80 milliliters at each session. My left boob is producing more than twice what my right boob is though, so I'm trying to find out if I can fix that or if its something I just have to live with. I feel very, very tied to the pump. Dh and I have to decide how much time it will take us to do X, Y, or Z. Can we stop by the hospital on the way so I can pump? If I pump now will we have enough time to run all our errands? Should we take the pump with us? It is enough to drive me insane!
